Arya's POV
She ran from the room, where Renly had told her the news, that made her blood boil. only stopping to grab needle from her room. She could hear Elia and Obella shouting her name from another room, but they wouldn't find her. She knew this tower better than anyone and she knew how to leave it unseen and undetected. She knew who she wanted to talk to, it wasn't Sansa, It wasn't King Renly, Lord Karstark, either of her friends Elia and Obella, it wasn't even Prince Trystanne or Syrio.
She needed to find the one man whom knew what it was like to lose someone you loved and seek vengeance for their death.
She turned left, going through a narrow near obscure door next to a wardrobe. She ran down the narrow spiral stair case, eventually after hundreds of steps emerging into sunlight. She ducked down narrowly missing being seen by northern guards, she then leapt out from the shadows as quick as a cat, leaping over the short wall, racing into the Red Keep heading down to the cellars which she had discovered when she had first arrived in King's Landing.
She used the cellars often to move under the Red Keep undetected. She dashed pass the dragon skulls, some tiny from the dragons that had died last all the way to the huge skulls from the original dragons of Valaryia. As she approached the largest and was about to head up the stairs which would take her to near the courtyard, where she hoped Prince Oberyn would be, she heard voices coming down the stairs.
She hurriedly backed into the dragon skull right behind her hiding beneath it and peering through the eye socket. With the darkness surrounding her she couldn't make out whom they were, she thought she recognised one of the voices but couldn't place it.
"I was surprised to find you were not aware of the pact, with so many of your birds about?" the first person said, the one she sort of recognised.
"Well obviously you did it in great secret, as I have done many things in secret that cannot get out, as the game is played," replied the second the one.
"You play the game well; I had not expected to see you back here after you fled the capitol,"
"Neither had I, not for a while but more things must change, the Kingdom is still too strong if she will reclaim her throne."
"Aye, that is true, what would these changes involve, I am assuming Faceless men again." Asked the first person slyly
"Again, what do you mean?" the second slightly larger man asked sounding surprised.
"Do not take me for a fool, Varys, I know the signs of Faceless men, I travelled around Essos remember."
Varys? Wasn't that the master of whispers who somehow slipped away. Who was he talking to. What were the faceless men.
"I remember, I will see you around."
She watch as Varys walked deeper into the cellar slowly disappearing from sight. The other guy turned around and walked directly up the stairs.
She waited a moment, and then rushed up looking around but no one was insight. She pushed it to the back of her mind and sprinted off to find Oberyn.
She found him in the training yard. He was practising with Ser Daemon, she watched amazed as Oberyn did a flip over Ser Daemon's sword, swinging his spear around at the same time to catch his opponents left leg, tripping him up. Oberyn then spun around jabbing his spear right in Ser Daemon's face, just millimetres away from drawing blood.
Turnign around he noticed her standing there waiting for him.
"AH Arya, such a surprise, I was sorry to hear of the crime done against your family."
"I don't want you sympathy, I have no use for sympathy. I want your help with revenge and Justice."
"Ah, I understand." He replied slyly, putting his arm around Arya and steering her into the Red Keep, "Remember some people see them as the same thing."
Wait no, that accent, that voice, the one in cellar. She suddenly realised whom that person was, but it couldn't be could it?
