Supernatural She-Wolf

by TimeAndLife21

She drove into Forks at midnight. She was dead tired and was yawning quite a bit. She had been on the road for three days. She had Kansas 'Carry on My Wayward' playing and she had to turn it down a bit when she rolled into town. She went to the nearest motel and parked. As she leaned back into her seat she sighed.

"Eight years...it's been Eight years since I left." She thought to herself.

She got out of her car and stretched. She felt her bones pop and crack at the strain, but she felt a satisfying relief that came with it. She grabbed her bag, she gave up on purses long ago, and check herself in on the cheapest room available.

It was tiny, but it suited her needs at the moment. She was in no rush to go to her home or the Cullen's house anytime soon. She just wanted to relax for the night. Right after she checks the local news in Forks. She took out a macbook pro computer and typed in the search engine, 'Forks, Washington news.' She looked up the miscellaneous news. Graduating students from Forks High, someone's prized zucchini squash won largest vegetable at the state fair, etc. It was 2 o clock when she check the time. She took out rock salt and placed it on the windows and doorway. She needed some sort of peace tonight. She stripped off her clothes, save her her sports bra and panties, and cuddled in the bed and closed her eyes, falling into a dreamless sleep.

The next morning, or afternoon, she had slept in until around 3. Knowing that she had paid for three nights at the motel, she left the motel with her bag, complete with computer and wallet, she headed towards the nearest diner. The scent of food waifed in her nostrils and a nostalgic smile crept across her face. She took a seat and pushed her hair back behind her ear. It got long again. This time it was close to the length that she once had in high school, which was all the way down her back. She kept contemplating to cut it again, but for some odd reason, in her wolf form, the fur was always short. So she had let it grow out a little bit more. She had figured that since she was constantly shifting into a wolf when she was facing monsters and other supernatural creatures, even more so than she did years ago, she had managed to control the length of her hair. She smiled at the fact that she could be 'girly' again. She shook her head and took a drink of her jasmine tea.

She wondered who should she visit first. Her home? Her mother would most likely be asking where she had been all this time. Seth would just be glad that she came home. The Cullens? She smiled wryly. The Cullens would just be surprised that she came back home. She then snickered to herself. Edward Cullen would be in great surprise that he can't read her mind.

As the waitress put the food in front of her (two cheese burgers with everything on it, two large fries, a side of onion rings with heaps of fry sauce, a chocolate banana milkshake, and a large drink of Sarsprilla) she inquired to ask the waitress a couple of questions.

"So hows the trails this time of year? I'm thinking about going hiking sometime soon." Leah asked as she took a sip on her milkshake.

The young waitress 'eeped', she was like a rabbit being startled.

"Well, um...the trails are closed due to grizzly bear attacks right now. The local law enforcement along with the local hunting people around here are trying to find out where the attacks are coming from." The shy waitress explained.

"Really? I didn't see anything about that in the papers." Leah asked.

"Oh, my daddy is part of the local hunting sheriffs around here. He tells me these things. They don't want another repeat of what happened 8 years ago." She said before she had to go to another table.

"Grizzly attacks, huh?" She thought to herself.

"Maybe I should check it out. I'm sure the Cullens and my family can wait." She thought as she chowed down on her burgers.

The taste of meaty goodness hit her tastebuds. She almost moaned at the taste. She smiled to herself. It was good to be home for she was done with her food, she order a slice of apple pie. She couldn't help it. The pie in this diner was amazing. After eating the slice of pie( it had extra whipped cream on it), she pulled her long hair back and put it up in a high braided ponytail. This meant one thing. She was doing research. She took out her computer and connected to the wi-fi and looked up the various 'grizzly' attacks to see if there is anything strange going on.

Turns out there there have been some strange happenings going on. There have been some hikers saying that there was people in the forests that looked like they were mauled by bears, blood, gore and all, but the next minute they weren't there.

"Looks like a case of ghosts." She thought to herself.

Then something strange popped up. The description of the people who were obviously dead, were Native Americans. She internally groaned. Native American ghosts, or to be more specific, burial grounds, were totally rough and insane to deal with. She had to dead with a case like that in Idaho, due to a Native American little girl who placed a curse on her family home long after they had buried her due to a tragic death in a pool, the next family that moved in, their youngest child, age 5, drowned in the very pool. The ghost girl was very temperamental and was sad that her family left the house, thereby, leaving her alone with a strange family that she didn't like. After finding the burial ground where the girl was buried, Leah took bunch of hits before she was even able to salt and burn the little girl's body.

"The strange thing is that they were mauled by something. Was it the wolves? Other Leeches? Or actual bears?" She thought to herself.

She sighed. She just wished that she still lived a normal life, with her normal boyfriend and so forth. But no. She had to put on that 'superhero' suit and hunt the supernatural, even though she was supernatural herself. When did she ever sign up for this crap? She turned off her computer and closed it up. She put it away and paid the tip and money for her food, and got up to leave the diner. She left the diner, not realizing that she passed two men on her way back to the motel. She needed to find which trail it was that the hikers saw the ghosts. Joy. But one thing that didn't register in her mind, was: Why are Ghosts showing up in Forks and La Push?

Dean and Sam Winchester were eating a late lunch, Dean eating one of the best burgers at this small town diner, and Sam with his spinach salad. Dean was actually thinking about that cute girl that passed him earlier when she left the diner. He wondered if she lived around here. But those thoughts were stopped when Sam was explaining to him about the hiker's stories of ghosts in the mountains.

"Dean, it looks like these ghosts are Native American. Most of them from the old days of cowboys and indians apparently. But it seems like they were mauled by something. The hikers who saw these ghosts said that they looked like they were mauled by bears..." Sam said as he started clicking away at the laptop.

"So what are we looking at? Skin walkers? Wendigos? Werewolves? And on top of that, Ghosts? Sounds like fun." Dean said with a bit of his mouth full.

Sam put on a face that was confused and slightly irritated, oh wait, Dead saw it. Sam's bitchface.

"Okay, okay, so what now?" Dean asked.

"Well, La Push isn't too far from Forks, we could check things out over there." He asked.

Dean snickered. Sam gave him a weird look. Dean swallowed his food and chuckled.

"C'mon Sammy, Forks? Who names their town Forks? What's the nearest town from here? Spoons?" Dean said before finishing off his burger.

"Dean, I think there's more to this town than anything else. Here, this happened 8 years ago." Sam said as he turned the computer to him.

"Mysterious Smoke rising in mountains: Fire Rescue finds nothing."

"Yeah, so?" Dean raised an eyebrow.

"Dean, come on. Forks and La Push has a bunch of stuff surrounding them here. Something more is happening here." Sam said as he turned the computer around and started to read up more on Forks and La Push.

All Dean could think of was that sexy chick that he passed earlier. Maybe after this hunt, he can try and find her, and hit her up.

Leah sneezed, before sniffing and rubbing her nose. Someone must be taking about her. Ever since she met a Japanese 'God' back in New York, he told her that those who speak of others will sneeze. He was right. Luckily, the god wasn't vicious or man eating, which was good. And he helped her out on a violent ghost hunt that left a string on people dead in an apartment complex. There are GOOD supernaturals out there. She has met a few. She's one of them. She took off her nice clothes and put on her sweats and oversized t-shirt. Luckily for her, the motel was a little more out of the way from the town. She stepped outside, barefoot, and headed towards the forest.

She hadn't shifted for the past two weeks, and she wanted to feel the forest floor beneath her paws. After she was a certain ways away into the forest, she took off her clothes and placed it somewhere she can reach them. Which was in a nook of a slightly large oak tree. She had to mark it after she shifted, so that it will be easier to spot the clothes. She stepped back and slowly exhaled. The many times that she had shifted all those years ago was painful and torturing. Shifting fast and furious may have been the best way to shift, but it was painful afterwards. She took it slow.

She started from her arms and legs, the feeling tingling and stretching her muscles and bones. Her spine lengthened and she could feel the sweet release of the bones popping and rearranging themselves into their new places. She could feel the silky grey pelt come into play, warmth spread all over her body. Her ears moved to their new positions and her mouth extended into a muzzle. To finish off the transformation, her backside sprouted new bones for her long tail. She felt a slight after pain in her body, but it numbed up quickly. She sighed contently and stretched herself out. Even yawning with a loud groan. She shook herself out and smiled wolfishly. Contrary to belief, she really did enjoy being a wolf.

She lifted her front paw and left a long jagged scratch on the oak tree and was satisfied at the result. Now...for the running. She took off. The wind was rushing through her fur and she could feel her powerful legs propel her forward. Scents of all kinds wafted into her nostrils. The earth bent to her pounding of her paws as she dodged low branches and jumped fallen logs. She was back in her homelands. She ran straight to the cliff of La Push, careful to avoid certain holes in areas so that the wolf pack didn't pick up on her scent. She didn't want to let them know about her arrival just yet. As soon as she got there, she sniffed the air to make sure that the coast was clear. She carefully padded her way to the edge of the cliffs and looked out across the lake and the land.

If she was in her human form, she would be crying by now. She really missed La Push. The Land, the waters, the mountains, everything. She stood tall and proud as she surveyed the landscape. She had the urge to howl, but refrained. She sat down and just enjoyed the wind whipping through her fur, and her mind lost in good memories, before she was a shifter. She didn't know how long she sat there, but she looked westward and noticed that the sun was setting. She was about to turn around and head off until her eyes caught something down below where the beach area was at. She noticed that it was the La Push pack. It had gotten larger since she left. She could count from where she was standing about 30 people down there. If she looked closer, she could see children playing around in the sand.

She closed her eyes and back up with her tail between her legs. It brought back memories. When she was with Drake. They had been talking about marriage before he died. She still didn't have her menstrual cycle anymore, even after she stopped shifting. She told him that they might not be able to have kids. Bless his heart, he asked her about adoption. She remembered that Drake was also adopted in his family. And she didn't care if she had a blood child or not. She would care for the kids as if they were her own. Whining at the hurtful memories, she turned away and took off back to the oak tree. Lost in her memories of normalcy.

Sam and Dean headed back to the motel after a day of questioning. They went to hiking shops around Forks. Pretending to be getting stuff for an 'upcoming hike'. The shop keepers all said that same thing. Stay out of the Mountains until the Forest Rangers and police handle the situation. They did managed to have some shopkeepers say something about huge wolves in the forest though. It may have stopped normal people. But Sam and Dean were not normal.

"So..we have ghosts, and maybe some possibility of windegos. Fun." Dean said as he walked alongside his brother.

"What's weird is that there were some descriptions of large horse sized wolves. You still think that those ghosts were mauled by bears?" Sam asked.

"We'll have to check it out then." Dead said as then he paused in his steps, looking ahead.

"Speaking of checking things out, I think I'm seeing the cute girl I saw today, right there." He said as his eye locked on the browned skinned girl as she was cleaning out her car.

He had an especially good view of her behind.

"Dean!" Sam said slightly disgusted.

"What? She's hot...and I like her car too." Dean said as he also observed her car.

It was a Black Mustang. Girl had good taste.

"Dean, focus." Sam said.

He didn't have time for this. Dean had been restless for a few days as was he, but Dean was looking for an outlet that wasn't food. The girl apparently finished up cleaning her car and tossing the trash away and Dean too the time to look over her. She had really nice black hair, loosely braided with some strands having out, that reached the middle of her back. Her features were defiantly native american. Slightly angular, but she was defiantly the prettiest girl he's ever seen. At least in this area. She closed the door of her car and took out a key and went straight towards a room. Which was conveniently right next to their's.

"Score!" Dean thought as he brushed off some imaginary lint.

"Dean, you can screw around later. Come on, let's get to work." Sam said as he went to their room.

"Give me a sec, Sammy, I'm about to ask a hot chick for a date. I'll catch up in a few." He said as he left Sam alone and went up to the unknown woman's door.

He was about to knock on it when it suddenly opened and slammed it slammed into his face.

He let out a shout of surprise and fell as he was hit.

"Oh! Sorry about that!" He heard a voice.

He looked up and saw the woman he was about to talk too.

"Oh, hey, no problem. I'm used to doors hitting me in the face." He groaned as he stood up.

He could faintly hear Sam snickering at his predicament.

"I'm really sorry about that." She said as she held out a hand, then she smirked.

"I rarely have guys outside my door." She said.

"Spunky. I like that." He thought as he took her hand and she helped him up.

She was slightly shorter than he was. But now that he got a closer look, she looked pretty good.

"Well, I couldn't help but notice that you were cleaning out that sweet mustang you have." He smiled.

"Ah, I've had that car for about..." She pondered.

"Three, four years now? He's my stud. And it's nice to be back here in Washington." She said as she crossed her arms and sighed.

This perked his curiosity.

"Back? You are from here?" He asked.

"I live in the Native Territory. La push. Though I have family here in Forks too." She said as she reached to take out her braid and then tie it up.

" La Push, huh? I've been hearing about the hikes up there. Beautiful scenery, dangerous animals, the works. Me and my brother are thinking of going hiking up there soon." He said.

Little did he know the woman looked at him with cautious curiosity.

"What did you say your name was? I was thinking Door face, seeing that the door hit you when I was walking out." She said cocking her hip out.

"Dean Winchester. And may I have your lovely name?" He asked putting on a smile.

Maybe it was a trick of the sunset, but he swore that her eyes quickly flashed gold as she smiled at him.

"Leah. Leah Clearwater."
