Supernatural She-Wolf
by TimeAndLife21
For the next couple of days, unbeknownst to both parties of hunters. They were on the trail of the strange ghosts showing up in both Forks and La Push. Leah's three days at the motel was short-lived. The Winchester Brothers were pretty nice to be around, even if she wasn't there a lot. She packed up her stuff, or what's little of it, and put it in the back seat of her car. Sam, who warmed up the the shorter woman, was talking with her.
"So, you are heading off?" He asked. Dean was admiring the Mustang.
"Yeah, I'll be visiting my brother in Forks first. Provided his friend's family is just as welcoming...Oh well, if they can't handle it, then too bad. Though I really did miss a couple of friends of mine." Leah smiled.
"Really?" Sam asked.
"Yeah, she was pissed that I left for Boston and went to college there. You never would have guessed that we were friends though. We were at each other's throats constantly and literally in some senses."Leah chuckled as she recalled the time her and Rosilee took a fight to the outside of the Cullen house. Let's just say she hoped that there was still a crater there.
"But then I got homesick and decided to come back." She said as she put her hair up in a ponytail.
"It must be nice to come back home. You have friends, family, you said yourself that you missed them." Sam said.
Dean looked up just in time to see Leah grimacing.
"I said that I missed somethings about this place. I never said I missed my family that much. Too be honest, I'm not to thrilled to see my cousin again." Leah frowned.
"It's not that bad...is it?" Sam asked.
Dean walked up to Leah, in the past three days, the woman what he wanted to have a lay with, became a friend. She was still hot though.
"It's complicated." She said as she tossed the last of her stuff into her car.
"Anyways, maybe I'll see you guys around." She said as she leaned against her car.
"Let's hope so." Dean smiled. She shrugged her shoulders.
"Maybe. See ya boys. Don't get into trouble." She said as she got into her car and started it.
"No promises." Dean said back to her.
She shook her head smiling and drove off. Dean couldn't keep a smile of his face.
"I hope we'll see her around." Dean said as he walked over to his impala.
"Dean, we've known her for three days. She'll just disappear like the rest of them." Sam said as he walked back to the motel room.
Dean had a feeling he would be seeing her again. He's usually right about these feelings.
Leah was nervous. In fact, she was so nervous, she was tempted to just shift into a wolf to shake off the nerves. She hadn't seen Jake's Pack or Seth or the Cullen Family for 8 years. She parked her car a little off ways from the house. She wanted to surprise them at least. She patted the hood of her car and walked. She was lucky to be wearing clothing that hid various weapons on them. Her hunting knife was hidden in her boots, various dagger were hidden on her person varying from silver, to gold, to iron, she really liked her daggers. Her necklace was a demon ward. She managed to get it special in the depths of Louisiana. the charm was a pentagon with sun waves radiating from it. She was thinking about getting a tattoo of it, but realized that demons can't take control of her body. Due to the fact that she already has 'another' within herself. Her wolf self. So she was safe from all external and internal possession.
As she turned into a curve of a driveway, she saw the Cullen house. It was still as tall and pristine as it was before she left. She shifted her bag (which carried her magnum .45, a crowbar, her wallet, and lipgloss.) and went up the steps. She smirked to herself. Since she started hunting, she had learned to put mind blocks in her mind. She had came across a couple telepaths down south. They helped her out with that little problem. She knocked on the door three times. She'd bet ten to one that no one expected her to be here. She faintly heard footsteps coming to the door. It opened up and there was the marble skinned blond-haired golden eyed bombshell that was Rosilee.
"'Sup, Bitch." Leah smirked.
Leah thought for a moment that Rosilee's eyes widened for a millisecond, then the door opened wide.
"Bitch, think you can come back just like that?" Rosilee said her perfect face marring into a frown.
If Leah didn't know any better, she would imagine Rosille to be crying at this moment. Leah looked over looked her clothing. Brand jeans, cute flip flops, and a red halter top. Her hands were bunched into fists.
"You never called. You never wrote. I honestly thought..." Rosilee said as she looked down.
Leah chuckled bitterly.
"Well, I wanted a life of normalcy, but things just keep sucking me back in. Now, are you going to let me in, or do you want to leave me out here like the dog I am." Leah asked.
Rosilee did something unexpected. She hugged Leah. Leah stiffened up before raising her arms and hugged back uncertainly, feeling the coldness of her marble skin.
"Never leave this place again. I keep getting sick over your alpha's coddling of Nessie." Rosilee muttered low enough for Leah to hear. Leah laughed and Rosilee smiled and laughed with her.
"Come in, I'm sure that the family will be surprised. Seriously, We have Edward but when we heard the door knock, he couldn't sense anyone." Rosilee said as they walked through the house.
"Well, things happened along the way while I have been gone. I went to Boston for College. Got a couple of Degrees, worked as a director for a History Museum, had a boyfriend, and here I am." She said as she lifted her nose to smell.
The sick sweet smell of vamps penetrated the household. Surprisingly, she missed it. She could also pick up the scents of Jake and Seth. They were here too. Good.
Rosilee looked down at Leah and chuckled.
"This is going to be fun." Rosilee said as she opened the door to the living room.
Suddenly Leah felt all eyes on her. She took it in stride and smiled brightly.
"Miss me?" She said brightly.
"Leah?" She heard her younger brother say softly.
Leah turned to looked at him. He was taller than her now. He toned out nicely and his hair was slightly shaggy.
"Wow, Seth, you bulked up." She said as she placed her hands on her hips.
Every one exploded into questioning. Seth ran up to her and hugged the ever living daylights out of her. The sounds of everyone's voices was overwhelming her. And it was hurting her. She felt like she was drowning in questions and her private space was invaded.
"Shit! Not good!" Her mind was screaming at her to shift NOW.
"Back off!" She roared.
Literally roared and she bared her teeth. She was hoping that no one would invade her space when she got back, but apparently she was wrong. Everyone backed away except Edward, Rosilee, Jake and Seth.
"Hell, what happened to MANNERS? Seriously!" She growled.
"I come back for once and suddenly I'm mobbed? One at a time, damn it!" She said as the hairs on the back of her head raised.
She was shaking to control herself. This never happened when she was away. She never felt the need to shift unless she felt like her life is being threatened. It must be the fact that she returned to her so called 'Pack'. That would explain it. She took deep breaths and squeezed her fists in a one two pattern.
"Okay. Now I'm open to questions. One. At. A. Time." She said annoyed.
She answered every question that pertained to her. Although she kept her hunter status out of it. She wasn't about to let anyone know about her other life just yet. Seth was ecstatic that she came back. Jake was a bit weary of her, possibly due to the fact that his imprint Renessme, whom had grown into a pretty pre-teen teeny-bopper, was close, but secretly he was glad that Leah was back. Renessme seemed happy that Leah was here, Bella was by Edward and both of them were giving glance to each other, silently questioning about her, Carlisle and Esme were happy that she returned, Emmett was glad that his wife's best friend came back, Jasper was neutral or annoyed, either way, and Alice was by Leah's side asking about what happened to her sense of fashion, and why her hair has split ends. Some things never change.
"Leah, Why didn't you call?" Seth asked the question on everyone's minds.
Leah leaned back into the couch, taking a sip of water that was given to her by Esme and pursed her lips.
"Well...I wanted nothing to do with you guys, honestly. I was sick of being around you." She said truthfully.
Right to the point and blunt to a fault.
"Look, nothing was for me here. Yeah, sure, I can get a job as a salesperson at a store, but that's about it. But like hell that's going to be a life for me." She said as she took another drink of water.
"So I went to College. Got a Ph.d in Writing, English, and History. I even got an Associates Degree in Medical. Made bucco bucks as a Directer at a museum, and then did various small jobs at hospitals over the country. I felt homesick so I figured I'd visit." She said as she sat up on the couch.
She lied through her teeth. But she was collected about it. Since hunting, she quickly picked up on lying really well.
Leaving at that, she got up and went outside to the patio. She had expected a lot of questions from them. It just didn't surprise her that most of the questions were aimed at the 'Why did you leave?' questions. Her heightened hearing picked up the 'almost' silent footsteps. From the corner of her eye, she saw the bronze haired Edward Cullen. She smirked. No doubt he would ask her why he's not reading her mind. Her eyes directed themselves to the setting sun and she spoke.
"I bet you are wondering why you can't read my mind." She said as she crossed her arms.
"Truthfully, I enjoy that fact that you can't read it. I like keeping my secrets to myself." She smiled cruelly.
"What happened while you were gone?" He asked.
"You mean 'What did you do to stop me from me reading your mind?' Simple." She thought.
"I ran into a few telepaths down south. They help me out with putting mental blocks in my mind, I helped protect them from the vampires that wanted them dead." She said smoothly.
Technically that was a lie. She did protect Telepaths from something. There were demons that wanted to posses a couple of Telepaths so that they might be able to find some sort of artifact. She stopped them in their tracks. In return, they taught her how to black other telepaths out of her mind as well if anyone goes into her mind without permission, in other words, a 'pack' mind, she can kick the boys out with no problem. She can't wait for the time when that comes.
"You shifted outside the territory?" He said raising an eyebrow.
Leah scoffed at his nativity. You would thing a century old vampire like him would know this.
She wasn't conforming to the 'no shifting' rule. She hasn't followed that rule for years now.
"Yeah. And? I've traveled a lot over the years. Written books. Helped people, with or without my wolf." She said as she sighed.
"Look, I've already answered your questions. You can leave me alone. I just remembered why I don't like hanging around you leeches." She said in her typical 'Leah' fashion.
Edward would have said something if it wasn't for the fact that Seth came out and wanted to talk with her. Edward gave her a look of 'We'll talk later.'
"Not likely."
She was not going to answer to his prying ways. Just because they are on the same side, so to speak, it didn't mean that she would get along with him. He left the two siblings alone. Seth stood next to his sister watching the sun set. After a bout of silence, he spoke.
"You know...mom kept waiting for you to call." He said as he sighed.
Leah kept staring out into the horizon.
"She was really worried about you. She was worried that you are still holding onto Sam and..."
That snapped her head to him and she growled.
"Seriously?" She interrupted him.
Seth went silent as she growled at him.
"Holding onto...what the hell Seth?" She said disgusted that the fact that he even brought up Sam in the first place.
"Well are you?" He asked.
She rolled her eyes at him.
"I had a boyfriend back in Boston. He was killed in the field." She said lying smoothly.
Seth's eyes lit up.
"So...you are over him, then?" He asked not questing about the 'boyfriend' she had.
She punched him int he shoulder.
"Seth. I honestly don't give a damn about Sam and Emily anymore. I'm insulted at the fact that you would even bring that up." She said lowly.
She really was over Sam. She was content in her life that she is fine. Especially since she had moved on from him. She needed to get her mind off of Drake.
"So...any kids yet for them?" She smiled.
In all honestly, She was looking forward to being called 'Auntie Leah' by Emily's kid. She was excited. But from the look on Seth's face...something was wrong.
"There are some kids. But those are the local kids that hang out with the pack. Sam and Emily...They..." He was having a hard time talking about it.
"They keep having miscarriages." Seth said finally.
Leah stood stone still.
"What?" She said with her mouth open.
"Miscarriages? How and why?" She thought.
"How? How is she having miscarriages?"She asked.
Seth shook his head.
"We don't know. The first one, It wasn't long after you left, about a month, when they announced that they were pregnant. It was barely the second trimester when..." Seth couldn't speak.
"It happened while Sam and some of the packmates were patrolling. It was supposedly a baby boy." He said as he balled his hands into fists.
"They have tried 6 times since then. One miscarriage after another." He said as he suddenly relaxed.
"Have they tried natural remedies? Any precautions?" She asked.
"They did everything. But they..." He couldn't continue.
Leah felt her heart sink. Emily not having any children? It was blasphemous. She remembered before Sam imprinted on her, she would talk about having 5 kids to take care of. Emily was a teacher, and naturally, she loved them.
But for her not having children of her own...Leah had to steel herself from shifting and going to her. Emily was her best friend and cousin. She did NOT want to wish any harm on her.
"I'm sorry." She said as she mulled over the situation.
She wanted to change the subject.
"So, have you imprinted yet?" She asked her little brother.
He gave her a sheepish smile and chuckled.
"No. Not yet. Personally, I'm rather glad that I haven't. I don't want to get all mushy like Jake and Nessie." He said as he stuck out his tongue.
She laughed.
"Well, that means we get to hang out right?" She smiled at her brother.
Seth grinned at her. He really liked this 'new' Leah. She was still bitchy, but she wasn't pining after Sam anymore.
"Yeah. So...when are you coming home?" He asked her.
"Probably not anytime soon. I'll stick around the leeches for a little while. Maybe then I'll got back to La Push." She mused.
Seth smiled at her.
"You know...Emily really missed you. So did Embry, Quil, and Claire. They missed you alot. The others...not so much." He said.
"Huh. Well I might visit them." She said thinking on Claire.
She would be ten right now.
"I guess they will have a surprise when I show up then." She smiled.
"Yeah. Yeah, they would. So tell me about your time over in Boston. What'd you do over there?" He asked.
She then told him into the night about her life in Boston. Leaving out her Hunter status. She was glad to be with her annoying brother again with his constant questions. She really missed her brother alot. She had a lot of catching up to do.
"So... back in the 1800s, these vampires, the 'cold ones' came to Forks. Made some sort of pact with the 'Shifters' who change into wolves...God, this is messed up." Dean said as he made his head fall onto the motel table.
"Yeah, well we are getting closer to the slashed up Ghosts. Maybe these ghost were victims of the two parties." Sam said as he drank his jasmine tea.
"Yeah I get that, what I don't get is the 'different' types of Vamps that we are hunting. I didn't even realize that there are 'types'. That's screwed up right there. And I though regular vampires and shifters are a pain in the ass." Dean said as he got up and decided to turn in for the night.
They were planning on going hiking into the mountains tomorrow. To see what they can find.
"You are right about it being a pain in the ass. Turns out the these 'Cold Ones' have skin of marble and can only be killed by the teeth of a shifter or by another 'Cold Ones' hands. Think you want to bring Cas into this? Because from what this seems, we've never even heard about a 'Cold One' before this." Sam asked.
"Later. we know that if we get into trouble, Cas will save our asses. No problem." He said as he threw an arm over his eyes. It was time for bed. He was tired.
Sam sighed at his brother's antics. Then again, he stretched out and yawned as well. He was getting tired as well. Things were weird around Forks and La Push. 'Cold Ones' and 'Wolf Shifters' and truces were starting to grate on his nerves. He needed his rest. He'll get some more information later. It was bedtime and he didn't want to miss out of the trail hikes tomorrow.
Meanwhile, while the brothers and werewolf were occupied by sleep and dreams, a hiker in the Forks trials was walking along before he even realized that he was being hunted. After his light suddenly flickered, he turned to find something in the distance closing in on him. His scream echoed through out the forest as a shadow with white eyes hacked and slashed him to bits. After the deed was done, the shadow grinned in the darkness, it's red stained white teeth gleamed in the moonlight and it's glazed white eyes looked up into the night sky.
"More blood, more sacrifice, More, MORE, MORE!"
It roared into the darkness before suddenly flickering out of existence. As it it was never there. The only evidence was the poor hiker's body. His eyes glazed over, and blood pooling into the ground.
His body wasn't found until the next morning.
TAL21: There! There's your third chapter. Expect sporadic update unless you are nice enough to leave at least 7 detailed reviews and maybe i'll feel generous and write more and longer chapters. So Now that Leah and Sam and Dean are acquainted, yea! And Yeah if you haven't noticed, I bashed a little bit on Edward and Bella. I used to worship that paring until i realized that it wasn't' the paring that i was hoping for…plus, i was looking for something a little more real. Leah Clearwater is the realistic character in Twilight as you can get. She did not deserve the abuse she has gotten in the books. Hello! Sam was clearly about to propose to her, until Emily walked in, and Sam just up and left her. Quite frankly, Its all Sam's fault. I did read a story outside of fan fiction about Imprinting in the Twilight universe and it had a LOT of points. Sam could have just broken the imprint right then and there seeing that his high-school sweetheart was RIGHT THERE and on the cusp of asking her to marry him, and then dump her for Emily. (Yes, i'm bashing Sam, he deserves it, the little shit.)
Anyways, So who was that entity at the end of this chapter? And poor hiker, he should have learned not to walk the forest alone. Now that the Cullen's are out of the way, What about Jake and his soon to be interaction with Leah? Also, things are going to get interesting when Leah goes back to La Push. Trust me, fur really is going to fly in the next few chapters (if i get around to it) and Unfortunately for the more seasoned wolves of the original pack, they are seriously going to get their butts kicked by Leah. It won't be pretty, but the will be more questions that will arise. It's going to be big. :D Now…ONWARD TO SHOUT OUTS!:
BionicVampireDragonGaurdian1: Nope. Sorry to disappoint you, but no. But Good guess though! Don't worry, eventually it may or may not happen in this story, we'll just have to wait and see. :)
TAL21: And that's it for shout outs!. Seriously, no one has questions or good ideas? Oh well, maybe I'll get more in the next chapter. XD So, now that we all got that settled: PLEASE LEAVE DETAILED REVIEWS/OPINIONS! They really do help out with writer's blocks and ideas. Trust me, they work WONDERS! See you guys in the next chapter! :D
Question Time!: For those of you who are Leah Fans, Why is she your favorite character and what is your favorite quality of her? What would you like to see happen in this story?
KEEP ON READING AND WRITING! :D
