So happy that the show is coming back in 9 days! The promos look amazing!

This chapter is much shorter than the previous ones; it sets things for the next chapter which is going to be important!

"Wade" she whispered, sticking her finger in his back.

"Hmm .." He mumbled

"I can't sleep"

Wade turned and laid with his face to her, "Are you okay?"

"I'm not comfortable. This baby has something against letting me breathe these days."

"Sorry ... Is there anything I can do?"

"No, just stay that way and don't move" She came over and curled up to him.

"It's so close. Just a few weeks left, can you believe that?"

"I know. It went so fast. I can't wait to meet her"

She could hear the joy in his voice and smiled.

"But isn't it supposed to be really painful? I don't want you to suffer"

"I am a doctor, I have seen many births. I know what it is, believe me. I'm tough, I can do it," she said firmly.

"Okay. Whatever you decide, Doc," he kissed her forehead.

He opened his eyes and there was light in the room. He saw her sitting next to him in bed with her pink notebook, very concentrated.

"What time is it?" He mumbled

"Almost 7"

"were you able to go back to sleep?"

"Not really. But don't worry, I found something to do. I started thinking about names"

"Really?" He moved to sit next to her.

"I was thinking about something a little different"

"Okay. Different is good I guess ..." he said nervously

"Good. I want to call her Cinderella"

"Ha ha. Funny. Which names did you think of?"

"Wade, I'm serious" She stared at him

Not a chance! Maybe in New York this could work, but here - absolutely not. They would beat her in kindergarten!
"If Lemon survived Bluebell's education system, Cinderella will survive!"

"No!" He said confidently. Zoe's eyes filled with tears and she sniffed.

He's face fall at the sight of his crying wife. He sighed and rubbed his face

"Fine! I'll consider it" He knew that she suffered from a bad case of mood swings and after going through a sleepless night, he preferred not to argue.

Their home renovations continued at full speed. Wade made sure that they would leave him the baby's room; he wanted to do it himself. Of course, Zoe didn't know about it. He would not let her near the house on the pretext that it is dangerous to walk there during the renovations. They moved to the gate house until their house is finished.

In the morning they went for breakfast at Lavon. Annabeth was there too.

"Please tell me you guys will continue to come for breakfast when your house is ready"

"I don't know, man. You will have to offer something very tempting to make this happen ..." Wade said and Zoe hit him in the arm.

"He's joking Lavon. Obviously we will continue to come. I won't let my daughter miss the breakfast-at-Lavon experience"

"That, and, if we don't come we will probably starve to death. Someone here has promised to teach her to cook ..." Wade pointed to Annabeth. Zoe hit him again. "No food for you" She took his plate.

"Hey, if you want me to keep doing what I do every night, you should let me eat. I need power"

"No, no, no. Moving subject, immediately!" Everyone laughed except Zoe who changed colors.

"So ... Big Z Your birthday is this weekend" Lavon said cautiously, afraid of her reaction. Wade tried to stop him. Zoe gave them a glare.

"Nope, you can go and cancel every plan you made. You know how I feel about my birthday."

"And what if it's a birthday party and baby shower combined?" Annabeth broke in excitedly. "Please, please Zoe. Let us plan your party for the baby!" Annabeth knew exactly what she was doing. Everything about the baby raised a huge smile on Zoe's face and Annabeth knew that Zoe couldn't refuse.

"Well, all right." She said with a big smile on her face. Annabeth squealed. "I have to go to work now, I'll see you later" She kissed Wade and said goodbye to the others

"AB, you're genius." Wade kissed her head. "If you need help, anything let me know"

"Trust me and Lemon, Wade. Everything is going to be perfect."

While Zoe was at work, Wade added final touches to the baby's room. After that he went to the Rammer Jammer. It was his turn to close the bar.

At night when he returned Zoe was already in bed, asleep. They didn't manage to talk to each other all day.

He went quietly into the shower quickly and when he got out he went to bed and put his hand over her waist. He could hear her breathing and knew she wasn't really sleeping. He stroked her side with his finger, "How was your day?" He asked her in a whisper, and she sighed.

"Everything alright?" He asked a little anxiously. She didn't answer. He heard her sigh deeply.

"Babe, what is it?" He raised himself to see her face. She started to move slowly to sit on the bed. He followed. It was then where he realized that her eyes were red from crying. Worry and concern covered his face.

"Doc, what happened? Do you feel good? Why are you crying?"

A single tear made its way down her cheek

"Zoe, please talk to me. What happened?" He raised his hand and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear

"I don't know how I'm going to do it"

"Do what?" He was confused.

"What if I'm a horrible mother? What if she'd hate me?" She whispered and looked down.

He looked at her in surprise. He processed what she said in his head for a few seconds then approached her and lifted her chin up to meet his gaze. They looked at each other for a few moments without saying a word.

"Come." He held her hand and pulled her out of bed "find something to wear and put your shoes on"

"Wait, what? What are you doing?" She didn't understand what's going on

"Doc, get dressed quickly, I want to show you something"

"Now? In the middle of the night?" She wiped her tears and looked for something to wear.

"Here, take" He handed her one of his shirts. "That will do. Just put on some shoes, fast"

He held her hand and pulled her toward the door

"Wait, what about you? You're going to go out like that?" She asked as she looked at his shirtless body.

"Don't worry, we're not going far," he smiled at her.

They left the house quickly and she tried to keep up with him. They stood in front of the carriage house, "Wade, what are you doing? They didn't finish renovating! You said it's dangerous there now"

"Trust me, Doc," he led her up the front steps of the house, "You're crazy," she murmured

"A little. Come in," They entered together and she looked in shock. Everything was ready.

"You said that will take them another two weeks, three at least" She looked around and her eyes sparkled

"Maybe I lied a little ..." He smiled. She smiled back,

"Okay, but I don't understand why ... You know I was really nervous about it."

"Come on" He took her hand again and led her up the stairs to the top floor

"That's why" He opened the second door from the right and let her in alone.

She was speechless. He let her absorb everything and followed her in.

"How did you know?" She gasped. He chuckled.

Zoe has always been a person who planned everything in advance. She put much thought in planning the baby's room. She knew exactly how she wanted it to look. She wrote everything in her pink notebook, she wouldn't stop talking about it with Annabeth and Rose and her Pinterest account gave everything she loves.

He sat on the chair that was in the corner and pulled her to him, to sit on his lap.

"The truth is that it was pretty easy. Thanks to you. Do you like it?"

"You're kidding, right? That's all I dreamed of. It's the most beautiful nursery I've ever seen"

The only thing that was different from her plans was the baby's crib. He noticed that she was staring at it. His heart was beating so fast.

"I hope you don't mind ... I wanted to build it myself."

She kissed him softly. "It's perfect. Thank you," she whispered into the kiss.

She rested her head on his shoulder and snuggled into him.

"I was planning to show you this room on the weekend. You know, for your birthday. "She lifted her head and looked at him." But I felt that now was the right moment to show you, "he said seriously.

She looked away and he quickly put his hand on her cheek and made her look at him.

"Zoe, you're going to be an amazing mom"

"You don't know that" she whispered, looking into his eyes

"I do know. Because you're amazing yourself. Our girl could never hate you. It's not possible. And you're not alone in this. We will make mistakes along the way, but we're in this together so we can do anything"

She exhaled a breath she did not know she was holding. She leaned and a let herself sink into his arms.

"I couldn't have done it without you," she whispered into his neck

"Of course not. As a doctor I would expect you to know how babies come to the world ..." she giggled. "I wouldn't want to do this with anyone other than you," he kissed her hair.

"Good." She said and yawned.

"Good." He smiled. "I think it's time to go back. You have to sleep"

"Okay." She said and stood up. He followed but before they left the room she pulled him and kissed him passionately. They stopped the kiss just as the lack of air began to be a problem.

"I love you" she whispered and pressed her head to his chest.

"I love you too"
