Chapter 52:
Captured 1

Mario, Peach, and Daisy were in the garden enjoying their little tea gathering. Toadsworth had left a short time ago, stating he had some things to do before he could join them. Without Luigi, the original purpose of the get-together could no longer take place. But even so they still manage to take pleasure in each other's company.

"So, Daisy," Peach started. "I haven't heard from you for a while. Is everything's okay?"

Daisy shrugged. "Everything's fine; I've been busy with meetings and some other boring stuff but besides that, things have been great."

"That's good to hear." said Mario "But I think what Peach meant is everything okay between you and Luigi?"

"Oh,"

She cast her head down to the table. Peach place a comforting hand on hers, "So how are you feeling?"

"I...could have been better." She mumbled. "It's hard through, knowing there's nothing I can do to fix things between us."

"Oh Daisy, you can still fix things." Peach encouraged. "Granted it won't bring back the relationship you wanted, but you can always bring back the relationship you had before that one."

Daisy sighed. "I guess you're right. It won't be easy, but the least I can do is tried to be a good friend towards him and his girlfriend."

"I think I speak for my Bro when I say he'll be glad to hear that" Mario smiled.

Daisy smiled back to him. But before the three could continue with their little gathering, the castle shook from a sudden loud explosion. Mario immediately shot up from his seat as well as the princesses next to him. At the sound of screaming, they quickly ran back inside.

Indoors, the whole castle was in chaos. Toads were running and screaming in terror as they search for a safe place to hide. Amongst the disorder, the Koopa King, his Koopalings, and some minions stood in the center of it all, destroying everything in their path in search for the Mushroom Princess.

"Bowser!"

The large koopa turned and smirked at the sight of his prize. "Ah, there you are princess. I was starting to think I'll have to tear down this whole castle just to find you."

Mario steps up and took a fighting position while the two princesses stay behind him. "How many times do we have go through this, Bowser? The princess is not interested,"

"Oh yeah, like you would know," Bowser sneered.

"I do know," Mario smirked. "Because for one thing, she's dating me,"

Bowser growled. "She may be your girlfriend now, but she will be my wife in the end. Thanks to this,"

A few goombas came along and hands Bowser a strange device. The Koopa King took it and held in both hands. Mario narrowed his eyes at the sight of that weird machine.

"What is that?"

"This," The Koopa answered. "...is what's gonna put an end to your jumping career."

Mario puffed. He wasn't afraid of Bowser's new toy. He could take anything the koopa king throws at him.

"On yeah, I'll like to see you try, lizard breath."

Bowser smirked. "If you insist,"

He held up the device and points it at his red target. Mario simply stood his ground, ready to take on the koopa and his device. Bending his knees, he took a powerful jump in the air. Bowser repositioned his machine and aim for the plumber. Once he was close enough, he pulls the trigger causing a multiple color wave to appear.

Mario gasped in surprise as he was suddenly suspended in midair. He kicked and flailed, trying to get some momentum but failing miserably. Peach and Daisy watch in shock as the red hero simply floated around in the air as if he was flying.

"Bowser!" Mario yelled as he spins slowly. "What's going on?"

"Ha, ha, ha, how do you like my new Anti-gravity ray, Plumber?" said Kamek, who was flying on his broom. "It reverses the force of gravity so you and your jumps are basically useless."

"Put me down," Mario growled.

"Don't think so, Pipehead," Bowser laughs. "Now, that you're as helpless as a floating balloon, Princess Peach is mine for the taking... with the flower princess as an added bonus."

Peach and Daisy took a step back as Bowser's Koopalings approach them. They try to fight against them but in the end, there was just too strong for them. It was, after all, six against two. And even if the female koopaling was missing, Roy and Morton alone could have handled the princesses themselves.

The Koopalings carried them off to the airship. As they do so, the princesses called out Mario's name, pleading for him to help them. But all the hero could do was just float there.

"Bowser, let them go and face me like a man." Mario yelled, almost flying through an opening in the ceiling.

"I'll be careful if I were you Mustache," advised Kamek. "We won't want you to flying into the opening and out to space now, would you?"

"King Dad, Mama Peach and her friend are ready to come back home with us," inform Bowser Junior.

"Excellent," His father turned back on Mario. "Now for our last prisoner,"

He held up the Anti-gravity ray again and points it on the floating plumber. He reversed its functions and pulled the trigger, causing another multicolor wave to appear. Mario definitely felt a familiar invisible force beat down on him as he went falling to the ground face first.

He groans and rubbed his head to soothe away the pain. But before he could recover, Bowser's minions grabbed him and tied him up with some rope. He struggled to free himself but it was no use. He growled as the Koopa King tower over him with his evil laugh.

"Looks like all those failed attempts are finally playing off, uh plumber?" he mocked.

Mario didn't say anything as he glared at the large Koopa. Bowser had his minions carry the man in red as he return back on his air ship. Once everyone was on broad the ship, they soon took to the air and headed back to Bowser's Castle.

Kastoadra was walking through Toad Town slowly, her head cast down since she had left the clinic. Usually when you leave the doctor's place you're supposed to feel better. But for Kassie, it was the opposite; she felt worse than when she came in. In fact, she actually threw up after Doctor Toadley informed her of his diagnoses.

She sighed heavily, feeling both tired and scared at the same time. She didn't know what to think or what to do right now. All she did know is that she should take it easy and relax, like the doctor prescribed.

'Rest,' She thought 'that's what I need right now. First, I'll sleep then I can deal with everything else.'

Unfortunately for her, sleep wouldn't be coming anytime soon. Shortly after reaching the castle, she saw the large royal building was up in smoke. Not too far away, she could see a familiar airship flying off into the distance. She cursed, knowing full well who was responsible for this.

"That Koopa just doesn't know when to quit, does he?" She mumbled.

She quickly ran inside. When she got there, she saw everyone was emerging from their hiding spots and started panicking over what just occur.

"Is everyone okay?" She asked.

"Everyone's fine; no one was seriously hurt." Toadbert replies to her question.

"So, what happened? Did Bowser capture the princess again?"

"Yes, but that's not all." Toadbert said, his voice turning grim. "Not only has Princess Peach been taken but Bowser also managed to capture Princess Daisy and Mario as well."

Kassie eyes widen in shook. "What?! Mario's been captured!"

"I'm afraid so, my dear," Toadsworth intervene, dread written all over his face. "Without Master Mario, our kingdom is left defenseless."

"We're all doom!" scream a yellow Toad. "Without Mario, Bowser can easily take over. He'll kill us all for sure!"

"Well, what about Luigi?" Kassie interrupted before everyone can assume the worse. "He was safe from the attack; I'm sure he could save Mario and Princesses."

Toadsworth brighten. "Yes, of course! Master Luigi will surely help us."

"But does anyone know where he is?" Toadiko asked.

"I know where he is." Kassie said. "And I can look for him now too."

"Hold on Kastoadra, you're still sick remember?" said Toad.

"I agree, we'll send someone else to look for Luigi,"

Kassie shook her head. "Nope, only I can get him. Don't worry; I'll be back very soon."

Before anyone can protest, Kassie quickly turn and left, leaving everyone else to worry about her. As soon as she got out of town, she started heading straight for the tree she knew Luigi and Wendy usually met at, unaware of the danger that lie ahead of her.

Both the Sledge Bro and the Chomp Bro fell to the ground after fighting against the green hero and lost. Kalvin watch in shock, finding it hard to believe his two strongest men have been defended so easily. Luigi landed just a few yards away from where they lay and turn to Kalvin.

"Kalvin, stop this before someone else get hurt,"

"Someone's going to get hurt alright," He growled. "And that someone is going to be you."

Now it was Kalvin's turn to go against him. He came at the green plumber with talons drawn and teeth bared. Luigi quickly dodge his first attack by stepping aside. The koopa turned and try to attack him again, only to have the green plumber jump on top of his head. He hissed at the pain and turn to Luigi with a snarl. He attacked the hero once more and got the same result, causing him to stumble down on one knee. Luigi frowned and try to reason with him again.

"Stop this Kalvin, fighting is not going accomplish anything."

Kalvin shook his head and glared at him. "Oh, I beg to differ; fighting will get me what I want." He got back on his feet. "And I'm not going to stop until the princess is rightfully mine."

Luigi frowned when he said that. This koopa really wasn't going to give up without a fight. Without warning, Kalvin lunged at him, talons ready. Luigi dodge his first attack and barely the second that came soon after. He made some distance before jumping onto Kalvin's head for the final time. Kalvin sway back and forth from dizziness and fell backwards altogether, defeated.

With Kalvin down for the count, Luigi can turn his attention back on the cat fight next to him. So far, Wendy and Pompey seemed evenly match. They both were scoring some bruises on their bodies so it shows that they mean business.

Suddenly, Pompey performs a hand gesture and disappears into a black smoke, which splits and spread around the area. When she reappears from the split smoke, she had Wendy surround by a large horde of clones. Each clone tosses a large shuriken that Wendy had to dodge.

She avoided all of them except for the one the real Pompey threw in late, as she had planned it. The shuriken cut her in the arm. Wendy hiss in pain and held onto her bleeding limb.

At the sight of his girlfriend injured, Luigi quickly ran over to aid her. He jumped on the real Pompey's head which stun her and cause her clones to disappear. While the Pom Pom was dazed and confused, Luigi went over to check on Wendy.

"Are you okay?" He asked worriedly.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Wendy groaned as she held onto her arm.

Luigi grew concern at the sight of blood before him. His medical training started kicking in as he tries to attend to her injures.

"Here, let me have a look."

Wendy looked up from her wound and nodded. Her eyes suddenly widen as she let out an alarmed gasp,

"Luigi, look out!"

All Luigi had time to do was turn before he was suddenly hit by something hard and solid. He flew backwards and hit the ground roughly. He moaned as the immense pain starts to overwhelm him. All he could heard was Wendy screaming before he drifted off into a sea of darkness.

Ending Note for Today:

Sorry, if Bowser's new device isn't that creative or new, but it's the only thing I can think of.

Personal question, have you notice that a story always gains a lot of attention/reviews when a main character gets hurt and/or captured? I surely have.

This is a two-part special.
