Chapter XVII
Unbearable; the Start
Nico screamed into his pillow. It hurt. It hurt so much. Everywhere.
"We think the withdrawal symptoms have been put off since we had him ambrosia for his healing, which is why it would be starting to affect him now."
Nothing made sense. The voice was dulled and alien and at the same time too loud and scary. Nico curled into his body and shook.
Stop. Please, please stop.
Just let it go.
No!
Nico's whole body shook as he cried. His throat was raw. Nico swore in all the pain he could taste blood. Nico's hands tore at the blankets. They were too rough. Too soft. Too hot. Too cold.
"Can't you just put him under?"
"We don't know how stable he is right now. We could kill him."
"Please, please, please, please." Nico prayed as he sat up and covered his eyes as it hit his eyes. Nico fell forwards into his pillow. He kicked his legs, relieving himself from the pain in short bursts.
Nico then fell still. Small, warm hands on his back paralyzed him.
No. Not her.
Ha. The fates hate you.
"Kill me." Nico sobbed into his pillow.
His pillow grew wet as pain ripped through his body like his blades would. The hands continued to rub his back, over the rough skin on his arms and back up. Never leaving skin, never leaving him.
Just a really quick chapter after a TV show made me bawl my eyes out.
Again, review are always welcome.
