Chapter 56:
The Offer
...
Princess Peach sighed tiredly as she continues to stare out the only bar window that in her room. She was far from the location of the throne room and was in the highest tower of the castle. The sky was covered by the constant dark clouds and the molten hot lava light up the ground down below. Although she did worry greatly for the safety of Mario and the others, her thoughts were currently on his younger brother and his surprising relationship with the Koopa princess.
'So it was Luigi who actually saved me?' She thought to herself.
Now she knew why the green koopa reminded her so much of the green plumber. It was because they were one and the same. The only differences between the two were their appearances.
It was a complete and utter shock to find out that Lady Fettuccine Alfredo was actually Wendy O. Koopa. And it was almost unbelievable to hear that Luigi was in on it the entire time. It hurts her heart when one of her closest friends lies to her.
'But maybe, it wasn't all his fault' She tired to reason with herself. 'Maybe he has a reason to lie to us,'
Out of all the Koopalings, Wendy was the most deceiving one. It's possible she could have tricked Luigi into dating her to use him for her own personal gain. After all, the green plumber has been greatly upset from his many break-ups from Daisy. His weaken mental and emotional state would be easy prey for someone like her.
But as sensible as that theory maybe, it won't explain why she was in a cage as well. If she was just using Luigi, wouldn't Bowser be aware of her actions? He often praised his children to behavior as such. But he was just as surprise as the rest of them and was greatly upset to find out what his daughter had been up to.
Peach sighed again and turned her attention back on the window. This whole situation was confusing to her. The only ones who can clarify it clearly were Luigi and Wendy themselves. But judging how furious Bowser was in the throne room, she feared that the green hero may not live long enough to share his side of the story.
'Mario, Luigi, Daisy...please be alright. And you too Kastoadra.'

Kamek's eyes were narrowed behind his glasses, silently fuming to himself as he watched the Koopatrols carry – well, more like drag – the green plumber back towards the throne room. The plumber turned koopa didn't put up much of a fight due to his injuries, but that didn't stop the magikoopa from throwing heated daggers at him.
Besides anger towards the plumber, Kamek also felt guilty towards himself. He knew something was odd with that Kasanova Koopa but he failed to look into it. If he had, this whole situation could have been avoided and Wendy wouldn't have fallen in love with him.
'Love...' He thought bitterly. 'An emotion that drives the youth to foolishness, and the King is no exception.'
Although he scowled Wendy earlier for speaking such a manner to her father, there was still some truth in her words. The king won't admit it, but the Mushroom Princess did reminded him (and everyone else who was there at the time) a lot of a certain someone who he once held dear. Everyone, especially the king, was greatly upset when they had lost that certain someone when Junior was still just an egg. Since that tragedy, no one was allowed to mention it, much less talk about it. The only reminders left of her was Junior and the dream of having a large family, hence the existence of the Koopalings.
When they got to the throne room, everyone was there. The Koopalings, Junior, Sir Kalvin, and the Pom Pom, Pompey, were all present to watch what Bowser had in store for the green clad man. Wendy had been transformed back to her original form and was now in an intense glaring contest with the blacked hair Pom Pom. Upon hearing their arrival, she quickly turned her attention on them, or rather on the plumber. Once she saw her beloved mate, she immediately beamed. However, her joy soon fade away when she remember how hurt he was at the moment.
"Luigi..."
She took a step towards him but was quickly blocked by Kalvin. She frowned; sadden that she couldn't be by his side. When she heard chuckling, she sends Pompey a heated glare. The laughing ceased but the grin on her face was still present.
As for Luigi, the green plumber let out a huge sigh of relief when he saw Wendy was unscathed. Although he knew was in a boat load of trouble right now, his primary concern was still on the pink koopa.
He did nothing to protect himself as the guards basically threw him to the floor with a painful grunt. He slowly picked himself up as the sound of large, heavy footsteps pound through his ears and cause his headache to become worse. With a heavy sigh, he looked up and locked his weary blue eyes with Bowser's angry red ones.
Oh yeah, he was in trouble...big time.
...
...
The throne room was full of tension as almost everyone there send heated glares at the plumber on the floor. Luigi stood before the Koopa King on his hands and knees. He was still in his koopa form but was too injured to fight against him. Bowser stood over him with a nasty snarl, secretly debating on how he was going to deal with him.
"So plumber," he started. "Have you heard the news? Wendy say she love ya."
Junior and the Koopalings scoffed with an expression of disbelief and disgust. Luigi blinked, surprise written all over his face. He glances over to Wendy who smiled at him sadly, confirming it was true. With his heart throbbing, he smiled back, please to finally hear the words he's been waiting for. He was so happy, he wanted to hug and kiss her with all his might. Unfortunately, he couldn't for he knew the koopas in the room would be on him if he even makes an attempt to do so.
"But as you already know, I can't allow you to be together." Bowser continues. "Mainly because I don't like plumbers...hate them, even."
Luigi frowned and cast his head down. It wasn't a big surprise Bowser would say that. But even though he expected that answer, it was still pretty painful to hear.
"However, I might reconsider...under one condition,"
Luigi's head shot up quickly, causing a dizzy spell to run through him. Everyone else turn to the king in shock. Bowser ignored their expression and continued to address the surprise plumber.
"I'll let you two resume dating if, and only if, you join my side."
"WHAT!"
Everyone, including Luigi, were stunned by the King's unsuspected offer. Almost immediately, the throne room exploded with their loud protests. Bowser growled, annoyed with the noises around him. Luigi, too, was bothered by it, mostly because of his terrible headache.
"Your majesty, you can't be serious," said Kamek, over all the commotion.
"I am serious so everyone...PIPE DOWN!"
After his loud exclaim, the whole room grew quiet. No one said a word, but the look on their faces was enough to see how displease they were about this. Unable to hold back his frustration, Kalvin spoke out.
"My lord, how can you ask such a feeble human to join our Klan? After everything he's done, he deserve punishment, not praise." He was greatly upset; after everything he had done, he was still losing the princess to this plumber.
"Because...that feeble human, as weak as he may be, can still prove useful to me" Bowser explained. "Like you say, he was deceiving everyone, including his no good twin brother. If he's mad at him now, then imagine what the rest of the kingdom will think of him. And I don't think those little mushroom caps will be too happy to hear their green hero have been associating with the royal Koopa Klan in secret." He smirked. "In fact, they might even consider him to be a traitor and an enemy as well. And with no place to call home, he'll have no other choice but to come crawling back here to me."
He crossed his arms. "Don't get me wrong, I despise both plumbers for ruining my plans, but at least this one didn't make a move on my princess. Sure he's weak now, but with the right influence..." He glances over to Wendy. "...he could be train and probably sway his loyalty onto this side. Of course, that won't happen until he willingly joined us."
He turned his attention back on the plumber. He once again locked his red eyes with the plumber's blue eyes. And without a moment's hesitant, he asked him the question.
"So what do you say, plumber? Are you in or not?"

Ending Note for Today:
My theory for Bowser's obsession over Peach... personality wise, she acts a lot like Clawdia.
Clawdia was a koopa everyone loved, not just Bowser. Her personality, gentle yet adventurous; it was so much like Peach that Bowser basically sees her in the Mushroom Princess. I'm thinking Bowser is suffering from a case of Transference, a phenomenon characterized by unconscious redirection of feelings from one person to another. Bowser doesn't seem like the kind of guy to seek therapy after his wife died (by illness or child birth, somewhere around that). But when he first met Peach and saw how similar she is to his wife, Clawdia, I'm guessing he must have mentally transferred his love for Clawdia towards Peach which makes him obsessive (and possibly possessive) over her only.
Of course, I could be completely wrong but this is just what I think.

I'll get the next chapter up as soon as I able about too.
