A/N: Oh dear god. I am so sorry I took as long as I did to update. Not okay me! Get it together! For the rest of this story, it's going to be primarily short snippets of their lives, with not much of an on going plot line. Feel free to imagine the things that happen in between the scenes I create. Heck, if you want to you can write your own fanfiction of mine if that's even remotely possible or logical, or exists. Mostly, this is going to be just Skye and Ward, so if you want a specific moment or something, tell me and I'll make it. Okay, here we go. Writing playlist on. Not to sound too clingy, but I love you, don't leave me!

It had been a few months since Ward had started training for reinstatement into the group, and Skye was helping with it, alongside Gwyneth. Skye and Ward hadn't officially declared themselves as "dating", as Skye was still a bit hesitant, and Coulson kept giving Ward the evil eye, not to mention Fitz as well. Ward was okay with it, saying that seeing and talking to Skye was good enough, dating or not.

Project R.E.H.A.B. was still active, but Ward had been moved to an actual room in the facility, conveniently located next to Skye's room, by Gwyneth's orders.

Skye and Ward had finished training for the day, and they were walking to their rooms for the night.

"All I'm saying," Skye started, walking beside Ward, "is that for someone who's not the director, Gwyneth seems pretty much in charge of everything."

Grant smiled . "Maybe that's a good thing though. Without her, I'd be sleeping miles away from you."

Skye hummed in agreement as they reached their rooms. They stopped in front of Skye's door, Ward stepping in front of her to look at her face.

"Besides," Ward said quietly, "if she wasn't here, in the grand scheme of all of this, I wouldn't be able to do this."

Ward softly grabbed her face, cupping her cheeks slightly, pulling her into him. Their lips met in a light kiss before Ward pulled away.

"Thank you Gwyneth." Skye joked after a second, looking up at the ceiling.

Ward let out a quiet chuckle before placing a light peck on her forehead. "Good night, Skye."

Skye smiled as he turned and went into his room. She sighed, deciding between going to bed or staying up a bit longer. She decided to stay up, and explore the area a bit more.

She walked around aimlessly, discovering empty nooks and crannies that no one seemed to know about. She got to a room with glass windows and roof, with a field landscape outside. Gwyneth was standing next to glass with her back turned, not seeing or hearing Skye.

Skye came up beside her and Gwyneth looked to her side, acknowledging Skye's presence.

"Couldn't sleep either, huh?" Gwyneth's voice was quiet, and rich with exhaustion.

"Yeah, kinda." Skye responded, looking at the field. "Isn't it kind of bad to have a room completely made of glass that's in a field?"

"Projection," Gwyneth answered, "the glass shows whatever landscape you want it to show."

"Oh."

They were quiet for a few seconds before Skye turned to Gwyneth. "Why do you trust Ward? I mean, after all he's done, and everything that's happened, why?"

Gwyneth gave a small grin. "Grant has done, or will do I guess, some really amazing things. Grant was always there for me growing up. I guess from all of this, he wanted to make sure I was always okay and safe. He was like a big brother. Really protective, trying to raise me himself, all that good stuff. For me, a few years ago, these people wanted Jackson and my parent's attention, so they took Jackson and I. Not the sharpest crayon in the pack, I know, taking two kids with super strength and telekinesis, but their idea, not mine. Anyways, I was really scared, and my telekinesis kind of, went over board, and I incinerated the entire area, including the people, except me and Jackson. Your team was the team that found us, and brought us back. Grant was the one who found us, and the one who got me out of the rubble. I was put under isolation until my telekinesis was under control, which took about a year or two. The only person who didn't get hurt whenever I came contact with them during that period was Jackson, so Grant made this," she pulled out her necklace from under her shirt, "for me. The electro-waves in it counteract the telekinesis, helping me keep it under control. Fitz helped him, but Grant insisted making it himself." Gwyneth took a breath before looking Skye in the eye. "He saved me, and he's been saving other people's lives ever since then, so yeah, I trust him."

Skye let out a breath from her puffed cheeks. "Wow."

Gwyneth nodded. "Grant might have played for the wrong team this time, but it wasn't for the reasons that make him a "betrayer". He didn't join Hydra after joining S.H.I.E.L.D. He was loyal to the person he owed his life to, and the only person he knew as his family. I could never blame him for that."

Skye shrugged. "I guess, but it's all so...fuzzy. I wish there was some simple answer."

"There is. It's just hard to find in this mess."

Skye looked at Gwyneth questioningly and Gwyneth continued.

"Grant is loyal, and he won't betray anyone he thinks is worthy of his loyalty. When I started working with him, his only goal, the thing that kept him working and moving forward was the idea that he would be able to work with S.H.I.E.L.D. again, and you."

"Me?" Skye asked.

"Yep." Gwyneth said, turning towards he door. "I'm going to find Jackson. Try to figure out all of this for yourself, because me telling you everything only goes so far. Have a good night."

And with that, Gwyneth left the room, leaving Skye to her thoughts.

A year later, everything was semi back to normal. Ward had become one of the team again, and everyone had trust in him, May holding the biggest grudge to him, although the grudge wasn't that large anymore. Skye and Ward had started dating, and everyone knew about it almost immediately. Coulson gave them a smile, but with a little glimmer of death at Ward.

Gwyneth and Jackson had gone, Gwyneth saying that project R.E.H.A.B. had been finished. Ward had been reluctant for them to leave, but eventually gave in.

Skye was working on decoding a computer chip when she saw Ward walking out of Coulson's office with Coulson. They were smiling, and Coulson shook Ward's hand warmly before Ward noticed Skye looking at them.

Skye turned away quickly, trying to act like she didn't see anything, but Ward still walked over to her, smirking.

"Well, well, well. What were we looking at, Miss?" Ward stood beside her, raising his eyebrows at her.

"What were you doing in Coulson's office?" Skye asked, still staring at her screen.

"This and that. Nothing important to you. What're you doing?"

Skye sighed. "Trying to decode this chip FitzSimmons found."

Ward's spoke slowly and sarcastically. "Fuuuuuuun."

"Oh yeah," Skye agreed jokingly, "it's a real good time."

Ward could tell she was getting frustrated with it and decided she needed a break. He took the remote she was using to control the monitor out of her hands. She made a small noise of protest, but stopped as he leaned in and kissed her, one hand going to the back of her neck, the other going to her cheek. Skye turned her body to fully face Ward and put her elbows on his shoulders, pulling him closer. After a second or two Ward's hands moved to Skye's hair, getting fistfuls of it before Skye's hands wandered down to Ward's waist, playing with his tee's hem. Ward smiled into their kiss and he pulled back to allow Skye to take his shirt off.

"Dear god." Skye mumbled, looking at his perfect abs.

Ward smiled and grabbed her hips. "C'mere." Skye smiled and Ward took no time pulling her by the waist towards him, kissing her again, but this time more heated, harder, and more unmasked desire. Skye sighed Ward's name and Ward needed no further convincing.

In one smooth movement, he lifted her by her hips, swung her around, and sat her on her table. Skye gave a soft moan of pleasure and dug her hands into his hair, pulling him as close to herself as possible, her legs wrapping around him as their kisses got more feverish.

Ward had moved his hands up her curved torso, loving each curve as he ran over it. Ward's hands had wandered down again, and then under her short, hitching it up an inch or two as his palms made contact with her skin. They were interrupted by an overly exaggerated cough. They both broke away quickly, turning to see who had coughed.

"Coulson." Skye said panicking.

Coulson, who was standing in the doorway, gave a grin. "Please refrain from doing that on my multi-million dollar equipment. I think everyone would prefer a room with a door that locks."

Ward nodded, trying to regain composure. "Yes, sir."

Coulson nodded back once. "Thank you. I need you two down in FitzSimmon's lab. Now."

Skye hopped down off the table and smoothed out her shirt the best she could. "Course, AC."

Coulson stood still for a beat before turning around and walking towards the lab. Skye and Ward looked at each other.

"So...that was-" Skye started.

Grant cut her off. "Yeah." After a second he gestured outwards. "We should probably go."

Skye nodded in agreement and walked out of the room, Ward at her side.
