The Heart Pirates hide in the forest as they spy on their target. Penguin and Shachi both have binoculars scoping the area. They had found out the secret hideout of their target.

"She hasn't come back yet Captain..." Said Shachi.

"We'll continue to remain here until she does..." replies Law.

"Who is this woman anyway? It feels like she's got a personal vendetta against you." asks Jean

Law remembered. Jean and Rei are his most recent crew members, so they don't know who that woman is, and what she wants from Law.

"She's Lucy Reigun. She was a noble until she grew tired of her boring life of living in luxury, and set out to venture the world. She got her hands on a devil fruit called the Nyan Nyan fruit. Which gives her cat like reflexes, and the ability to turn others into cats." Law said.

"I ran into her at a bar, before the two of you joined us. Her and I had a couple of drinks, which we continued to do for almost two weeks. Then one night, after her and her crew went to sleep, we looted their ship, and left." he continued

"Wow, sounds like you know a lot about her even though you only met with her once." said Jean.

"Well, I uh..." Law cleared his throat and said, "We slept together...While being drunk, she told me a lot of... personal things..."

Law was hesitant with his words, because he can feel Rei's glare from behind him. He could sense a dark aura emanating from her little kitten form.

I guess Lucy is one of the very many girls Law has slept with... Rei thought.

"Captain, She's back." said Penguin.

"Good. Let's go pay her a visit..." said Law.

The crew sneaked down to the hideout, and one by one knocked out the crew members who were patrolling the area.

"She must be in there..." whispered one of the crew members as he pointed to a brightly lit room.

The Heart Pirates had busted the door open, and was ready to fight. And there sat Lucy, in a chair.

"Welcome Law. I've been expecting you. I see you got passed my men." she said.

"Lucy, turn Rei back to normal. I'll even give you back your treasure. I still have them." said Law.

"Hm...how bout, no? If you want me to do that, you're going to have to kill me." she replies

"Fine." Law says "I will." Law pulls out his nodachi.

Lucy was upset. She didn't think he'd actually not hesitate to fight her. Lucy growled, as claws grew, and sharp teeth formed. Her eyes changed, her back hunched over, as fur and a pair of cat ears popped out. She charged at him, as Law charged at her. Law went for the first strike. Lucy blocked his blade with a with her long sharp claws. She back flipped, and slashed the air as red slashes were headed for Law. Fortunately for him, he was able to block them.

"Room!" Law yelled. (Don't you just love it when he says "Room"?)

The area was engulfed in a huge dome thing. Law began slashing his sword in the air. Lucy dodged them, but the walls couldn't. The walls of the room were slashed through. Lucy jumped out of the huge opening he had made, to get more space to maneuver. Law followed after her. Rei and the others watched from above. The slashing and clashing of sword and claws continued on.

Law finally managed to hurt her, but it wasn't a wound painful enough to die over. It was just a sword slash to the arm. She bled and clenched it. Lucy then rushed to him, and clawed at his chest with her other arm. The scratch ripped through his sweater, and scratched his bare chest, and he bled as well.

Law charged at Lucy, as she was prepared to fight back, but he had already switched places with an object, and appeared behind her. Law slashed her with his nodachi, and she bled. She screamed in pain.

This is bad... Rei thought. She had to do something. But shes a cat. What else can she do? She didn't want a person to die. This wasn't the adventure she wanted to experience. It's not like the type of adventure her mother told her about. So she jumped down from the building, and dashed toward Law and Lucy.

"Turn. Her. Back...!" hissed Law as he slashed her more. His voice rumbled deep, and full of anger.

"No..." Lucy was now coughing up a bit of blood.

"Have it your way..." Law lifted his nodachi, and was about to slash her again.

Rei came just in time to stop him from hurting her, but she was too late when Law inflicted the final blow on Rei. Out came a yelp from the wounded kitten, as blood spurted out. Rei then collapsed to the ground, not making a single sound. When Law realized what he had done, his eyes grew wide open, and he dropped his nodachi.

"Rei...! Rei!" yelled Law. He knelt down to grab her bleeding kitten body. "Rei, stay with me!"

Rei could feel herself slip away into a deep sleep.

"No...Not again..." muttered Law in a frustrated, scared voice.

'Not again'? What does he mean? Rei thought before she dozed off.

Rei woke up to find herself back in her bedroom, still in a kitten form. She looked over to see Law sitting on the edge of the bed, hunched over. His face buried in his folded hands.

-Flash back-

"No...Not again." muttered Law.

Law gently picked up the wounded kitten.

"Captain!" hollered the crew as they ran to him.

"Is she...?" asked Penguin assuming she was dead.

"No, she's still alive, but barely breathing." replied Law. "We need to get back to the submarine and treat her wound immediately." The rest of the crew ran off with Rei first.

"You..." uttered Lucy. "Does she really mean that much to you?"

Law turned his head to see Lucy sitting up. He didn't reply. He turned away and began to walk.

"I just want to know..." said Lucy. "During those two weeks, did you ever love me even just a little?"

"Take care, Lucy..." Law finally said. Lucy wanted to say something else, but the lump in her throat just wouldn't let her. Law can hear her whimper. As he could here her nakama waking up.

-End flashback-

He looked over at Rei, as she quickly tried to fake sleep. She glued her eyes shut. She could hear a soft worried sigh as she felt a hand stroking the back of her ear.

"I'm sorry..." muttered Law. "This wasn't supposed to happen..."

Crap. Does he know that she's awake?

"I..." Law wanted to say something, but kept it to himself. He got up from the bed, and left the room, shutting the door behind him. Law leaned against the door, looking down, and pinching the bridge of his nose. He stood there for a few seconds, then went to his room to rest up a bit, before going back and begging Lucy to turn Rei back to normal again.

Rei opened her eyes as soon as he left. She was mad at Law for almost killing Lucy, but at the same time, she feels bad for making him worry like that.

No...Not again... That same phrase kept repeating like a broken record in her head.

What does he mean by that? Rei clenched her tiny chest. She felt a sharp pain there. It wasn't a painful pain, it was a sweet kind of pain. A pain of wanting. Of yearning. It was the same kind of feeling she felt when she first fell in love with Tetsuo.

Oh no... Rei thought.

Am I falling in love with Law? Rei sat up. This is bad. She doesn't want to fall for a jerk. He maybe a jerk, but he's a pretty decent guy... but then again, he's a player too. But he seemed so sincere just now.

No, no! She cannot fall for him. She just can't. But she is. Out of the nowhere,Rei began to glow.

She looked at her paws. She grew fingers. She's growing taller. The fur, whiskers, ears and tail are going away.

Finally, she's back to her normal self again!

Does that mean Lucy decided to turn her back? Or did Law...?

Rei hopped off the bed, put on some clothes, and ran out the door.

She ran to Law's room, and banged on his door.

"Law! Law...!" she shouted.

Law quickly opened the door to see Rei standing there, in the flesh. No literally, in flesh. She was no longer a cute furry kitten. Just her normal self, standing before him.

"You're back to normal...!" Law said in astonishment.

"How is your wound?" Law asked. He pulled her shirt up, to see that the wound on her body had completely healed. No scars.

He touched her stomach. Fascinated at her healed wound. Rei blushed.

Well, he's a doctor, so... she thought.

"Captain! What's going..." Penguin, Shachi, and the others came rushing to Law's room. They saw that Rei was back to normal. They all saw that what Law was doing and totally misunderstood.

"Captain! What are you doing?" Rei blushed and pulled her shirt down.

"N...Nothing!" Rei ran down the hall. "I'm making breakfast!"

"It's 9:00pm!" yelled Shachi.

"Then I'm making dinner!"

The crew looked over at Law.

"What? I was only checking on her wound. Stop thinking wrong..." sighed Law.

While Rei was preparing dinner, and the others helped set the table, Law set out to find Lucy.

He found her, ship, and placed two large bags of treasure on the deck.

"I thought you'd already used up everything..." Law heard a voice behind him. He turned to see Lucy, covered in bandages.

"I was going to use this as a last resort." Law said.

"Your crew..." Law said.

"They're asleep" replied Lucy.

Law was about to get off the ship, when Lucy hollered, "Wait,"

She kicked over one of the bags.

"I don't need that much." she said.

Law picked it up. He turned away, and continued walk, but then stopped again.

"You turned her back to normal. I appreciate that." It was a thank you. Law didn't really say it, but he meant it. Law didn't really like saying thank you so easily. It makes him seem like a big softy.

"Why did you take it easy on me? One slash from your nodachi, and I would have been dead..." no reply.

"Law, does she even love you?" asked Lucy.

"I don't know..." Law replied as he continued to walk again.

"Do you love her...?"

Law stopped again. He just stood there, back facing Lucy, as he looked to the floors of the ship. He thought about it for a bit. He's got mixed feelings for Rei. He doesn't know how he actually feels.

He pinched the bridge of his eyes and let out a tiny sigh.

"I..." he muttered. "I don't know."

Law, she's changing you, and you don't even know it...

Rei had just prepared dinner when Law got back. The rest of the crew were already at the table, ready to chow down.

"Hey Law, you're just in time." Rei said as she smiled.

Law smiled back.

"What are we having?"
