Attention! From now on, unless labeled otherwise, this story will be from Rin's POV.
This chapter, however, will be in third person, following Yuki-chan.

Thank you, we now return to your (ir) regularly scheduled story.
3rd person pov
Yukio looked like utter hell; his clothes were unkempt and seemed to have been thrown on in a matter of seconds, going so far as to have his cloak on inside out, his skin was clammy and even looked as though it had yet to be showered that morning.
Even his hair, which was usually so well managed, was in a disarray of tangles and knots.
He seemed totally unaware of this, however, as he practically stormed through the halls of Cross Academy, ignoring every pleasant "Good Morning" and "Nice day" that was directed at him.
He was, at the moment, on his way to an appointment that he would have rather missed all together; a sort of blood test to check for any signs he was becoming demonic as his brother.
He had tried to talk his way out of it so he could continue his messages back and forth between the council and him, but this could not be delayed.
His eyes - which were so closely guarded most of the time - betrayed his every emotion, revealing a torrent of rage, grief, and utter terror.
His anger was attributed to the fact that Mephisto had thought about everything.
Everything else was directed at himself.
He had wanted to tell the others the moment he had heard it from Mephisto, but he had thought better of it.
No, not yet; first he had to make sure that it didn't sound as if he was finally going off the deep end with all of his work and the stress he was put under with the council.
And that would not be an easy thing to do, since Mephisto had made sure to give him plenty to work around.
The demon had made everything seem as though Rin really had gone on a mission; he'd gotten paperwork, filled it out, gotten it filed, and had made sure there was no way of contact, including a "valid" excuse for each and every reason they could not get through to him.
The "man" kept denying it, even telling Yukio that he "Must have hallucinated their entire conversation due to stress."
If Amaimon and Mephisto hadn't told Yukio themselves that Rin was in Gehenna, then Yukio may have never of found out.
As he finally got out of the school grounds and went at a near race to where he was supposed to have the checkup, he paused right near a small area of woods.
He peered in, a flash of curiosity and something else briefly crossing his tired, sleep deprived gaze.
But he just shook his head and continued at his speed walk, desperate to get back to his office and continue trying to convince the council that he was being truthful.
He didn't even pay attention to his entire checkup, his mind reeling with arguments and ways to trap the demonic principal and force him to confess.
Then, he thought, he will be forced to give back Rin, and the council will have a reason to kill Amaimon, Mephisto, and every single other demon involved!
How was he supposed to know that only yards away from him, hidden by the underbrush and trees, lay his bandaged and unconscious brother?

Yay! Finally in the double digits of chapters, huh?
I wasn't even planning on making this a multi chapter story when I wrote the first chapter, just a really sad kind of one shot.
But due to my stupidity of not remembering to label the story as complete, people PMed me asking when I was planning to update, or if I was actually done.
And, since because I was so embarrassed, I kept on writing this.
Thank you so much to all of my lovely reviewers, favoriters, and followers!
Next chapter, coming right up. : 3
And sorry that this was a crappy chapter to be the double-digit marker, I haven't had a good night's sleep in forever. :'(
