So uh, heres the next chapter! I hope you guys like this chapter. I put a lot of hard thinking into this chapter to make it come out right xD

"So then, you didn't kill her?" asked Rei while placing the dirty dishes into the sink.

"Course not. I don't plan on wasting my time with her." replied Law as he placed his plate in the sink, and began washing it.

"Oh, you don't have to wash it Law. I can do it..."

"I don't mind cleaning up after myself. Just think of this as payment for making a delicious dinner."

The two of them stood side by side, silently washing dishes. Rei nervously looked at Law. Law catches her eye, as she quickly looked away.

"What?" he asked.

"I've been here for a couple of weeks now, and I still feel like a stranger. I know nothing about any of you." Rei replied.

"You'll know eventually. Just give it sometime."

"Say, Law?"

"Hm?"

"When I nearly fainted the other day, you said, 'No...Not again' what did you mean by that?"

Law froze. He placed the washed plate aside.

"I don't want to talk about it." he said.

"Have you lost someone before?" Asked Rei.

"Can you please, just drop it?" Law cringed

"So you did lose someone. I'm sorry for your loss, who ever it was. When I lost my mother, I..." Rei persisted to say, until Law interrupted her.

"Just shut up! I said I didn't want to talk about it!" Law shouted.

Rei flinched as she dropped the plate she was holding She just wanted to comfort Law, but by the looks of it, he doesn't want to. She didn't think he'd yell at her. The plate had shattered on the floor.

"I...I'll get it..." Rei stuttered. She bent down to pick up the pieces. Law walked passed her. He walked to the kitchen door, and stopped, back facing Rei.

"I'll be heading out now. I assume that you can wash the rest of the dishes?" Rei didn't reply.

"We're heading out tomorrow. If you want to grab anything from the town, you should better do it today."

Law then left to finish some business at the town they stopped at.

Later that afternoon, Rei left the submarine to go venture outside, so she can get some fresh air. Accompanied by her two bird friends, they all took a stroll down town. Children running around, and mothers telling them not to wander off too far. Merchants yelling, and selling things, people chit chatting, and laughing.

Rei inhaled a large amount of air, and exhaled as if she was exhausted, and in suffering. At the corner of her eyes, she saw people staring at her. They were holding a piece of paper, as they pointed, and looking up at her, and then down the paper again.

What, did she already have a bounty on her head? The group of people then slowly tried to approach her. She ran a bit faster. And so did they. Rei then broke into a run, and they too, broke into a run.

"Wait, stop!" said one of them.

Rei ran around the entire town, trying to lose them, but they remained persistent. Rei ended up running into a dead end. There was no place to run. Those people were now behind her. Rei was about to use her powers until one of them said,

"Miss Rei-Ven!"

Rei-Ven? She hasn't heard that name in a while. Oh gosh, are these people fans?

"Miss Rei-Ven, I'm the president of the your fan club, and we wall want your autograph, if it's okay with you..."

Rei let out a sigh of relief.

"Yeah, sure." Rei smiled. Everyone's eyes lit up.

"I was well known on my island, but I'd never expect my music to reach people even from this far..." said Rei.

"Yeah well, I had a friend who visited one of your concerts and bought all of your CDs, and he let me barrow them. Before I knew it, I was a fan. And then, I found all of these guys, who were fans as well."

Said the president.

"Well, I'm really glad that you all enjoyed my music. And I'm really glad I got to meet you guys today. Thank you." smiled Rei.

"No, thank you." said the president.

"You've changed our lives. We all had our fair share of rough times. Each of us in your fan club have been through a lot. When we first heard your music, it gave us meaning to live. It made us feel alive again."

"Wow. I never knew that I'd change a person's life."

After Rei had spent the entire afternoon practically signing autographs, and sitting in a circle -as each member of the fan club tell her the story of their struggles, and how when they heard her music, their life changed,- she was tired. She was tired, but it was totally worth it.

Hearing her fans tell the stories of their lives, she felt all warm and fuzzy. She just loves that feeling of making a person happy. It makes her want to sing again. Aside from what happened in the morning with Law, the rest of her day wasn't entirely that bad.

Rei entered the submarine with a little smile on her face. Rei saw Bepo in the hall.

"Bepo, wanna take a bath again?"

"Okay!" he yelled.

Rei and Bepo sit in the tub. Rei scrubs Bepo's back.

She thought about Law again.

"Hey, Bepo?"

"Hm?"

"Do you know anything about Law's past?"

"Not really...He keeps his personal stuff to himself. Why?"

"Well, I asked him about something this morning, and he got angry with me."

"I never ask Captain about personal stuff. When we do, he gets really scary..."

Bepo and Rei switched places. Now Bepo was scrubbing Rei's back.

"I guess it was my fault for asking. I kept asking him questions that he probably didn't want to tell anyone."

"Maybe he'll share his personal problems with us someday."

"Maybe..." Rei looked down in the water, staring at her reflection.

On the next day, The Heart pirates went through a calm belt. Thank goodness they have a submarine, otherwise, as a ship, they'd be stuck. That would be a big disadvantage for Rei, because she needs wind in order for her power to work. Her powers don't work when she's inside either, unless there's a little opening where air could be brought in. Well, her power to talk to birds still work.
After passing the calm belt, they resurfaced. Everyone stepped outside for some fresh air. Rei stepped out to feel the rush of breezy wind blowing her in the face. The sun was out, and it was pretty quiet, aside from the swaying of water and the chirp of seagulls. It felt so nice out today. Law held a map, looking at the vast ocean, then back down at the map.

Hm...It's should be here... He thought

"What is it Captain?" asked Bepo.

"This map that Aki gave me...It's supposed to be a short cut to the new world. There should be a glimpse of a small island over there..." Law squinted. He saw a tiny dot up ahead. That must be the island.

"10 more minutes, and we're headed back inside." Law announced. There was a wave of "aw"s

After ten minutes had passed, they all headed inside, and straight for the island without submerging. Rei who didn't hear Law's announcement, or who didn't care, just stood outside the deck, leaning against the wooden railing, while admiring the scenery.

The wind was still blowing. It felt so good not to be cooped up in a submarine. Fresh air was what she needed.

As the sub grew closer to the island, the wind had whistled in her ear, and she heard a man say,

"The Heart pirates are hear! Notify commander Bookins now!" Rei grew worried.

Were they being ambushed?

Rei ran back inside to tell Law.

"Law!" Rei ran banged on his door.

"What?!" Law shouted as he pulled open his door.

"I think we're being ambushed!" she said

"You think...?" he said.

"I heard a bunch of marines talking, and that they had to notify an commander that we're here. "

"How could you hear that? We aren't close to the island yet, and other than that, there's no other person out at sea to hear..."

"It's my powers, duh..."

"Your powers?"

"Yeah." she said.

"Sounds are carried in the form of wind, as wind blows, it makes a whistling sound, which only I can understand."

"So you're saying that you heard voices from the wind that said we were being ambushed...?" Law raised an eyebrow.

"You don't believe me do you...?"

"Nope."

"Law, I'm serious! We're gonna be ambushed! We have to submer...!" Rei was interrupted by a huge bang, as the sub shook.

"We've been hit!" shouted a crew member.

"See? I told you!" yelled Rei as her and Law rushed to see what had happened.

"What hit us?" asked Law

"A cannon ball."

"Submerge, now!"

"We can't, there's a huge opening in the sub. If we submerge now, Water will come flooding in!"

"Damn it..." Law clenched his teeth.

"We've been hit again!"

"Bepo, Penguin, Shachi, Bart. Help me hold off the the cannons!" Law ordered.

"Aye aye, Captain!" they all said. Law gave orders to each and everyone of the crew, except Rei.

"What about me? What do I do?"

"Just stay put!"

Stay put? Everyone is risking their lives at this moment, and Law just tells her to stay put? Nu uh, she's not a useless person that could just "stay put."

Rei ran outside to see cannon balls being fired, as marine ships surrounded the sub.

Law, Bepo, Bart, Penguin and Shachi were fighing off as many cannonballs as they can.

At the corner of his eye, Law saw Rei.

"I told you to stay put!" he yelled

"I can help!" Rei yelled back.

While Law wasn't looking, a cannon ball was heading his way.

"Look out!" Rei charged for it. She flew over Law's head, and (Slow-mo moment) quickly whistled, and put her right palm on the cannon ball, pushing it back. The ball launched itself back at one of the ships, and half the ship blew up.

More cannon balls headed her way, and she whistled. She made this whistling sound : tracks/dialog/39765 as her arms were raised up as if carrying the cannonballs.

Then she made this whistling sound: tracks/dialog/39715 as she yanked her arms down. The cannons crashed down on the ships.

Most of the ships eventually sank. But the one that was still standing, was an commander ship.

Law could see the commander on the ship.

"Room." Law teleported to the ship.

Law took out his nodachi and charged at the person. That person also had a sword and charged at Law too. When Law saw who it was, his eyes widened.

"You..." he said.

There were no more cannons firing. She turned around to see Law fighting someone on the marine commander ship. She flew over to help, but once she saw who Law was fighting, she stopped.

It was Aki. The woman Rei caught having in bed with Law.

No way... Rei thought. Yes, Aki was a marine. A commander.

Rei snapped out of the trance she was in, and flew to Law. Other low ranking marines were running to words Law. Rei had fended them off.

"You're a marine?" Law said as the two were at each other's throats.

"Surprised?" Aki broke free and tried to slash at Law.

"So you set us up..." Law growled.

"I never knew it would be so easy." Aki said. Law was pissed at himself. He was so eager to make it to the new world, he was less cautious about whether to believe a person. At the time, when Aki showed him on the map, it seemed to look correct.

Meanwhile:

Rei used a strange type of martial arts on the marines. Law saw it at the corner of his eye.

"Hey, pay attention to your opponent, Law." Aki almost cut Law.

For just a navy commander, Aki was pretty strong. But not strong enough.

"Room." Law said. There was a huge dome around them now. Law teleported again, and appeared behind Aki. He sliced her in half. Law did the same with a near by marine.

"Shambles..."

"What the..." Aki said, as she looked at herself. She fell to the floor.

"What did you do? Put me back together damn it!"

"How bout I just leave you like this...?" Law looked down at her and smirked.

Law saw a large man with I giant battle ax sneaking up on Rei.

"Behind you!" Law shouted.

Law tried to dive in to help her, but he couldn't make it in time. Rei's reaction time is very fast, so the moment she heard Law yell, she turned around and put up a barrier made of wind. The man came in contact with it, but the force of it, bounced his ax away, and he tumbled over.

Since it's made of wind, it can only negate small and weak attacks. This attack wasn't as strong, but wasn't as weak either. So when it was hit, the wind barrier dissolved. As the man tumbled over, he knocked over Law too, who was running to Rei. Law fell into the water.

"Law!" Rei dove in after him. The remaining marines stood there in silence.

"Well, they're both devil fruit users, so there's no way they can survive..." said one of them.

"But what about them?" someone pointed at the sinking submarine.

"Leave em. The water is too deep for anyone to dive in and come back up. Let them drown..." said the second in command of the ship, as he woke up from being knocked out by Rei. He heard Aki moaning.

"Let's head back. Our commander needs medical attention." All the marines saluted, followed by a "Yes sir" from each of them.

All the other ships that were there, had left, while The Heart Pirates sank to the bottom of the ocean.

The sea grew dead silent.

I hoped you guys liked it! There are still some powers left that I haven't revealed yet. Those are saved for a later time :) I've noticed a lot of people have favorite my stories! :D But not a lot of people commented on this story. I'd be nice to hear other people share their opinions about this fanfic xD
