(Berk at night)
Ingrid and Alistair Hofferson were sitting in the great were talking to valka, stoick who for once was on break and spitelout wife Armania.
"It's harder than it looks managing them and then going to sleep" said valka
"Sure his" said Armania and ingrid in unison.
"They wouldn't stop crying last night i almost didn't have time to sleep after putting charger to sleep"said Alistair.
"You help with the kid?"Said valka mockingly while putting on a surprise face.
"Yes i had no other choice because two is too much for my wife to handle alone,and i don't really mind" retorqued Alistair
"Wow,Ingrid you are one lucky women,if stoik just clean the houses or even dare trying to cook,i would think of it as a miracle" said valka laughing.
"Anyway,i heard you received the twins plush"Said stoik.
"Yeah, i mean i never did heard of these kind of plush but i think it's cool, i mean one has a key and the other one has a little box to put memory in it wich is already done"Said allistair with a amused expression.
"Oh that's so cute so what to they look like?" asked Armania
"Astrid has the key in it and it his a yellow and a pale blue deadly nadder with a white stomach and charger has a black and red deadly nadder" said ingrid remembering the beauty of the plush
"awesome it's looks cool to...''Armania couldn't finished before three big and loud horn sound were heard followed by the recognisable scream of spitelout jorgenson,the chief second and Armania husband.
"DRAGON RAID" he screamed running to the weapon shop going to get his axe that needed sharpening.
Every viking took their weapon and got outside. Their chief Stoick ordered everyone to their positions like he always did,With his deep and menacing chief voice.
"Alistair, handle the catapult,Gobber set the forge on,You three go help allistair with the catapult,the rest stay on ground and defend the houses"He said
"Ingrid go watch the kid,Make sure nothing happens"Said allistair to his wife
"I can't i am on fire duty tonigth,but i will keep a close look on the house"
"Please,dragon are not the ennemy if we just stop killing them,they will stop attacking us"Said valka so that everyone could hear her.
"Valka go home and protect hiccup"Said stoik angrily.
Valka started walking in the direction of the house but as soon as she was out of sight she started screaming the same thing about stopping the had been hours since the raid at started,it wasn't good,none are but this one was really bad,lot's of house were on fire and other add big hole in their roof,Even the chief house had a hole in it,directly in little hiccup room,Valka who had seen everything was running home already but when a dragon landed in the hole she started to run faster than she ever was looking for smoke,she was relieved that nothing happened to her house yet,Suddenly a loud skriech was heard and a big explosion,Ingrid being the chief of the fire brigade went to investigate and what she discovered made her freeze,She couldn't tell for how long but the sight of a hole in her houses roof right were charger was located was she finally unfroze she rushed in and headed upstairs,She rushed in astrid room and rushed down again,she saw somebody standing there and just ran towards him and started speaking so fast that she wasn't understandable so she had to repeat herself.
"Can you hold my daughter for me while i go get my son"she said in a scared tone without even waiting for is answer she passed him Astrid and rushed to her house.
"sure i ..."He answered but she was already gone
She got in again going this time to her son room. Climbing the stair again she got to the door and opened it,all she saw was a dragon,what kind of dragon was that,she didn't know that dragon looked like a wolf somehow and he was big,bigger than a deadly nadder,it was gray and at first you tougt he was made of fur but after a good look you would realise that he was constituted of over a million little scale that made it look like tried reassuring the baby but she was mostly trying to reassure herself and while looking at charger she realise that he wasn't scared at all. She started to move to her son while saying to him it was okay and that she was there but it was more to reassure herself than to reassure her son. The half dragon half wolf roared at her so she made a few step back out of fear and then one of the supportive pillar drop right in front of her blocking the access to her son. Since she could not reach her son,the dragon started to fly and with his paw it took the bed that Charger was started panicking has the dragon went higher and higher into the skies with her baby.
"Charger,Charger!"She screamed out of panic.
She then fainted due to the fire and the smoke. Alistair was running home after hearing the explosion and seeing the hole in the house,he arrived just in time to see the dragon take off with the baby's bed and when he heard his wife screamin the baby's name he understood that the baby was still in it,he then rushed inside and went in charger's room to discover his wife then got to her side and got her on his shoulder and took her out of their house and went to the village healer's,Gothi said that she would be fine if she just relaxed and took it slow for a while,hours later she woke up.
"Charger!" screamed ingrid as she woke up.
"Relax Ingrid,Gothi said you needed to relax for a week at least" Said Alistair
"Relax?, a dragon that looked like a wolf just took my baby and i am supposed to relax" She said angrily
"A dragon that looks like a wolf,That sounds like one of the dragon of the alfa vorour, the guard of the alpha,this one would more precisely be the drekaulfur" Said gobber excited
"Gobber,It's not the place not even the time for your story" Said Alistair
"Sorry,i am just trying to cheer her up,i mean she lost her kid and her best friend" Said gobber apologetic.
"What?. They took Valka" Said ingrid surprise.
"Good job Gobber,we said that we wouldn't give her the news right as she woke up" Said Alistair discouraged.
"Nobody told me that,i tought you wanted to tell her as soon as possible"
"No we wanted to wait a bit so that it would'nt hurt as much,anyway i should have told you but i forgot" Said Alistair apologizing.
Ingrid taught how depressed Stoick must be and asked if she could see him. Ten minute later Stoick arrived and Ingrid just hugged him. Stoick for the first time in front of anybody or probably for his life started crying.
"I loved her so much and now i am gonna have to raise hiccup on my own" Realizing that he wasn't the only one who lost someone he asked. "And you how are you doing?"
"Not good, i have problem breathing and still can chase away the painful memory"She said while she started crying.
Stoick looked at her and only one thing could get out of his mouth."I know they are still alive and somewhere after all they are viking and i swear to Odin that i will look for them until i find them alive"
although she knew they were dead,there were still part of her that wanted to believe what Stoick was saying. Even if her logical side said they were dead there was still that little hope that no matter what they was stile a chance.
"look i will look for my wife and charger for a year while meanwhile you can keep an eye on hiccup"
"yes it will be my honour"
"Alright then i guess i will go prepare myself i will be back in two or three weeks" said Stoick as he walked away
(On an island far away) one week later
The Drekaulfur that took charger and Another dragon a kraftgjafi.
"Please you have to save him Dart'' Said the Drekaulfur.
"Who said i had to save him ,you, do i need to remind you that i am the boss Frelsara" Said Dart.
"No Dart ,but please help him you know you said you needed one more so why don't you try it with him?"
"Are you crazy,i don't know what will happen,He could die,"
"So what he is still gonna die if we don't do anything"
"I guess your right both way, he might die so this will save him for now but i don't know what will happen when he turns fifteen and he receives his power of drekaljon"
"Why was it decided that the power were activated at fifteen"
"The answer is very simple,they taught it was the age dragon were intelligent enough to understand good from wrong and how to control their power,Aldo he will receive some minor power like stength,stamina and the red beast"
Maria left the room right after his explanation and Dart got to work. Aldo it wasn't a complicated task he still didn't like doing it and even less show it to somebody else but it had to be done. He got closer to charger and went right in front of his face and opened his mouth. a strange golden liquid came out of his mouth and went into chargers mouth,nose and it wasn't beautiful it just saved his life but the question was for how long,But atleast he add sixteenyears of life before starting to panic,well more like fourteen to get him to settle with his dart was thinking about that he realised he adn't tell maria she could come back in so he did but no answer came waited for a long time but no answer so he went to investigate and what he found did not please him. Men, men everywhere. Maria was down she wasn't dead she just had too many people on her. Dart did the only thing that went trough his head he went to help Maria ,killing several human at the time. He reached her and liberated her from the ropes the human trowed on her. He didn't have time to think about charger, he only taught about one thing, surviving and that he did. Him and Maria got away that day from the dragon hunter.
"They ran away sir " Said a man to his chief
"Then we will run after them until we catch them but first let's explore the cave they lived in" Was the response of his chief
Suddenly a cry was heard from a little cave in that was made in the rock.
"What is that sound i hear Rust" asked the chief
"I don't know sir"
"Then go investigate and please stop calling me sir you know my name"
"Yes sir... i mean Volt"
Two minute later Rust came back with a strange news.
"Volt we know what it is and it is strange to say the least"
"I didn't ask so what is it?"
"It's that" Rust said showing Charger to Volt who started to read the name on the clothes.
"Charger , well that's a name for a viking"
"So what do we do with him Volt"
"Same thing we do when we find a new person,we bring back to the island so that he becomes a slave"
"You mean you want a little baby of probably two months or less to be a slave" Said Rust with a shock expression on his face.
"Yes Rust, you see he will be raise by slave and when he turns five he will begin work because we might need some little hand,i mean he will not begun slavery before that,after all i am not a monster,before his fifth birthday he will be treated like a normal kid"
"So i will bring him to the boat sir"
"Good,now let's get back home so that we can give him to some slave and stop calling me sir,my name is volt"
They left for the island of Selkirk to give charger to the slave so he can be raise by them and learn that he should follow what they say he has to took them two days to get back to their island but they still didn't change their mind on charger arrived and immediately Rust was rushed to give charger to the slave although he didn't want to but it was chief order and he didn't care because he didn't want to go down there he went there to give them charger that was sleeping and so he went inside the slave sanctuary and opened the door with the key and went to the women section.
"Hey everybody we got a gift for one of you, a nice little baby that you will need to prepare for slavery,he will begin slavery in about five years but until then one of you will have to educate him and when you cannot educate him he will go play with the other kid until he becomes a slave,so who will care for him?" asked rust rapidly.
"I will take the charge of his education. What his is name?" ask somebody in the little crowd that had just form itself.
"His name his Charger and what his your name?" ask rust to the women.
"My name his Selena, so his there anything i should know about him".
"We found him while hunting dragon and he has this little stuff toy that looks like a Deadly Nadder but that's it"
"Alright so can i get food to feed him?"
"Yes sure right away"But he didn't move.
"So what are you waiting for?"Selena asked with an angry face
"I am waiting for you to realize that you are not my boss Selena, you will get another portion to feed him ,but it will be smaller than a normal portion. he will need to wait until next meal because that his the order from the boss"With that he walked away with a sad expression on his face.
"What can i do with you now little charger" Selena said carrying him over to her bed with his stuff toy in his hand.
(Berk) One year later
Stoick searched every little island in the archipel for his wife and charger. After a year of nothing he finally decided that it was time to say what he didn't want to say. He summoned everybody to the great hall raising lots of question.
"Why do you think he summoned us in the great hall" Gobber asked to anybody who could answer.
They entered the great hall and they were patiently waiting for the announcement. They were talking to each other waiting for the beginning of the announcement. Stoick was trying to gather himself after all he is the chief. It is not always easy but this is for him the hardest things he ever had to say because he didn't want to realized he lost his wife but also because he knew Ingrid enough to think of what will be her reaction. He lifted his hand in the air to silence everyone and started speaking.
"So as you all know its been a year since my wife and the Hofferson son were captured and it is officially time that i declare them dead so from this day onward the search for them will end".
Everybody knew that it was a hard thing to say for Stoick because even if it's already been a year he still wouldn't give up, but now he just did. The Hofferson had already accepted the dead of Charger. they just did not know what they were gonna say to Astrid once she was gonna be old enough and what about the twin plushy that looks like Deadly Nadder, Charger had his twin plushy with him when he got taken away and he had the red and black one, that was the one that had the box in it. Even if it was hard for them to hear Stoick say that they were declared dead. They knew that it was harder for Stoick that it was for them.
"Tomorrow we will send them properly in valhalla,We will burn a ship for each of them and then we will go celebrate has our brother, sister, wife and kid take their place at the table of valhalla with thor and odin themselves" Said Stoick energetically.
"YEAH" was everybody answer's.
The next day everything was prepared for the final journey to valhalla for those who add ,bow and arrow,Their personnal belonging and the feast for that was helping,even some kid tried helping,without success but they preparation was going well,The boat were being prepared,so was the feast and it was big,Sheep,chicken,fish even cheese and milk from the that day the ceremonie started and of course they started with the prayer
"May the Valkyries welcome them and lead them through Odin's great battlefield. May they sing their name with love and fury, so that we might hear it rise from the depths of Valhalla and know that they've taken they're rightful place at the table of kings. For great people have fallen: warriors, a mother, a friend, a baby." Said stoick with a tear in the corber of his eyes.
Then Stoick, Ingrid and Alistair took an arrow and light it on fire and Stoik shot hit in the boat for Valka while Ingrid and Alistair shot in the boat for Charger. Then everybody took their arrow and shot them onto the boats to ignite them in sacred flam so that their soul may get to valhalla without staying on earth. After the boat had burned and sunk to the bottom of the sea, everyone went in the great hall for the feast. The feast lasted very long, no food was left at the end but everybody liked it, Stoick who was still a bit sad about it wasn't better once he had consumed next day everything was back to normal aldo stoick would still give hiccup to the hofferson in the morning so that he could do his chief duty.
(Selkirk island)
It had been a year since charger arrived and he was only one year and a half but he could already walk,run he just didn't speak guard started visiting him when they had the time, even rust loved him,He and selena actually developed a relationship because of takes well care of Charger but since she a slave she doesn't have a lot to give to him but she still raised him the best she could like if she was his would take him in during the day while selena was on slave duty and would let him play with other wasn't of any difference rust had come to pick him up.
"So what are we gonna do today my little charger" said Selena with a smiling face looking at charger
"You i don't know but he is coming with me for the day"
"Yeah i know but please pay attention to him"
"You know i love him like a son and always had,since the day we found him in this cave with the dragons and you know like this he gets well nourish and cleaned"
"I know but you know i love him a lot and i am ready to protect him no matter the cost Rust"
"Yeah but it's not like you can stay here all day with little charger,but i can be with him"
"Your right,but anyway i got to get going" She started walking away so that she could go do her job.
"Mommy please don't leave" Said charger in a little voice
"Well look at that,he said his very first word"
"Yes,yes he did,i am so proud of him but i still got to leave"
"Dad don't let her leave,please" asked charger to rust
"And now i am the one who's proud,he consider me has is dad"Said rust with a smile on his face
"Yes,yes he does,well i guess that make us his parent doesn't it?"Selena said with a big smile on her face
"Yes" responded Charger with a smile on his face
