I know that I haven't posted for a while, but there is a reason for this… for you see, I HAVE BEEN BUILDING UP AND ARMY OF UPDATES THAT WILL TAKE OVER THE "RECENTLY UPLOADED" SEARCH RESULTS FOR Blue Exorcist! :D
LET THE MASS POSTING BEGIN!
Satan's POV
I grinned as I felt Rin go through the portal behind me, glad that I wouldn't have to go back there again and drag him through the portal. It was so much simpler that my strongest son had come willingly. Being up there in the human world was highly unpleasant for me, considering how everything from that world I touched would be destroyed in minutes if not seconds.
For me the step through the portal was nothing new, and I hardly felt anything of the pressure. Rin, on the other hand, I felt more than saw cringe and curl up a bit as the space was distorted and yet frozen at the same time, flashes of tormenting images flashing across the both endless and suffocating walls.
And then, as soon as it had started or perhaps what felt like a million years of torment, it ended. We were now in a somewhat human room, an office of a kind. I stared around the familiar space, bringing one of my hands out in front of my face to close it, testing the strength of my chosen form. Grinning when I could feel my own strength coursing through the appendage I turned back to where Rin had fallen to the ground.
Going up to him and kneeling down in front of him, I placed a hand on his shoulder. "Welcome home, my son," I said in what I would consider to be a vaguely fatherly voice. I may have completely screwed it up when Rin had his memories, but I would keep my favorite son here so he could have the life I wanted for him, the life his mother wanted. Without his mind poisoned with human thoughts he would make an excellent prince.
Rin's POV
"Welcome home, my son."
The voice of my father echoed in my head for a moment, the voice both spoken and mental at the same time somehow. I felt a hand on my shoulder and resisted the urge to pull away, not understanding why his touch made me feel so spiteful. Perhaps it was just the shock of that split moment of transportation through the gate messing with my head. Or had it been years in there…?
Looking up, I was confused for a moment at what I saw; Instead of the form I had somehow expected him to be in -some horrid monster, or a red human with spiky tail maybe-, he actually looked fairly human, about as much as my brother and I did.
His hair was a deep raven black and neatly arranged to keep out of his eyes, his skin was a deep tan color, and his almost transparent blue eyes both bore holes into your soul and relaxed me. It was odd, and somewhere in the back of my mind I couldn't help but hate it, hate every way that he looked like one of those filthy humans.
I almost forgot to smile back, standing up with the help of a hand he offered me. The skin was a cold that felt as if it would freeze my fingers off just from the contact. "So… this is home, Father?" I asked, looking around the room. I had to squint a bit; my good eye was still not the very best, and the other was still covered, as far as I could tell.
His hand was once more on my shoulder, and he nodded "Yes, Rin." He said in that almost infuriating voice of his. "It surprises me that you do not recall your own home. Those humans must have really hurt you horribly… but no matter." The hand left my shoulder as he led the way to a large oak desk in one corner of the room, the wood carved with strange patterns and symbols. "They will receive their judgment soon enough, and I can assure you that it will be a swift and torturous punishment."
I followed him over to the desk, looking over his shoulder at some of the papers that were sprawled across it. Much of the words were those that I could not understand, and a bit of a nagging though itched the back of my mind. 'If I'm the prince of Hell, shouldn't I have been taught how to read all of this…?'
I had no time to think about it farther, because just then Satan turned back around holding some very official-looking papers. "Now," he said as he led me by the shoulder to a large door in the dimly lit room, "Let's get to the matters about your eye, shall we?"
