It was a regular day for Mary and jane. They played in the garden on the weekends. Today they
played in the gardens maze and while they were playing they heard a loud noise like glass
breaking. Father was that you!?. She shouted. Yes mary it was me I fell and broke a glass! Oh
father, are you okay!? Yes I'm okay now you get back to what you were doing. I don't want to
ruin your fun! Okay father!. As they went back to play they heard another noise. It sounded like
a faint scream but they paid no attention to it. They thought they were just hearing things so they
just went along and played. As the sun went down they went inside and saw their father cleaning
something very rapidly. Jane went to see what he was washing but their father rushed to the
door and shut it. I wonder what that was all about? Said Jane. It was most likely nothing, said
Mary. yeah you're right I guess it was just my imagination getting the best of me again. Yeah,
maybe now let's get ready for supper. Yes, let's. As Jane was going up stairs she looked back
with a concerned look. I wonder what father was really doing in there. As they got ready for
dinner their mother came home from work. Mother, welcome home! Welcome home ma! Oh hello my little ones how was your day today girls? Oh mother, me and Mary found you some
beautiful flowers! Oh really let me see. Yes, let me go get them! Okay mary. So Jane, did your
father come and play with you and Mary today? No father was in the house all day again. Oh
well, maybe he'll come and play with you on sunday. Yeah maybe. Here you go mother aren't
they beautiful! Oh yes they are very beautiful. Now go set the table up for supper. Yes mother!
As they ate dinner Jane couldn't help herself from asking her father what he was doing earlier
today. So father, what were you washing so rapidly today in the kitchen?. Um, I was washing
my shirt. I got some paint on it earlier. Oh okay father. As they went back to eating, Jane just
didn't believe her father for some reason. A couple of weeks passed and things got weirder with
her father. One day her and Mary went to get some water inside the house and they heard a
man screaming. They thought their father got hurt so they ran up stairs to see and they saw a
door cracked open they looked through the crack and they saw their father coming out of a book
shelf. They had never seen that book shelf open before so Jane and Mary made a plan to see
what was in there. At midnight they would go in that room and find out how to open the secret
door they would do this within the night. Time passed and it was time to proceed with the plan.
