Once again I was in the cave where Rumplestiltskin was being jailed. It must have been in between the time that Snow White and Prince Charming came to visit and when the curse engulfed us, for the hole was deep but not as deep as the last time I had seen it. Rumplestiltskin was sitting in the back of his cell cloaking himself in shadow. I was still hard at work magically digging the hole to help him escape.

"It's just us, dearie, you can show yourself." Said Rumplestiltskin coming forward into the light.

"I know it is just us," I said, "Why are you…" I turned my head to look in my blind spot, to see the Evil Queen materialize from some black smoke. Seeing her in the flesh for the first time all I could think was, yup that's Mayor Mills…in nearly skin tight leather….that is an image I never wanted to see.

She cracked her neck, "That curse you gave me. It's not working."

"Are you sure you did it right?" I asked climbing out of the hole, dusting myself off.

"Yes. And I do not need to hear any sarcasm from a mere child." Said the Queen impatiently

"Oh, so worried," said Rumplestiltskin clapping his hands, "So, so worried. Like Snow and her lovely new husband"

"What?" said the Queen.

"They paid me a visit as well," explained Rumplestiltskin coming right to the bars, "They were very anxious about you and the curse."

The Queen strode forward pushing me right out of her way as she came up the bars of the cell, "What did you tell them?"

"The truth," explained Rumplestiltskin, "That nothing can stop the Darkness. Except, of course, their unborn child. You see, no matter how powerful, all curses can be broken.

"Their child is the key," I said, "The light in the dark if you will."

"Nicely put Jack. Of course the curse has to be enacted first." Rumplestiltskin said.

"Tell me what I did wrong," demanded the Queen.

"For that, there's a price." He said.

"What do you want?" asked the Queen.

"Simple. In this new land, I want comfort; I want a good life, for me and for Jack."

"Fine. You'll have an estate. Be rich." Agreed the Queen.

"I wasn't finish. There's more."

"There always is with you."

"It is his curse, he made it." I said coming forward, "Least you can do is do this for him."

"Quiet boy," said the Queen pushing me back into my hole, luckily for my bones I was able to cast a spell to keep me from crashing down.

"In this new land," continued Rumplestiltskin unfazed by my comment, "should I ever come to you for any reason, you must heed my every request. You must do whatever I say, so long as I say please."

"You do realize that should I succeed, you won't remember any of this?" said the Queen calmly.

"Oh, well, then, what's the harm?" questioned Rumplestiltskin.

"Deal." Answered the Queen, "What must I do to enact this curse?"

"You need to sacrifice a heart." He explained.

"I sacrificed my prized steed." Said the Queen.

Rumplestiltskin reached out from the cell and wrapped a hand around the Queens neck, "A horse? This is the curse to end all curses. You think a horse is gonna do?" I sank deep into the hole, for some reason I was scared that heart would be mine…how on earth would she get my heart? "Great power requires great sacrifice. The heart you need must come from something far more precious."

"Tell me what will suffice?" questioned the Queen.

"The heart of the thing you love most." He explained, I rose back out of the hole I was safe.

The Queen removed the hand from around her neck, "What I loved most died because of Snow White."

"Is there no one else you truly love?" asked Rumplestiltskin, "This curse isn't gonna be easy. Vengeance never is, dearie. You have to ask yourself a simple question. How far are you willing to go?"

The Queen leaned close to the bars, "As far as it takes."

"Then please stop wasting everyone's time and just do it." I said returning to digging.

"You know what you love," said Rumplestiltskin, "Now go kill it."

That's enough for now I decided and willed my mind to return back to the shop. Just in time for Da to return with some take out. "Anything happen while I was out?"

"Nope." I said taking one of the boxes, "Let's eat."

"You hear the most interesting things in such a short time, when you are out in town." Said Da.

"Like what?" I asked taking a bite of food

"Emma Swan, she was arrested." Explained Da.

I nearly choked on my food, "What?"

"She got arrested," continued Da, "Apparently she stole Henry's file at Dr. Hopper's earlier today. Building quite a reputation in town isn't she?"

"Yes I suppose she is." I said.

A few hours later my phone began to buzz in my pocket, I looked at the caller ID, it was Henry. "Hey Da, mind if I step out to take this?"

"Not at all." He answered.

I stepped outside before answering, "Hey Henry."

"I need you to meet me and Ms. Blanchard at the Police Station." Said Henry.

"Way to get to the point, there," I said, "Henry I am at work you cannot just expect me to just be able to leave, I have missed a lot of it already, my Da is going to get suspicious."

"Just ask your Dad if you can leave for an hour," said Henry, "Say you need to help me with my homework."

"My Da ain't no fool Henry," I said looking into the pawnshops window, "He will know I am lying."

"Just try," said Henry, "I'll see you at the station." He hung up.

I walked back into the shop, "Who was that?" asked Da.

"Henry," I said, here goes nothing, "He is wondering if I could go out and help him with his homework for a bit."

"That's fine, just make sure you get back before closing."

"Really I can go?" I questioned.

"Yes," said Da, "You and Henry have so few friends it is just nice to see you out with him."

"So you don't mind if I miss some work now and then." I said.

"As long as you are careful, I do not want any calls from the police, fire department, or the hospital," said Da, "And if I need you here you come right away."

"You got it." I said going out the door, "See ya later Da!"

A/N: Whooh another chapter upload! I want to make it known now so you do not question it later. Although it seems like Jack's memories are coming back quickly they are not these flashbacks only happen every once and a while…more on that as we continue. As I have been writing and planning I have noticed something…this story is going to be LONG! I mean I have written up to chapter 18 which is only like episode 4 in the entire series of OUAT….Oh well but still this is going to be long. I wanted Mr. Gold to be okay with Jack going out with Henry all the time for reasons to be revealed later (though if you are clever you may see what I am doing). Last authors note said that I had done a lot of planning for later, it is true I am going to write it down today but I have gotten ALL of jack's backstory figured out, even figured what fairytale character I am having him be eventually, (if OUAT reveals this character before I write that I will seriously cry!)Hope you all review and follow/fav!
