Heyyyy I'm back. So this is chapter 5. I know I haven't updated in like 3367798464 days but please forgive me? My exams have been rather tough and I just got down to doing this (every single author's excuse). So this was supposewd to be a long chapter to cover up for my absence but I decided to make it a shorter chapter coz of 2 reasons. One, I got lazy (no surprise there). Two, I decided to make the next chapter in a totally different format. I'll change a few things, but the most obvious will be that the point of views will no longer be just first person and it'll be third person. (if you don't know what that means go google). So yea.

P.S. I already changed some stuff in this chapter and coz I felt like the thoughts being in italic were a bit weird.

Ok. This is gonna be my last disclaimer coz i really don't have the patience for this kinda things anymore~ I DO NOT OWN BLEACH OR ANYTHING! THIS IS JUST A (VERY WILD) FIGMENT OF MY IMAGINATION. Ok I'm rambling. Hahaha (nervous laughter)

To MYMYTHEGREAT: Thanks for reviewing! You gave me the strength to continue with this story (that sounds so cheesy). I'm kinda thinking of pairing her with Kyouraku… (imagination runs wild again) hahaha. Don't worry I think I'm a weirder person than you.

On with the chapter!

Toshiro's POV

"Hinamori!" I screamed as Ichimaru's sword headed straight for her. Lying on the ground, I was powerless to intervene, and watched helplessly as the glinting sliver blade advanced on her.

"Clang!" Suddenly, the sword was stopped by a pure white, slightly translucent shield. That's… Bakudo no. 81, Danku… but I didn't even hear anything. No incantation, not even the name of the spell… and I don't sense anyone's reiatsu around here… what's going on?

"Hai, hai. Let's stop right there shall we?" A familiar voice rang out. Shogun-sama? Where the hell is she? I can't sense her presence anywhere.

"Hitsugaya-taichou. I'm here." I jumped. The voice came from right beind me. I swear there was nothing there like 5 seconds ago… where did she come from?

"Okay. Let's get everything sorted out shall we? Firstly, I would appreciate it if you would stop staring at me with those eyes. They're creepier than you think." She flopped down gracefully on the rooftop (how does one even do that) and yawned as she addressed Ichimaru.

"Hitsugaya-taichou!" I turned and found Matsumoto running towards me. "I saw hyorinmaru (A/N: is this how you spell it?) and rushed here as fast as I could but… who are you?" She asked shogun-sama. (A/N: again with the awkard name ugh somebody PLEASE suggest a better name)

"Who knows?" She said with a mysterious smile. "you're not supposed to know yet but I guess if you really want to know you can ask your captain~"

I sweatdropped. Sometimes I really find it hard to believe this is the most powerful person in soul society… she's even more childish than Matsumoto sometimes!

"Ara, Ichimaru-taichou. Did you really think you could slip away unnoticed?" Shogun-sama suddenly spoke out, sounding really creepy.

"My my. I was hoping you wouldn't notice." He replied with the same amount of creepyness (is that even a word)

She giggled. "I think I'll let you off this time hmm? If I find you assaulting another captain again I won't be so kind." The last sentence was said in a voice that sent shivers up my spine.

"Hai, shogun-sama~" he said before flash stepping away.

"Now, Matsumoto-fukutaichou. I'd rather news of my presence here not get out so fast, so if you would please not tell anyone about what happened here tonight, I will be very happy. What do you think?" The tone that she said it in, however, made it certain that it was anything but a request.

"Uh… hai" this was the first time I saw Matsumoto so hesitant.

"Thank you very much shogun-sama. But we will have to take our leaves here." I said. We have to get out of here before something explodes. The atmosphere is so tense.

"Mm. See ya~"

I quickly left with Matsumoto. When we got back to the ten division barracks, I breathed a sigh of relief. It was only then that I noticed how exhausted I was. All that tension must have taken a lot out of me… Wait. If I'm so drained, then what about Matsumoto? I looked at her and gasped. She seemed to be barely staying on her feet.

"Oi, are you okay?" I asked frantically. Her hair covered her eyes, leaving them in shadow. For a moment I was really worried. What if she's not okay?

"Heeeh Taichou it's not like you to be so worried about me~" I rolled my eyes. Nevermind… she's fine.

"Taichou. Who was that person just now?" her voice took on a more serious edge at that.

"I'm sorry Matsumoto. But I can't tell you now… maybe in the future after this entire thing blows over…"

General's POV

I mulled over the latest news. Her execution has been moved up again? Something about this whole fiasco just doesn't add up. Central 46 are really just a bunch of stuck up bastards so it's close to impossible for those tradition-loving slugs to not giving a prisoner time for her repenting something or another.

I closed my eyes and pinched the bridge of my nose. I couldn't have come back at a worse time could I? Anyway, they'll probably get ME to operate the sokyoku because without me doing it it'll be probably be a little unstable.

That aside, I hope Ichigo has finished with his bankai training. With his potential he should be have been able to do it by now.

I hope for his and all our sakes that he can put an end to this. Especially with them on the rise… we're going to need him more than ever.

A/N: ANDDDDD done! t was a super short chapter as I explained in the A/N at the start of the story. If you didn't read it I'll say it again. I'm making majorrr changes next chapter (which hopefully won't be another year). Bye!
