"Great you made it," said Henry as I approached him and Ms. Blanchard outside the Police Station.
"Yeah Da was surprisingly very understanding," I said, "He said it was nice seeing me out with a friend for a change. Hello Ms. Blanchard."
"Hello Jack." Said Ms. Blanchard, looking at her I automatically recognized her as Snow White.
"So what are we doing?" I asked, "Getting Emma out of jail."
"Yup," said Henry, "Ms. Blanchard agreed to pay the bail."
"Then let's go." I said opening the door. We flooded into the police station.
"Hey!" said Henry rushing ahead of us.
"Henry? Jack Gold?" questioned Sherriff Graham, "What are you two doing here?"
"His mother told him what happened." Explained Ms. Blanchard
"Of course she did." Said Emma.
"Henry called me, that's why I am here." I said.
Emma walked over to Henry, "Henry, I don't know what she said…"
"You're a genius." Said Henry
"What?" exclaimed Emma.
"She is?" I questioned at the same time. She stole from Dr, Hopper and got caught, not exactly a work of genius.
"I know what you were up to," explained Henry, "You were gathering Intel. For Operation Cobra.
"I'm sorry, I'm a bit lost," said Sherriff Graham.
"It is need to know, Sherriff." I said.
"All you need to know is that Miss. Blanchard is gonna bail her out," continued Henry.
"You are?" questioned Emma looking at Ms. Blanchard in shock, "Why?"
"I trust you," said Ms. Blanchard simply. Must be her motherly instincts I thought to myself.
"Well, if you could uncuff me," said Emma, "I have something to do."
Sherriff Graham unlocked Emma's hand cuffs, after Ms. Blanchard handed him the bail money. We exited the station, Henry and I went of separately from the two adults. "Your mother definitely knows something." I said, "It cannot be more of a coincidence that Emma seems to be causing issues here in town when she has only been here for a day or two."
"I think your right." Said Henry, "Which means Operation Cobra must be going smoothly."
"Oh Henry, I figured out how the Evil Queen enacted the curse." I said.
"Really how?" asked Henry excitedly.
"I induced a memory," I said, "The first time she tried to cast the curse, she failed. She came to see Rumplestiltskin, the original creator of the curse. He said she did not sacrifice a proper heart that she had to sacrifice the heart of the thing she loved most."
"Do you know what that was?" asked Henry.
"No." I said, "But Rumplestiltskin knew, he knew that deep down she was willing to kill anyone in order to enact the curse."
"No but it is something." Said Henry.
"Henry, I know Ms. Blanchard is Snow White and the Mayor is the Evil Queen but who else is who?"
"I have only figured out a few, Granny and Ruby are Red Riding hood and her Grandmother, Dr. Hopper is Jiminy Cricket, Marco is Geppetto." explained Henry.
"What about Rumplestiltskin?" I asked, "Who is he in town?"
"I do not know," said Henry, "But maybe you can figure it out before I can."
"Yeah, after all I was his lackey, I would know him best." I said.
"Listen tonight after my session with Dr. Hopper, lets go somewhere to discuss this further." Said Henry, "I have to go home to get some homework done."
"Alright," I said, "See you later then."
I went back to work and worked for hours straight. I went back and forth between cleaning the glass cases inside and out and some of rearranging merchandise. It was a few hour before closing time when Da told me that we were closing early for the night.
I was first outside of the shop, when Da came out a few seconds later locking the door behind him I look at him curiously. "Why are we closing early?"
"Oh I have some business with the Mayor tonight," explained Da, "Besides I believe you have plans tonight."
"I do not have plans." I said.
"Hey Jack!" called Henry from across the street, he was with Emma. He waved at me to come over.
"Go ahead, I told you that you have plans." Said Da.
"How did you?" I began to ask but Da was already walking away. I walked over to Henry and Emma, "How is it going?"
"Good." Said Henry, 'Want to go get some ice cream with us?"
"Sure." I said.
"I did not know we were going to go get some ice cream." Said Emma.
"Well we do have to fill Jack in don't we?" said Henry.
"Fill me in on what?" I asked.
"We need to throw my mom off our trail." Said Henry as we walked to the ice cream parlor, "So we need to act like non-believers of the curse at least around her."
"Who came up with that?" I asked as we walked into the parlor.
"Emma did." Explained Henry, "She burned the final pages so that my mom will not find out about them."
"Genius." I said, 'Well done Emma."
"Thanks." Said Emma meekly. We ordered our ice cream and ate in peace, celebrating our victory. "Hey either of you know that girl over there?"
I looked at who Emma was pointing to, she was my age with teal eyes and ginger hair, I found her a little cute to be honest with myself, "Oh that is Kristalyn Drifa, her parents own the parlor," I explained, "Why?"
"Because she has been staring at you since you walked in here," said Henry.
"Really do you think she heard about Cobra?" I asked turning away from her.
"No," said Henry, "I don't think so."
A/N: Fantastic News, I am up to chapter 20 of writing which by my calculations of my writing means the half way point of episode 4! On Another note We are now done with episode 2 as of this chapter! YAY for progress. I would like to introduce our newest character Kristalyn Drifa (If you can guess who she is you get a virtual brownie sundae…hint her name is a clue), more on her will be coming up in the next few chapters, all I will say now is that she is important to Jack and his back story. Fun Fact I originally had her to be a blonde but I found that there needed to more redheads in QUAT (I am not a ginger for the record). Welcome to our newest follower Boyz, yes I plan on keeping up this story (it tends to write itself, so fairly easy to write). Want an opinion folks, as this story will be SUPER LONG I think I came up with a solution, I break it up into Seasons (According to QUAT), for example this story would be Jack's Deal Season 1.
