Chapter Nineteen - Life at the Dursleys
Prongslet, Are you alright?! Owl me as soon as possible. If I do not get a reply before morning Moony won't stop me, I'll come give those sons of a bitches a thought of my mind and we will go to New Zealand (still think it would be so cool there!)
Moony reassures me that your patronus is top notch and I wouldn't ever want to question your abilities, but honestly, that weird bullying cousin of yours does deserve to live I guess. I just don't trust your uncle, HE IS THE BIGGEST-
Harry, it's Moony here, Padfoot is going crazy, I am keeping him here and safe don't worry. But please tell us that you are indeed okay. Otherwise, I will not even bother keeping pads in bay and join him myself.
YES INDEED HE WILL AND WE WILL GIVE THOSE SONS OF A BITCHES WHO CALL THEMSELVES A MINISTRY OF MAGIC A RUN FOR THERE MONEY AND-
Okay bye cub, owl us before sundown please. Pads will be okay. See you soon!
Moony
and a howling dog who is at the moment attacking the poor strawberries I planted yesterday
Dear Padfoot and Moony,
I am okay! Don't you dare come, please stay safe!
And yes I had this professor in third year who was the most brilliant ever in existence so me and my useless cousin are okay. Though it is quite fun to see him lose his mind. Aunt is fuzzing over him as we speak, I wonder how annoyingly overprotective she will become now, God that would be funny to see. I have locked myself in my room, so at the moment uncle is not able to get to me. Meaning I am fine!
Can't wait to see you both!
Miss you lots
One week at the Dursleys had passed, and life was not great. He couldn't complain about it too much though. It felt freeing to be gone from the frightful walls of his once home at Hogwarts, and the Dursleys often just ignored him completely. He didn't get much food, but Harry wasn't hungry anyway.
It was nice to walk outside, just see the simple lives of families, children or lovers pass by in the park. It made him feel a bit calmer.
And thus, this is what he did, day in and day out he would walk around the neighbourhood, sit in the fresh cutten grass that reminded him of flying and the nights at the lake. It was also better to be away from his uncle. He was not happy, not that he ever was, but Harry's numbness was not appreciated, and he kept looking for some fear in his eyes. This turned into more beatings, but the feeling of pain felt good to Harry, feeling so much again and punishing himself for letting all this happen, letting Cedric die. It was how it was supposed to be. The days in the park were better though.
Then the dementor incident happened.
Harry was surprised he could still summon his Patronus, but the idea of living with Sirius and going to New Zealand helped, as well as the calmness he felt when sitting at the lake with his back to the tree eating his treacle tart. It didn't matter, he was just glad that Prongs came. Walking back to the house with Mrs. Figg and a really heavy Dudley, he started to get really afraid of what was to wait for him back home. When Mrs. Figg told him to stay put and people would come help him, he got so angry in his head. Why did everyone keep telling him to stay at this horrible place he is supposed to call 'home'. And what people would come for him? This scared him, who could he trust? Sirius didn't even trust Dumbledore's people completely.
Unfortunately, it was as he feared.
