Chapter Twenty-Two - Concerned
Dear Potter,
I am starting to get concerned for your safety. Are you certain you are all right? I feel that you are someone who supresses their feelings with humour, quite concerning, and not very smart or sophisticated.
While I am happy you are able to stay with this 'Padfoot', I still feel like there is a strong possibility that there will be a headline on the Daily Prophet soon that goes something like 'Saviour saved after trying to live with imaginary friend.' Just so I have the ability to say 'I told you so' when this happens. Strong likelihood, very strong.
Just know that I am not an imaginary friend, and you can always talk to me.
With esteemed regards,
D. L. Malfoy
Dear Potter,
I heard of your expulsion. Is that the reason you have not yet replied to my letter? Or have you genuinely ended up in the gutter? Do let me know. I heard Dumbledore will be defending you at your trial, to defend the Golden Boy of course. I wonder if he would do the same for any other student. Probably not. Barbaric truly.
Good luck.
With esteemed regards,
D. L. Malfoy
Dear Potter,
While I understand that a Golden Boy such as you might have a busy life, I am failing to see your reasons of not answering my letters. It is quite rude and unpolished. Now I would never do this, and so I fear you are unaware of basic letter writing etiquette once again.
It is considered mandatory to answer a letter once someone sends you one.
Now. I will be awaiting a reply. No, there is not a good excuse for not responding to my letter for almost a week.
... There just is not.
With irritated regards,
Malfoy
Potter,
This is just plain rude. I hope you are all right, but I must give up on our letters as you are not replying. Mother has always taught me it is unwise for a young man such as me to keep problems that are not an immediate concern out of my way, as it makes me get wrinkles way too soon. I won't get wrinkles over you Potter.
Good luck with your further summer. I will see your Scarface at school again.
With regards,
Malfoy
