Ch 6

It was an early morning as Trunks had just gotten home from his run. As he made his way inside, he heard voices in the living room. He came in to see Valese discussing wedding plans with Goten, who was barely awake. What surprised him the most is Devin tagging along.

"What are you doing here Devin?" Trunks asked. "Don't you have better things to do then be a third wheel?"

"Oh Briefs, you're so funny. I'm here to support my sister of course."

"Isn't it a little to early for you to be starting a fight?" said Valese as she stood in front of her brother. "This is supposed to be a time of happiness and love, and you're ruining it for me."

Trunks looked to Goten on the couch, who had fallen asleep on the couch. "Looks like he's not the only one," Trunks said as Valese woke up her fiancée."

"Oh uh sorry Valese," said Goten. "I don't usually wake up this early."

"No, really?" smiled Trunks.

"Shut up Trunks," Goten said as he got off the couch.

"You know that will all change once you married," said Devin. "My sister will be the boss."

"You talk about it like it's a business relationship. We are talking about husband and wife right?" said Trunks. "A partnership, not a dictatorship."

"Sure Briefs, whatever you say," said Devin. "All I know is that my parents got married because it was a good business move. They brought together two successful companies into one super company."

"That's an old and outdated way to marry," said Trunks. "There's the love and deep respect for one another?"

"Trunks has a point. I mean his parents are in love, and you can see how much respect and devotion they have for each other. It's impressive considering their relationship started out turbulent. At least that's what I use to hear from Trunks' grandparents."

"It's interesting you talk about love. I mean I'm pretty sure your best friend Trunks has loved many women in his lifetime," said Devin.

"What's he talking about Trunks?" asked Goten,

"Sex has nothing to do with love," said Trunks. "I've slept with many women, but I've never disrespected them. They knew my intentions from the start unlike you and your reputation with women and men."

"Devin, you're bisexual?" asked Valese.

"What can I say? I love people," said Devin.

"You don't love people. You only love yourself Rex," said Trunks.

"Will you to stop this. You're upsetting Valese," said Goten.

"I'm sorry Valese," said Trunks.

"My brother's an ass," she smiled. "I understand."

"Well I look forward to getting to know you better so I can understand why Goten likes you so much."

"Sounds great so we have a lot to do today. We should get started."

"I guess going back to sleep is out of the question?" Goten asked.

The day had been long and boring to Trunks, and he was glad it was over. Time spent with Valese had made Trunks realize how shallow and fake she really was. He couldn't understand why his best friend was so interested in her. What he was really surprised by was Devin's behavior around the couple. When Valese was talking about some nonsense, he could sense Goten was listening but Devin's eyes were on Goten's ass. 'What a pervert?'

Sliding out from under one of his inventions, he stood up to see his sister Bulla and her boyfriend Uub. "Uh, hey Bulla, Uub, is there something I can help you with?"

"Are Valese and Devin going to be coming around more often?" asked Bulla.

"Well Goten's staying here until he marries so I'd have to say yes. Why?"

"I love Goten like a brother, but those two are awful. I mean Valese has always been mean to me, and her brother will hit on and sleep with anything that moves. What's even more weird is Devin's crush on Goten," said Bulla.

"How do you even know that?" asked Trunks.

"I dated Devin's best friend for a little while. Anyway he told me that Devin use to bully Goten in high school, a lot and the only reason he did was because he liked Goten. Devin kind of had a little obsession with Goten."

"Why didn't Goten tell me about being bullied?"

"He was probably embarrassed, but I don't think Goten ever suspected Devin's crush," said Bulla.

"I wouldn't even call it a crush Bulla. If you know anything about Devin Rex, it's when he finds someone that peaks his interest, he doesn't stop until he sleeps with them and dumps them in the morning."

"Now, I really hate that guy," said Bulla. "Poor Goten doesn't even have a clue."

"Maybe we should tell him," suggested Uub.

"Tell me what?"

"Ah!" yelled Bulla as she clutched her boyfriend. "Goten, don't do that! How much did you hear?"

"You wanted to tell me something," said Goten.

"Devin wants to have sex with you," said Bulla bluntly.

"BULLA!" yelled Trunks and Uub.

Goten blushed. "That's impossible. The guy bullied me in high school. There's no wa—

"You know how the girl bullies the boy when she likes him? Well it's similar to that," said Bulla.

"So, that's why he's been hanging around Valese and I?" said Goten.

"You better make it clear to him that you're not interested in any way whatsoever," said Trunks. "And I got your back to, you know that. If he gets out of line," he smirked, "I don't mind punching him in the face."

"You know I could tell you've been wanting to do that to him for a long time now," Goten laughed.

"So, did they go home?" asked Bulla.

"Yeah, Valese had some things she wanted to go over with her mother."

"Who has a crush on Trunks," Bulla laughed. "The woman is practicably in heat every time she sees him."

Everyone laughed at Trunks, who just blushed as he left the room.
