Chapter 8 – His Mother
Blossom Pov.
"Blossom." I heard a voice called my name.
"Blossom." It repeated. I was waiting for another calling, but this time warm hands gentle grab on to my shoulders.
My eyes immediately open to face a pair of green eyes.
"Finally you woken up. It's time to head back, it's already dark." Buttercup told me.
I looked around, with my fuzzy vision, to see that everyone was waiting for me.
"Sorry, guys. I guess the sugar knock me out." I said with a small smile as I got up from the bench.
During the walk, all I could think of was my dreams. I wondered to the mysterious guy all the way to the delicate pink butterfly. But all end to conclusion, that the lady in my dreams is a person I know best. Who would I know best?
"Hey, are you okay? I heard Brick whisper right next to me.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I was just thinking lately, that's all. It's not that important though." I told him with small smile.
"Oh, okay. If there's anything you need, feel free to ask me." He said.
"Thanks." I said.
Bubbles Pov.
Hearing my sister conversation in the back makes me smile a bit. I'm happy for her that she found a friend on her first day at school. Usually people don't go near Blossom at all because of her eyes, but I guess Brick understands her. They're similar to each other, yet so different in many ways.
I continue to walk quietly beside Boomer as I smiled to myself. I could tell that he was giving a weird look, which made me turn towards him. He's probably wondering why I was smiling to myself.
As I was about to open my mouth and say something, my green I sister beat me to it. "Hey, do you guys hear that?" She asked stopping in her tracks
We all end up stopping to and quietly listen. I heard a soft whimpering cry. I turn towards the crying sound to spot a little boy around five crying on the side walk.
I slowly made my way to him as the rest followed behind me slowly. "Are you alright?" I asked kneeling down to his level.
He shook his head no as tears continued to pour down. "Are you lost?" I asked him. He shook his head yes.
"M-m-mommy!" He cried.
I put my right hand gently on his shoulder. "It's alright; older sister will help you find your mommy." I told him with a small smile.
He shook his head as I grab his one of his hand. I then turn towards the other and gave them a nod. "We better hurry its late and you should be in bed, little bud." Butch said, as he came up and patted him on the head.
He wipes his remaining tears and nodded. We slowly once again made our way towards the school as we asked the little boy questions. "What's your name little bud?" Brick asked him.
He gently tugs on my hand. I lean down towards him as he whisper his name into my ear. "He said his name is Cam." I repeat what he told me.
"You're not much of a talker are you, Cam?" Blossom asked. A hint of pink flush on his cheek on his puffy cheeks.
As soon as the school was in sight, everyone started to walk a bit faster, except for me. My pace started to slow down for some reason. Things all round me started to look hazy. I closed my eyes for a second, and then opened them again. But as soon as I opened them, I knew that I was somewhere different. Everyone, everything that I was near earlier all disappear with a blink of my eyes. The sky was bright as in morning not dark anymore, as in night. "Mommy!" I heard a familiar voice yelled behind me.
"Oh baby! Didn't Mommy tell you to not go running around?" A lady suddenly appears in front of my eyes, as a familiar boy ran into her embrace.
They seem not to see me or sense me at all. Why is that? And for some reason, I'm not reacting at all. As the little boy followed his mother inside their house, my feet started to move on it's on and followed them as well inside.
Then once inside, the whole scene changed. The once bright morning was no more, but now a dark cloudy sky was shown through the window. Lighting stroke as the house bright a bit. There was a dark figure in the corner sobbing and crying in the emotionless room.
I slowly made my way to the figure, but as soon as I knew who it was, I covered my mouth from fear and shock. It was the lady, before, the little boy's mother. Cam's Mother.
Her once beautiful brown hair was no more; it was pitch black with white hair all over. Slowly, her crying and sobbing became laughter. I slowly moved backwards as a dark aura surround her.
I didn't know what to do. The only first thing that came to my mind was 'run'.
Buttercup Pov.
I felt something was wrong as soon as Boomer called out to Bubbles and no answer. Quickly, turn around and faced her.
Her face was pure shock and fear. "Bubbles. Bubbles!" I said as I shook her.
"Damn it, Bubbles!" I shouted.
I looked over at Blossom who was also at her side. She had a worried face on. Then I looked down at Cam, who was about to cry again. Boomer didn't know what to do but at least he was really close to her, just in case if she falls he will catch her. The rest of his brother gave us some space.
"Don't you guys thinks it's a bit too, quiet?" I heard Brick whispered behind me.
"I agree. This rode is always filled with a couple of cars driving." Butch said.
As soon as, Butch said that Cam break down crying again as he continued to hold onto Bubbles hand.
"Don't you guys thinks it's enough that Bubbles like this and now you're freaking scaring the little boy." I gritted my teeth at them, while choosing the right words to say in front the kid.
But then, everything turns quiet again. "Do you guys feel that?" Boomer asked.
"It's coming from the ground." Butch said.
The ground shook a bit at a time, like it was some type of movement. "It's like footsteps." Blossom whispered.
The closer it came the more, the more the ground shook. Then everything just stop.
Suddenly, I felt Bubbles cold hands shot to my wrist gripping it tight. I turned to face her once again, but this time she has tears running down her cheeks. "She's here. Cam's Mother is here! We need to run now!" Bubbles said. But as soon as she finished, I heard a dark laughing sound coming from the direction of the footsteps.
