Jaina had fought her whole life. She'd seen planets fall and loved ones die – so much pain, so much – and while she had been alone, tense, worried, shocked and devastated she had seldom been as scared as she was now.
"I'm not going," she told her mother.
Leia's gaze was understanding. "I'll tell Luke you're not feeling well."
Jaina dropped her head onto her arms. "He'll know anyway," she sighed. "I guess this is the only chance I get to watch an Imperial Inauguration Ceremony."
