Deceitful Romance

Ch. 25 Dinner Time

Author's Note: Thank you for all the wonderful reviews. They make me smile and write faster. This chapter is a little shorter but the next one will be longer. I am still planning 35 chapters. Thank you again.

Cindy

(Elizabeth's point of view)

I was very nervous. Tonight Jason and I would be having dinner with Sonny and Carly. I found myself pacing as I waited for Jason. Carly and I have had a lot of issues with each other. Now I am dating her best friend. I was sure she wasn't happy about that.

I wasn't as worried about Sonny. I wasn't sure how he felt. He seemed supportive. He had always been nice to me. And the night Lucky died he held me up. I would never forget that.

Jason picked me up on his bike. He was wearing his normal clothes. I was wearing my black jeans and red tank top along with my leather jacket. Jason told me I looked good. That made me smile. When we arrived Jason noticed I was shaking.

"What's wrong Elizabeth?" Jason asked me.

"It's just they are your best friends. Carly and I have never got along. I'm worried." I admitted.

"Don't be nervous. Carly knows how important you are to me. If she isn't on her best behavior we'll leave." Jason said.

"You talk about her like she's a kid sometimes. Okay let's do this." I said as Johnny came into our view.

"I'll let them know you're here." Johnny said.

"Relax it'll be fine." Jason promised squeezing my hand.

"Go on in." Johnny said giving me a supportive pat on the back.

"Hello welcome." Sonny said smiling.

"Thank you for having us." I said politely.

"I need to go check on the sauce. Carly and Michael should be down in a minute." Sonny said.

Jason and I sat down on the couch. I saw pictures on the fireplace. There was one of a woman who was obviously Sonny's mother. There was another one of Lily his wife who had died. Another picture was of Robin and Stone. Then the last picture was a new one it was of Sonny, Carly, and Michael. Jason smiled as he noticed me looking at the pictures.

A few minutes later Carly and Michael came down. Carly was a little quiet but polite. She hugged Jason. Then Michael hugged Jason and then came over to me. Michael and I had got to know one another when he and Carly lived at the Quatermine's. Michael was talking a mile at minute.

"I have some appetizers. It's deep fried tortellini with fresh tomato sauce." Sonny said as he brought them out.

"Give me I'm starving." Carly said.

"Wow Sonny that's amazing." I said as I ate mine.

"Daddy I love it." Michael said hugging Sonny around his legs.

"It is good." Jason said smiling at them.

Dinner was awesome. Carly was even nice. She started talking more. She asked me about school. She also asked about my art. Then she shocked us all by asking if I could do a mural for the nursey. I quickly agreed. Carly smile but then yelped loudly. We all turned.

"Are you okay?" Sonny asked Carly concerned.

"Give me your hand. Feel the baby." Carly said to Sonny.

"That's our baby." Sonny said softly.

"I want to feel." Michael said.

"Come here Buddy." Carly said.

"Cool." Michael shouted.

"We have some news." Sonny said as he brought dessert in.

"I want to tell them." Carly said.

"Fine then tell them." Sonny said.

"Sonny asked me to marry him. I said yes." Carly said.

"Congratulations that's great." I responded.

"I am so happy for both of you." Jason said hugging them.

Carly and I talked about wedding plans. We also talked about the mural for the nursery. Sonny and Jason took Michael to bed. Then they talked business.

At the end of the night Jason took me to Grams. I was going to spend the night with her. He pecked me again on the mouth. I was starting to wonder when I'd get a real kiss. I tried to be patient. I'm not known for my patients though.
