It was a warm summer evening in the Micelli household. Angela was in the living room working on her latest project, a back to school campaign. She was furiously scribbling in her notebook trying desperately to come up with a slogan for her client. She looked at what she had written and threw the notebook on the coffee table. Nothing was working! Everything she had written was garbage. She laid her head back and closed her eyes. Maybe if she took a few deep breaths she would come up with something.

'Ok Angela just relax. The right slogan is in there. Just think of the product.. The client wants you to concentrate on school supplies. Let's see there's notebooks, pens, pencils, scissors, markers ...' She sat back up and picked her notebook back up and reread what she had written.

'Okay, maybe there is something here that will work. Let's see we have:

Back To School! We Have Supplies That Will Make You Look Cool!

No, that's no good.' She chewed on her pen. 'Okay what about this one:

Our School Supplies Are All The Rage From Preschool To Teen Age!

'Well that's better, but not quite right…'

"Wait a moment! Wait a moment longer!" She could hear Tony singing from the kitchen where he was preparing them dinner.

There was that song again! Well it wasn't a song it was only a couple of lines but she could never figure out where it came from. It was just something he would sing while he was cleaning or cooking or just walking around the house. For some reason she had never asked him where he got the lines from. She didn't know why. Maybe she was either busy or had other things on her mind. But she had always been curious so she decided to take a break from her work and ask him. She got up off the couch and went into the kitchen.

"Tony?"

Tony turned from the stove where he was stirring his spaghetti sauce.

"Well hey there beautiful! Taking a break?"

"No. Well yeah. But I wanted to ask you something. "

"Ask away." Tony put the sauce on simmer and sat down at the table. Angela sat down beside him.

"It's that song you keep singing. Well not a song it's only a couple of lines but you have been singing it for years and I was just wondering where it is from?"

"What song-well lines are you talking about?"

"Wait a moment-wait a moment longer."

"Oh that."

"Yes that. So where is it from?"

Tony felt his face get all red. He had made up the lines years ago when he had first started having feelings for her. He somehow knew in the back of his mind they would someday be together but he wasn't ready at the time. So he would sing the lines as a way of telling himself that one day he would be with the woman of his dreams. It was a promise he had made to himself and to her that they were meant to be together-even if it did take nearly a decade.

"Okay, I guess I better tell you. See the thing is when I started having feelings for you I would sing those lines to myself as a way to convince myself that one day we would be together."

"You sang, you had to wait a moment longer?" Angela asked, her face scrunching up in confusion.

"Well yeah. You see, I knew I wasn't ready to be with you in the past. We-well okay mostly I had a lot of things we had to work through. So I would sing it to myself. It was like I don't know some kind of security."

"Security?"

"Well okay maybe security is the wrong word. Maybe promise is a better one. But, I just had a feeling that someday we would be together but until then I would sing it as a way of holding on until then."

"Tony, I hate to tell you this but you waited more than a moment!"

Tony sighed. "I know."

"And we're together now. So why are you still singing it?"

"Gee I don't know. Maybe I'm just used to singing it? It's sort of like a habit or something. Or maybe I still can't believe we're together and married." he shrugged. "If you want me to stop I will."

"Oh no. You don't have to do that. I mean now that I know why you have been singing it all these years it's actually kind of flattering. "

"It is?"

Angela smiled. "Yeah, You were singing it for us. And okay it did take more than a moment - a lot more than a moment but it obviously worked because look where we are now."

Tony picked up her hand and kissed her palm. "We are right where we are meant to be."

"That we are." They leaned forward and gave each other a quick kiss.

'Okay! Now that that mystery has been solved I guess I better get back to work.'

"Yeah, and I better get back to fixing dinner. "

They both got up from the table and Tony went back to stirring the sauce while Angela went back into the living room. She sat down on the couch and picked up her notebook and read through what she had written.

"Okay these aren't too bad I guess. It just needs more."

"Wait a moment. Wait a moment longer!" Tony sang from the kitchen. "Although I don't have to wait a moment anymore because I'm married to the woman of my dreams!"

Angela giggled at the added lines.

"And I know she's giggling right now because she's cute and endearing."

Angela laughed and rolled her eyes. This was almost as sweet and corny as his Ode To Angela poem he had written her. She got up off the couch and went back into the kitchen.

"So you decided to add more lines?" she smiled and sat down.

"Well you had a good point earlier. We are together now and I no longer have to wait a moment longer to be with you."

"No, you don't."

Tony smiled and fixed them both a plate of spaghetti. He put the breadsticks in a basket and set everything on the table. Angela got up and got the pitcher of iced tea from the refrigerator and poured them both a glass. They sat back down and began eating.

"So how's the campaign going?"

Angela sighed. "I don't know. I have some slogans that I guess are okay.'

"Hey, if they come from you they're more than okay."

Angela smiled. "You always know just what to say."

"That I do. You just need to believe in yourself. The right slogan is in there."

"You're right. It is."

"Yeah, I mean look at me. All these years I've been singing: Wait a moment. Wait a moment longer because I knew someday we would be together. You just have to have that same belief."

"Thanks honey. I just hope though I don't have to wait a moment longer to come up with something." she smirked, giving him a cheeky grin.

"Hardy Har Har." he grinned back and leaned forward and kissed her on the cheek.
