Cindy

(Jason's point of view)

Its two days before Sonny and Carly's wedding. Sonny and Carly got the whole wedding planned in just a week. I was to be best man. Sonny was teasing me because I had yet to ask Elizabeth to be my date.

I tried explaining that I was taking things slow. He just smiled. I wanted to take my time. I can't screw up. This is too important. She is too important.

"You can leave. We aren't busy. Go find your girl. Ask her to be your date." Sonny hinted again.

"I will bye. And butt out." I said as I heard him laugh.

"Elizabeth?" I yelled as I arrived at an empty Kelly's.

"She's already left." Penny said.

"Do you know where she was heading?" I asked.

"Not sure Johnny picked her up." Penny said.

"Thanks." I said.

"Hey is he single?" Penny asked as I quickly left.

I was curious why Johnny took her home. When I arrived at the studio it was dark. She obviously wasn't there. I called Emily. She hadn't seen her. Then I called Johnny. He didn't answer. Next I decided to try Audrey's.

"Hello Jason." Audrey said.

"Is Elizabeth here?" I asked.

"You just missed her." Audrey answered.

"Do you know where he is going?" I asked.

"She said she was going to work on the nursery with Carly." Audrey said.

"Thank you." I said as I left.

When I arrived at the Pent House Johnny and Francis were both outside. They said that Sonny took Michael to the park with Max. I went inside. As I walked upstairs I could hear Elizabeth and Carly talking.

"He hasn't asked me to the wedding yet." Elizabeth said.

"I think you scare him. You're so young and have a whole life ahead. He doesn't want you to get hurt or even killed because of him." Carly said.

"It would hurt more to be without him. When he left I lost it. I felt my hear break into pieces." Elizabeth admitted.

"He only came home because of you. I know you and I will never be best friends but thank you so much." Carly said.

"He would've come home anyway." Elizabeth said.

"For you not us." Carly said.

"What's going on in here?" I asked as they both turned around.

"We decided on a theme for the nursery." Carly answered.

"It's going to be flowers and butterflies." Elizabeth said.

"What if it's a boy?" I asked confused.

"The baby is a girl." Carly answered.

"Oh okay." I said not sure what to say.

"Elizabeth is doing a full mural on that wall." Carly said pointing to the largest wall.

"It's going to be butterflies and flowers with sky and a field." Elizabeth explained.

"Sounds great." I said knowing it would be beautiful.

"I'll be back." Carly said as the phone rang.

"Hi." I said to Elizabeth.

"Hi yourself." She responded.

"I was wondering if you would be my date for Sonny and Carly's wedding?" I asked quickly.

"I'd love to." She answered hugging me.

[Wedding Day]

I was best man so I had to be at the church early. I was worried it would be too early for Elizabeth and that she wouldn't want me to pick her up. She just laughed when I brought it up. She said she actually wanted to get to the church early. She had a very special gift for Carly. It was a painting of Sonny and Michael holding hands.

"You look beautiful." I said to Elizabeth.

"Thank you. Carly actually saw this dress and called me. She said that the dark purple looks good on me." Elizabeth responded.

"I agree." I said as she blushed.

"I'm ready when you are." Elizabeth said grabbing her purse.

"Yeah we should get going." I said.

When we arrived at the church we parted ways. I went to find Sonny in the groom's room. Elizabeth was going to the bride's room to give Carly her gift. I smile a little as I saw Michael running around with Leticia running after him.

I was glad that both Sonny and Carly had found love. Though I admit I never thought they would find it together. Especially since they hated each other. I guess that it's true that there is a thing line between love and hate.

"Are you nervous?" I asked Sonny as we sat together.

"Yeah a lot more than I thought I was going to be." Sonny answered.

"You'll be fine. I'm really happy for you. You better take good care of her." I said.

"Thanks Jason that means a lot from you. I will and you'll be a phone call away when I need help?" Sonny asked.

"Always." I answered.

"Thank you for everything. I promise I will always take care of Carly, Michael, and our daughter." Sonny said.

"What do you need me to do?" I asked once Sonny was dressed.

"If you don't mind there is one thing. Would you give Carly her gift and check on her. Make sure she isn't leaving." Sonny answered.

"Isn't that normally your role?" A voice teased as Bobbi came into view.

"I'm not going anywhere. I love her." Sonny said.

"I know you do." Bobbi said.

"I'll take this to Carly. And I'll check on Michael." I said leaving them to talk.

I could hear laughing as I got closer to the brides room. Carly was telling stories about her and Sonny. This one was about Sonny putting all the chips in the trash. I opened the door. Emily and my Grandmother had joined Elizabeth and Carly.

"Hello Jason." Grandmother said smiling.

"Hello." I said hugging her.

"Jas how is Sonny?" Carly asked seeming worried.

"He's fine. I promise. He actually sent me here to give you this." I answered.

She opened the letter first. She was reading. I saw a tear then she laughed. Then she started crying again. I was a little shocked. Then she smiled and began reading the letter out loud.

"Dear: Carly

I promise I will see you at the alter. No one has ever understood me like you do. Thank you for giving me love and a family. This is for you a coupon for one day of junk food. I also have this necklace. It is one of my few processions of my Mother's.

Love Always,

Sonny."

Carly finished as the room of women wiped tears from their eyes. I hugged Carly. Then Michael came in. He greeted everyone.

"Momma I saw Daddy he said it's time to walk you down the aisle." Michael said.

"I should go." I said.

"Thank you Jason love you." Carly said.

"Love you too." I responded.

"Bye Jason." Grandmother and Emily said as they went to take their seats.

"Good luck." Elizabeth said.

"Thanks." I said kissing her on the cheek before leaving.

A short time later Sonny and I took our places. Father Coates nodded at us. Then the music changed. It was a beautiful Spanish song. As Bobbi walked down the aisle I saw Elizabeth sitting with Emily, Nikalos, and the Quatermaines. I was shocked to see most of the town in attendance.

I looked over at Sonny as Carly and Michael walked towards us. He had tears in his eyes. Carly did as well. Michael kissed his Mom's cheek and then hugged Sonny before going to sit with Mike.

The ceremony was short. I couldn't help sneaking peaks at Elizabeth. She smiled as I caught her eye. After the wedding Bobbi and I had to stay for pictures along with Mike and Michael. Then we all rode in the limo to the reception.

When we arrived people were already eating. Sonny and Carly were announced. Then they had their first dance. Elizabeth waved me over. She was sitting with Nikalos, Emily, Audrey, and Steven.

After we all ate then people started dancing. Nikalos asked Emily to dance. My Grandmother waved me over. I wasn't looking forward to going to the Quatermaine table but I would do anything for her. After a quick hello to everyone Grandmother said I should ask Elizabeth to dance.

Finally a slow song came on. I took a deep breath and asked Elizabeth to dance. She quickly accepted. I held her tightly. I pulled back to look at her. She smiled brightly.

"I love this song." Elizabeth said.

"It doesn't really make sense. How could you love someone before you met them?" I asked.

"I don't know." Elizabeth said.

"You're beautiful." I said.

"I knew I loved you before I met you." Elizabeth sung.

The song changed yet we kept dancing. Elizabeth laughed as we danced. I was actually listening to the song. It made for a prefect song. The song was Beauty and the Beast. I may not look like a Beast on the outside but on the inside is a different story all together.

"I like this song." I said.

"This song is from a movie." Elizabeth said laughing.

"What movie?" I asked knowing I hadn't seen it. I don't watch many movies.

"Beauty and the Beast." She answered.

"Oh we should watch it sometime." I said.

"It's a date." She responded giggling.

"It's time for the bouquet toss." Bobbi said interrupting us.

"Where's Em?" Elizabeth asked looking around.

"I'll go find her." I offered.

"Oh Nikalos I hope my wedding is this beautiful." I heard Emily say.

"It will be even better my Princess." Nikalos said before kissing her.

"It's time for the bouquet toss." I yelled as they jumped apart.

"Oh come on Nikalos." Emily said grabbing his hand.

"You go ahead Nikalos and I are going to have a talk." I said.

"It's fine Babe go on." Nikalos said as she walked away slowly looking back at us worried.

"My sister is only 17." I said.

"I know that." Nikalos said.

"Don't play games with her. She loves you. She has for a long time." I said.

"I love her too Jason. It just took me a little longer to realize it. Then I thought I had lost my chance." Nikalos explained.

"You're a lot older." I said.

"Actually there is more age difference between you and Liz." He said.

"Elizabeth isn't a minor. If you hurt my sister they will never find your body." I threatened.

"Same goes for you Jason. Liz is like a sister to me. I have money I'll hire the best to hunt you down." Nikalos said.

"Do we have a deal?" I asked.

"Yes." Nikalos said sticking his hand out for me to shake.

Carly found us a few minutes later. She forced me onto the dance floor. She yelled for me to catch the garter. I watched as Sonny took it off Carly's leg. Then Sonny flung it at me.

I caught it. I was told I would dance with whoever caught the bouquet. I frowned. I didn't want to dance with anyone but Elizabeth. Then I saw Elizabeth moving closer she had the flowers in her hand much to my relief. We danced while everyone watched us.

After the dance Carly asked me to dance with her. I agreed while Elizabeth went to dance with Sonny. I watched as they talked. Carly then told me that toasts and cake was next. I hadn't written anything. I hate to speak in public. I would for them though.

I gave a short toast to my two best friends. I wished them the best. Then Bobbi gave her toast. Lastly Mike gave a toast. Then we all had cake after Carly smashed it in Sonny's face.

Before I knew it the night was ending. After telling everyone goodbye Elizabeth and I left. When we arrived at the studio I noticed Elizabeth smiling but her eyes looked sad. Suddenly I realized why. I had this weird flutter in my stomach.

"Can I kiss you?" I asked.

"A real kiss?" Elizabeth asked back.

"Yes." I simply answered.

"Then yes you can." She said as I kissed her.

"Amazing." She stuttered as we pulled away to breath.

"I agree." I said kissing her again before leaving.
