CHAPTER 3: BLAKE'S REVENGE; VIOLET'S ENTERTAINMENT
The night of the party had arrived, and sure enough, most everyone was there. Violet had made Pig Pen the DJ for the event so he wouldn't kick up his dust as he usually did. Everyone was having a good time. Outside the house, Blake waited in his car a few blocks away. He saw Charlie Brown's car pull in. He got out and went to the passenger's side door, to let Tracy out. Blake's blood began to boil, but Violet told him she'd call when it was time, so to let them let their guard down when they thought it would be safe to let loose.
As Charlie Brown and Tracy went in, Violet greeted them.
"Tracy, darling, so good to see you," she said with her best shit-eating grin.
"Hello, Violet," Tracy said, coldly.
"Charlie Brown," Violet said to her adversary, regarding him.
"Violet," Charlie Brown responded back. At least she was treating him with a shred of respect, for now.
"Well, enjoy the party, you two," Violet finished. "I need to see about the snacks." And Violet went towards the kitchen.
"Pig Pen is doing a good job as DJ," observed Charlie Brown.
"You want to dance?" asked Tracy.
"S-Sure!" And Charlie Brown and Tracy joined the others on the dancefloor. Their friends saw the two doing a good job dancing together.
"Smooth moves, Charlie Brown!" said Schroeder.
"Nice!" added Franklin.
"Get down, Charlie Brown and Tracy!" said Shermy.
Meanwhile in the kitchen, Violet was on her cell phone with Blake.
"They're dancing together now," said Violet. "Oh yes, they're grinding each other on the dancefloor!" Violet was lying, but had to make it look good for the big payoff. "What are you- Hello? Blakey?" Violet smiled because she knew what was about to happen next. A girl with blonde hair walked in.
"So did he take the bait?" she asked.
"Oh did he ever," laughed Violet. "And ol' failure-face and Tracy is none the wiser!"
"This is gonna be good!" sneered the blonde. At that point, Patty, Violet's best friend walked in.
"What's gonna be good, you two?" she asked.
"Charlie Brown is about to meet the business end of Blake's fist!" laughed the blonde.
Turning to Violet, Patty asked, "Vi, what did you do?!"
"What else?" said Violet, smugly. "Set up Charlie Brown to fail."
"Not even Lucy would do a prank that despicable!" yelled Patty. "Pulling the ball away, okay, tripping him, sure, but never putting him in mortal danger from a jealous ex-boyfriend of a girl he's on a date with!"
But before Patty could stop Blake from doing whatever he was about to do, he burst through the door, and made a beeline towards Charlie Brown and Tracy.
"BLAKE!" gasped Tracy, seeing her ex.
"GOOD GRIEF!" shuddered Charlie Brown.
Blake wasted no time. He grabbed Charlie Brown by his shirt and raised him in the air.
"WHAT THE FUCK IS A LOSER LIKE YOU DOING WITH MY TRACY?!" he growled.
"Oh shit!" said one party goer.
"It's about to go down!" said another.
"Blake, Tracy and I are out as friends," pleaded Charlie Brown. "She asked me to be her date!"
"It's true, Blake!" said Linus, defending his best friend. "Ask Tracy herself."
"Stay out of this, Van Pelt!" yelled Blake. "This is between me and your dweeb best friend here!" Turning back to Charlie Brown he said, "I hear you've been grinding on the dancefloor with my property!"
"EXCUSE ME?!" hollered Tracy. "THIS RIGHT HERE! THIS IS WHY I BROKE UP WITH YOUR SORRY ASS IN THE FIRST PLACE! I AM NOT YOUR GODDAMN PROPERTY, BLAKE! WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO GET THAT THROUGH YOUR THICK SKULL?! OR HAVE YOU TAKN WAY TOO MANY BLOWS TO YOUR HEAD ON THE GRIDIRON?!"
"You lousy…" And Blake was about to strike Tracy, taking his eyes off Charlie Brown for a moment, when Schroeder, Shermy, and Franklin intervened.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you, Blake!" warned Franklin.
"You hit her, you deal with us!" added Shermy. Blake backed off. Turning his attention back to Charlie Brown, who was trying to leave, Blake stopped him before he could hit the door.
"BROWN!" he hollered. "I'll leave Tracy alone, but I'm not done with your sorry ass! COME HERE!"
Within an earshot of them as he was making his way back towards Blake, Charlie Brown heard Violet's blonde friend say to her, "Violet, getting Blake to teach Charlie Brown a lesson was a stroke of genius!"
"Was there any doubt?" asked a smug Violet.
He decided once he got out of this situation, he would have to deal with Violet later. Coming back to Blake, Charlie began to plead his case.
"Blake, I never tried to get in between you and Tracy!" he began. "She approached me! Not the other way around! And yes, we were dancing together, but we never grinded on the dancefloor!"
"He's telling the truth, Blake!" added Tracy. "I wanted a date for the party that wasn't you, so I asked him!"
"So you did this out of pity?" asked Blake. Charlie Brown looked at Tracy and nodded. He figured if she'd say yes, it would stop his rampage. Maybe.
"Yes, it was," Tracy said.
"Oh, this is good!" laughed Violet. Tracy turned her attention to the raven-haired troublemaker.
"The fuck did you say?!" Tracy said. "Did you plan this, Violet?! I know how much you hate Charlie Brown, it wouldn't surprise me if you had something to do with this!"
"Leave her alone, Trace!" said Blake. "She was just looking out for me, that's all." To Charlie Brown, that all but confirmed Violet's involvement in this. Blake was an unwitting participant in whatever Violet was cooking up for him.
"Oh, I'm sure she was," snarled Tracy. Turning back to Violet, she said, "I will deal with you later, bitch!"
"Ooh, I'm a-shaking in my boots!" giggled Violet.
"Are we done now?!" asked an impatient Blake. "I still need to teach shithead Brown a lesson here!"
"Blake, you heard her!" pleaded Charlie Brown. "She asked me to the party out of pity! You're not going to beat me up over that, are you?!"
"Okay, Brown," said Blake, seemingly calming down. "I will let you go on ONE condition…"
"Name it!"
"Strip! Right here! In front of everyone! Down to your drawers! You do that, I will spare you the ass whooping you truly deserve."
"You tell 'em, Blake, baby!" cheered Violet.
"Will you shut up!" said an angry Tracy. "You did enough damage for tonight!"
"You heard me, Brown," sneered Blake, with an evil grin. "All of your clothes, off!"
And Charlie Brown complied, tearfully, and did as told. Some of the party guests, barring Pig Pen, Shermy, Schroeder, Linus, Frieda, and Tracy, laughed at the spectacle. He handed Blake his clothes. Blake gave him back his keys, phone, and wallet.
"Violet," Blake said to the host. "Do you happen to have a plastic shopping bag?"
"I do, dearie," said Violet with a fake sweet-sounding voice. She went back to the kitchen.
"We're almost done, Brown," said Blake. "You will be free to go in a moment." Charlie Brown was inconsolable at that point.
"This is bullshit!" yelled Schroeder. "Okay, Blake, you had your fun! Now leave Charlie Brown alone!"
"Shut the fuck up, Klimt!" yelled Blake. "Like I told Van Pelt earlier, this has nothing to do with you!" Violet returned with a shopping bag and handed it to Blake.
"Thank you, beautiful," cooed Blake. Now Shermy, as Violet's boyfriend, was fuming.
"Seriously, Violet?!" he yelled.
Putting Charlie Brown's things, aside from his clothes, inside the bag, he then handed it to him. "Now, walk home. You can keep your shoes. I'm not that heartless."
"I have my car," cried Charlie Brown, meekly.
"Oh, about that. I kinda trashed your ride before coming in here. I don't think it's going anywhere but the wreckers. Violet, I'll take care of it when I get the chance."
"No hurries, baby," said Violet, sipping on a soda, nonchalantly.
"Now, Brown, you're dismissed."
And Charlie Brown started to leave the party, mortified.
"I'll come by later to see how you are, Charlie Brown," said Linus. Charlie Brown just gave him the saddest look ever. The he turned to see Violet grinning ear to ear.
"Have a good night, Charlie Brown," she said with the same sweet voice.
"I know you had something to do with this," he growled. "I don't know how or when, but you will pay for this!"
"YOU'RE NOT WALKING FAST ENOUGH, CB!" announced Blake. And Charlie Brown exited the house. As he walked home, nearly naked, Charlie Brown wondered what he did to Violet that was so bad she treated him like that. He also wondered if anyone still at the party called out either Blake or Violet for the incident. He was sure Tracy had something to say, as did Schroeder and Linus. He went by his car, he was horrified at what Blake did. The windows were smashed and tires slashed, as expected, but what shook him to the core was the amount of fecal matter placed on and around the car. Some dog, and some actually human. He took the keys out of the bag and opened the trunk slowly as so the turds would not drop inside. Luckily, he had a jacket he could wear. He put it on and he continued his trek back home.
