Games and mean names in the backseat

At some point through the long drive Prussia had climbed into the backseat with Romano. Canada hadn't given the action much thought, but he honestly should have realized that it was a terrible idea. It was Prussia and Romano after all.

The Italian was too tired to complain about the Prussian being in his space until he felt the other begin to poke him in the face. "What the hell are you doing bastard?"

Prussia looked down at his friend and poked him again. "Poking your face. Did you know that you have very squishy cheeks?" Romano glared and swatted his hand away. "Stop that idiot!" Prussia shook his head and continued to poke Romano's cheeks. "I'm really bored."

Lovino opened his eyes to glare at the albino. "That's not my problem!" Gilbert nodded. "It is your problem. I can't mess with Birdie, so you're the only one left to cure my boredom."

The Italian groaned. "What about Kumajiro, or your little bird." He suggested, closing his eyes again, and swatting Prussia's hand away.

"My bird has a name you know, and it's Gilbird, besides he's asleep, and I get the feeling that Birdie's bear doesn't like me all that much. He tried to bite me."

Romano scoffed. "Serves you right, I hope he bites your hand off."

"Kuma wouldn't do that," Matthew chimed in from the front. "He's too lazy to be aggressive."

"Besides I wouldn't be able to poke your cheeks if he bit my hand off." Prussia said as he poked Romano once again.

"That was kind of the point of the whole thing." The Italian grumbled, giving up on stopping the Prussian from poking him.

"Well that's just mean. Why would you want your best friend to lose his hand?" Romano looked at him. "When did I ever give any sort of indication that you were my best friend?"

Prussia rolled his eyes. "It's pretty obvious that I'm your best friend, I mean who else could it be. I can tell from the way that you act around me that you deeply value my position as your friend."

"That's bullshit! I definitely like Matthew more than you. He's not annoying and obnoxious."

Prussia pouted. "Sure Mattie is nice and all, but you actually like me more, right?"

Lovino shook his head. "Not at all, in fact if I were to make a list of people I enjoy hanging out with you would be at the bottom. Above Germany and France, but below Spain, and Matteo would probably be at the top."

Prussia frowned. "That's mean. I thought I was your best friend."

"I already told you that you are definitely not my best friend."

"You're just saying that because you're afraid of someone knowing how you really feel. Deep down inside of your heart you love me, and value my position as your closest friend."

Romano scoffed. "Bullshit! You can keep telling yourself that, if it makes you feel better, but it's definitely not true. I can hardly stand you, you're extremely annoying."

Canada sighed. "Can't we all just be friends and like each other equally."

"Aw don't be sad Birdie, I didn't mean to leave you out like that. I care about you just as much as I care about Roma." Prussia leaned forward and kissed Canada's cheek.

The Canadian rolled his eyes. "That's not what I meant; I was just saying that you two should stop arguing." He was growing a little tired of the constant bickering coming from his friends in the back seat. It wasn't all that annoying, but he didn't like to hear people arguing.

"I've been in the car with him for too damn long, it's impossible for me to avoid arguing with him." Romano pointed out.

"Well we're almost at the cabin, so could you guys try and get along for just a little bit longer?" Matthew asked hopefully. He loved spending time with his friends, but the two European nations argued like children far too often.

"Fine." Romano mumbled crossing his arms over his chest and looking out the window. Prussia just smirked and leaned closer to the Italian once again. "So Roma, will you play a game with me now?" Romano shot a venomous glare in his direction and shook his head. "No."

"Aw come on, Birdie said we should stop arguing, but we're still stuck in this car so we should try doing something at least a little interesting, right?"

Romano rolled his eyes. "…What game do you want to play?" The Prussian chuckled and rubbed at the back of his neck awkwardly. "Well I didn't think you would ever give in to the idea, so I didn't actually think of a game for us to play…" Romano face-palmed and groaned. "Gilbert, you're an idiot."

The Prussian pouted. "It's not that big of a deal, we can always think of a game. Why don't we play eye spy."

Romano looked at him. "That sounds like a terrible idea." Prussia sighed. "Stop being such a killjoy Roma, you'll see it'll be fun. I'll start." Romano groaned loudly, and Prussia ignored him. "I spy with my little eye something…red."

Lovino huffed. "Matthew's hoodie." The Prussian frowned. "No fair! How do you guess that so quickly?"

The Italian face-palmed. "Gilbert you really are an idiot. That hoodie is the only red thing around us. What else would I have guessed?" The albino looked around and hummed. "Huh I guess you're right…well anyways it's your turn."

"No, I'm not going to play. Do you even realize how idiotic this game is? It's not interesting unless you're five years old."

"Blasphemy." Prussia grabbed Romano's hand and smacked it. "Roma you really need to learn how to enjoy the simpler things in life. Back in my day! There was none of this fancy technology, all you could do was play I spy while waiting for the wolves to attack. Or you could play hide and go seek while you hid from the wolves."

"Bullshit!" Lovino snatched his hand away from the Prussian and glared. "Do you honestly think I would believe such a dumb story? Why are you even talking about wolves?"

"Because I was attacked by a pack of ravenous wolves back in my day!"

"Stop saying 'back in my day' like you're old or something."

"I am old you insensitive little brat!"

"Don't call me a brat you little piece of shit!"

"I'll call you whatever the hell I want!"

"Oh no the fuck you want!"

"Ha! Are you going to do something about it little Roma?"

"You're damn straight I'm going to do something about it you has been piece of sh-"

"Oh look we're at the cabin now!" Canada exclaimed, getting out of the car as quickly as possible. "Why don't all of us get out of the car and take a deep breath before someone gets killed." He opened the door and smiled at the two of them.

Romano grumbled something about annoying potato munching bastards before getting out of the car and taking a deep breath to calm down at least a little. Unfortunately, the brief moment of serenity was ruined by Prussia's loud voice, and invasion of his personal space. "Man! Isn't this place great?"

"Get off, asshole!" Romano shoved the Prussian away.

Prussia frowned. "This is a trip for the three of us as friends. You should be glad that I'm being friendly."

"Being friendly? Yeah right, you're just doing whatever you can to get on my nerves."

Canada sighed as they unloaded their things from the car and entered the cabin.

"That is not true, and I'm offended by your accusations."

Romano glared at him. "Just shut up." He grumbled to himself as he looked away from Gilbert, which led to him seeing the cabin Matthew had brought them to. "Wow…this place is really nice, Matteo."

The cabin was spacious, and had a comfy feeling to it. He'd honestly expected to arrive at some small little shack in the middle of the woods, but this was very different. He took a moment to take in the entire house.

Canada smiled a bit, mentally patting himself on the back for stopping the bickering with his lavish home. "I come out here fairly often, so I've made a few improvements to the place over the years." He'd been coming here for longer than he'd been staying in his actual house. "You guys are probably tired from the trip up here, so I can show you to the guest rooms."

Romano nodded, though he was still looking around the house quite a bit. It had a rustic feel to it, but was still modern somehow. He looked around, taking in the polished hardwood floors, and the few pictures Matthew had hanging on the wall. They were all photos of himself and his family, most of them contained Alfred, but there were also a few with France. The Canadian had very little pictures including England though.

Prussia followed Matthew up the wooden staircase to the second floor of the house with his bags in hand. Romano trailed behind slightly, with his own bags in tow.

Canada pointed out to bedrooms across from each other in the hall. "These are the guest rooms, I'll leave it up to you guys to find out who sleeps where. My room is just down the hall." He pointed to the bedroom he was referring to. "And the bathroom is right there." He pointed out this room before giving his friends a small smile. "I'll see you guys in the morning."

Romano nodded, taking the liberty of choosing which of the bedrooms he wanted to sleep in. "Thanks Matthew. Goodnight." He called over his shoulder before walking into the room.

Prussia smiled. "Yeah, thanks a lot for bringing us out here Birdie, I'll see you in the morning." He gave his Canadian friend a wave before going into the bedroom opposite Romano's, his pet bird flying in behind him.
