This is a short story based on characters that I do not own and references to established works.

As the doctors were in checking on Trina, an elated Spencer returned to the waiting area.

"She's awake! She's awake and she's talking!" Spencer told everyone in the waiting area. Sonny smiled and gave him a hug. He told Spencer to let him know if he needed anything. Since Trina appeared to be out of the woods, Sonny told Spencer that he was going to go home. Joss was next to bid Spencer good-bye. "Tell Trina that I'll come by to see her tomorrow." She gave Spencer a quick hug, while Dex extended his hand for a handshake. Spencer did not hesitate-he was so happy about Trina that he would have shaken hands with almost anyone. Before Marshall or Stella could respond to Spencer's news, they saw a glum-looking Curtis returning from Portia's office. They immediately went over to him. "Trina's fine, Curtis," Stella told him.

"I'm glad," he said weakly. "But, I've had enough of GH for today. Plus, Trina has Spencer and...and her parents here for her," Curtis said sadly.

"Alright, let's get you home, son," Marshall said, as he and Stella began to walk out with Curtis.

"Young man," Marshall looked directly at Spencer, "You take care of Trina. She's important to all of us, you hear?"

"You have my word, Mr. Ashford. The only important things now are Trina's recovery and well-being," Spencer replied.

By that time, TJ had returned, smiling broadly.

"Well?" Spencer asked. "How is she?"

"Her doctors said that she's going to be fine. It will, however, take some time for her to recover fully. But, she's definitely on her way," TJ declared.

"Yes. Thanks so much, TJ!" Can I go back in? I told her that I would come back after the doctors were done examining her," Spencer said.

"Sure, Trina's waiting for you," said TJ.

Spencer sprinted back off to Trina's room. This time he didn't let the sounds get to him, and some of the tubes had been removed. He took that as a good sign.

"I'm so glad you're back. The doctors said that I'm going to be ok. I'll just have to stay here for a few more days, and then I can go home. With my mom there, I'll have my own doctor on-call," Trina giggled.

Spencer tried his best to hid the anger that he was feeling as Trina spoke so happily about Portia, not knowing that Portia was the reason for her current condition.

"You, Miss Robinson, need to take it easy. You need your rest. I'm just going to stay here, hold your hand, and watch you sleep," Spencer said.

"Watch me sleep? Won't you be bored?" Trina asked teasingly.

"Never! No moment with you is ever boring," Spencer replied.

Trina laughed even more. She looked at Spencer with so much love, as he returned the same look.

"Don't think about anything but getting your rest and getting better. Now, please close those beautiful eyes of yours and dream some sweet dreams," Spencer said quietly as he placed a kiss on her forehead.

"Yes, sir!" Trina replied.

She wanted to stay awake longer and talk with Spencer and see her parents and Curtis, but the medications started to kick in. She could no longer keep her eyes open and drifted off to a beautiful sleep, while a young prince held her hand.
