We don't own Ghost Hunt!

"Mai, I'm...sorry for earlier." Naru finally apologized.

"What exact part?" She asked.

"...Before you 'left' to go to the office." He mumbled quietly, averting his gaze from her.

"Oh, that. Well you're wearing the skirt now and that's all that matters." Mai replied. Naru flickered his gaze back on her. He wasn't happy but as long as Mai wasn't too upset with him he didn't mind so much. He just had to make sure he didn't do it again and that she didn't actually leave him again. He smiled then placed the laptop he had been holding on the coffee table. Mai quickly came and joined him to begin their revenge.

"I was thinking maybe we could have some tea first whilst we discuss what to do next." He said as he turned to her. Mai rolled her eyes.

"Fine, fine." She stood up and disappeared into the kitchen. Naru decided to follow her. Mai automatically began making the tea.

"Could you..." Naru started awkwardly. "Um...could you show me how to make tea?" He asked. "For when you aren't here anymore." He added quickly in case it gave Mai ideas.

"Oh..." She said with semi-shock and a little disappointment. Then she smiled though. "Yeah, sure. Come here." She motioned for him to come closer. He went and stood next to her as directed.

"I'm pretty sure you know to boil the water first, right?" She asked.

"But don't we put teabags in the kettle also?" He questioned. Mai tried her best not to show her concern for him on her face.

"No..." She said slowly. "We pour the boiled water into the teacup and then put the teabags in the cup." She explained.

"Oh, okay." He replied as he picked the kettle up to fill it. Mai watched his every move but stayed enough away from him to have his space. He finally put the kettle back and switched it on.

"That's right isn't it?" He asked. Mai smiled and nodded encouragingly. "Now what do I do?"

"While the water is boiling you can go ahead and get the cups ready." She said. He grabbed some cups and placed them on the counter. "Now...we wait." Naru waited a moment then he started getting impatient and tapping his foot. He glanced at Mai who was leaning against the counter patiently. He started pacing.

"Naru..." Mai started amused.

"What?" He questioned.

"You're really impatient aren't you?"

"It's taking forever." He replied.

"…It's barely been two minutes since you put it on."

"I thought it would be done by now. You make it seem so quick." Mai shrugged. Naru let out a sigh and stopped pacing. He went and stood beside Mai.

"It'll be done soon." She assured him. Naru nodded but sighed in frustration. She was right though, all too soon the kettle started to boil. When the whistle on it went off Naru picked it up and poured the water into the cups. "Now we add a teabag to each cup." Mai instructed. Naru nodded and got the teabags. He selected two and plopped them into each of the cups. He dipped the teabags into the cup a few times then took it out, thinking it was ready, and was about to take a sip before Mai shouted.

"Naru, wait!"

"Now what?" He asked as he paused in drinking his tea.

"You're supposed to let the bags stay in there for several minutes!" She said as she slowly peeled the cup from his hands and set it back on the counter. Naru whimpered and whined at the loss of his teacup and pouted when Mai plopped the bags back in the cups. "All you would've drunk would have been water, you know."

"It looked done to me." He sulked.

"It was basically still clear..."

"Didn't look like it to me." Naru pouted. Mai sighed. She didn't know that Naru was this bad when he said he couldn't make tea. She fished the two teabags out of their respective cups as the tea was now done. Naru went to reach for it but Mai swatted his hand away. He let out a growl of frustration.

"It's not going to taste good if you just drink it plain!" He frowned at her, not understanding what she meant. She sighed and got the sugar. "You take sugar don't you?" A dawning expression crossed Naru's face at the question and he nodded. "Good because that's what I always put in yours anyway." Mai laughed. Naru smiled back at her. Mai finally handed him the tea once she put the sugar in. Naru took a sip, smacked his lips and let out a gratified sigh as the tea slid down his throat.

Mai shook her head while smiling. "Come on. Let's go mess with Lin's laptop." Naru smirked in response. They both went back into the living room and sat on the couch. They stared at the machine in front of them on the coffee table. They glanced at each other before Naru put the power button on, on the laptop. After a couple of minutes a password screen popped up.

"Crap! I didn't think of that." Mai exclaimed. "What do you think it could be?" She asked.

"I don't know." Naru replied. "Let's try 'squeaky' first." Mai grinned as she nodded. Naru typed in the password but it showed up as 'incorrect'. They both frowned.

"Well this is going to take forever..."

"Do you have any ideas?" Naru asked a little snappily. It was all well and good her bemoaning the fact the laptop had a password and his attempt had failed but she was just sat there doing nothing. She hadn't come up with any ideas for what it could be. Mai bit her lip as she thought about it.

"Hmm...'Naru can be a pain'?" She asked innocently. Naru glared coldly at her, making her hold up her hands in defence once again that day. "I'm just looking at it through Lin's perspective!"

"I don't think so, besides it's too long." He said grumpily.

"How about...'Mai is amazing'?" Naru just narrowed his eyes and glared at her.

"I thought you were looking through Lin's perspective?"

"I am!"

"Why would he think you are amazing then?" Naru asked. Mai shrugged.

"Why wouldn't he?" She asked cheekily. Naru let out a growl of irritation.

"What?!" She demanded defensively. He shook his head, unable to come up with anything to say that wasn't offensive and still exasperated by her attitude.

Mai rolled her eyes. "Well you come up with something then." Naru felt like just throwing the bloody laptop out the window. He had been trying to come up with legitimate passwords for it damn it, it was her who wasn't taking it seriously. After a few minutes of silence, Mai's face suddenly lit up with a grin.

"Wait... I think I know what it could be!" Mai grabbed the laptop from Naru and typed in the password making the home screen appear. She gave a slight giggle in victory.

"What? What was it?" Naru asked as he gaped in awe at the now unlocked laptop. Mai looked at him and grinned.

"Madoka Mori!" She couldn't help but giggle again. A look of realization and then confusion swept across Naru's face.

"...Why would Madoka's name be his password?" Mai looked shocked.

"You honestly don't know? How could you not know?" She questioned. Well, she guessed that since he just realized his own feelings for her he wouldn't notice anyone else's about another person. She let out a sigh. "Lin loves Madoka..." She mumbled in a 'you should know this' tone.

"Oh. I thought something fishy was going on between those two." Naru mused.

"Well now you know." She told him then smiled. "I think it's cute that she'd be his password!" Naru just grunted his agreement as he didn't exactly agree it was 'cute' but he sure found it interesting. "That was actually kind of fun... Maybe I should try to guess your password next!" She stated nonchalantly. "I bet it's 'I need tea' or something like that." She began to look at the things on Lin's laptop then. Naru pouted at her comment.

"I can assure you that isn't my password and that also you will never know what it is."

"Hm...we'll see about that!"

"Don't push me Mai." He warned. She frowned.

"I'm not trying to..." She mumbled as she found all of Lin's word documents.

"Well then why did you threaten to try and break into my laptop?" He asked as he too studied what was on his Chinese assistant's computer.

"I didn't threaten to. I only said I wonder what it is."

"And I said you'll never find out to which you responded 'hmm, we'll see' which if I'm not mistaken could be taken as a threat to break into my computer." Naru pointed out.

"It's not like I'm going to go out of my way to get into your computer." Mai said disbelieving. "I was only curious as to what it was." Naru made a grunt of begrudging assent before turning his attention back to the laptop in front of them. Now it was time to see what they could do to it. Mai cracked her knuckles in preparation.

"Alright, let's see here..."

"What are we going to do?" Naru asked. Mai shrugged.

"No clue. We didn't get this far in the plan, remember?"

"Good point." They both sat and racked their brains for what to do. Mai rested her head on the back of the couch and stared up at the ceiling in thought.

"How evil do you want to go Naru?" She asked absently. "I have an idea but it's incredibly evil."

Naru raised an eyebrow. "What is it...?"

"We completely reset his computer." She said bluntly. Naru's eyes widened.

"That's...that's..." He stuttered.

"Genius is the word you're looking for, I believe." Mai grinned. Naru gave her a small glare.

"More like murderous."

"Excuse me?!"

"Stupid, idiotic, not even thought through. Need I go on?" Naru continued as though Mai hadn't displayed her shock at his reaction.

"Why would it be?!" Naru levelled her with another glare.

"Because there are important files on there."

Mai frowned. "Don't you have back-ups?"

"No." He answered. Mai blinked. She thought her boss would've been more rational in that aspect.

"Well you should!"

"Why?" He asked.

"For something like this." She gestured between them and the laptop.

"Maybe, however I would never go that far."

Mai huffed. "Fine..." She grumbled and then another idea came to her after a while. "...We could download a bunch of adorable and fluffy things and decorate the laptop with it." Naru perked up a bit at this suggestion.

"We could also make everything pink." He proposed. Mai turned her head towards Naru and smiled.

"Perfect." Naru smirked back at her. For the rest of the afternoon they filled Lin's laptop with every cute, girly, pink thing that you could imagine. When they finished they sat back and sighed with satisfaction. Mai glanced at the clock and then at Naru.

"Do you think Lin's back yet?" She asked.

"Hmm, probably not." He replied.

"Then should we go back to the office and put the laptop back?"

"That is a good idea, however it would mean getting past Yasuhara again." Naru pointed out. Mai groaned at his words. "My thoughts exactly."

"Maybe we could somehow get him out the office..."

"Good suggestion but how?"

"...Prank call?"

Naru shook his head. "No, he'd see right through that."

"I could call him and tell him we need something for the office... It would work on him unlike Lin, who knows everything we have in the office." Mai stated, crossing her arms. Naru contemplated the idea. Maybe it could work...

He slowly nodded his agreement.

"Good. I'll tell him to just go buy some supplies or something." Mai said as she reached for the phone. Naru shrugged and watched what she was doing.

Mai dialled the office's number since she didn't know Yasu's number off-hand. He picked up on the fifth ring.

"Hello, Shibuya Psychic Research, how may I help you today?" She heard his cheerful voice answer.

"Ah, Yasuhara..." She started.

"Boss! What a surprise! To what do I owe the pleasure of this call?" He asked in a sly tone.

"I need you to go buy some supplies for the office."

"Such as?" Yasuhara prompted. Mai glanced at Naru.

Naru shrugged as though saying 'I don't know and this was your idea'. Mai rolled her eyes at him.

"Uh...paper. We need paper." Mai said the first thing that came to mind. "And...tea. I need my tea."

"Uh-huh, I see, anything else?"

"...I don't believe so."

"Okay then." Yasuhara chirruped.

"I need them now...so go."

"Anything you say Boss."

Mai didn't know what else to say so she just hung up. Naru just blinked at her.

"What?" Mai asked when she caught him staring at her. He shrugged and shook his head. He had nothing to say. Mai took a deep breath and just sat still. They sat there for a while in complete silence. Mai soon began to feel a bit uncomfortable with it. She decided to get up and make some tea as something to do. 'Although I just made tea not long ago...' She then pondered on it. 'Technically I guess it was Naru who made it though.' Mai sighed. This switching business was really starting to get to her. All she really wanted was to be back in her body and to know where she stood with Naru.

Sure they'd confessed their love to each other but it wasn't like he'd confirmed his feelings by kissing her or anything. She didn't see why he wouldn't kiss her just because they argued. Most couples argued, just look at Monk and Ayako. She and Naru have always argued...so what would be the difference, really? They fight for a bit but then they're usually back to normal a few minutes later. Maybe she should take the initiative and kiss him? She was currently stronger than him and if he truly loved her he wouldn't object...

But wouldn't that like be considered sexual assault? She let out another sigh and sat on a kitchen chair. There really was just no winning.
