"Mai? Did I say something wrong again?" Naru asked as Mai was being awfully silent. What was so bad about saying he liked her tea though? Mai sighed in slight irritation, making a move to stand up. Naru held onto her tighter and prevented her from doing so.

"Naru..." She said evenly. "Let me go..."

"Not until you answer me." He replied.

"If you let me go I'll make you some tea." She bargained. "Which is what you want me here for..." Mai mumbled under her breath.

"I never want to let you go Mai." Mai froze and felt her stomach do a flip at his words. She wasn't sure she had heard him right.

"W-What?"

"You heard what I said Mai. I never want to let you go, not now that I've found you." '...When exactly was I lost?' Naru saw the look on Mai's face and wasn't impressed. He was trying to express himself and she seemed to be thinking mocking things.

"You obviously just said you only want me here to make you tea, but now you don't want me to make you any?"

"That's not what I said at all or if I did I didn't mean it like that."

"Well it sure did sound like it..." Mai replied as she grabbed one of his hands and began to play with his fingers. Naru let out a sigh.

"Mai, you should know by now that sometimes what I say is not necessarily what I mean." Mai remained quiet and innocently wriggled her nose a bit. "Stop making yourself look cute when I'm trying to be serious."

Stopping her movements, Mai glanced up at Naru. "I'm not trying to..." She was cut off by Naru's lips making contact with hers. Mai immediately relaxed and sighed into the kiss. This made Naru relax too. Mai twisted around so she was now facing Naru instead of her back being towards him. This made it easier for Naru to hold her closer to him.

He wrapped an arm around her waist while the other hand was placed on her cheek. Mai wrapped her arms around his neck. She pulled herself a lot closer to him. Their kissing became more fervent. Naru swept his tongue across her lower lip, asking for entrance. She gladly let him in to do as he pleased. As he probed and poked his tongue in her mouth, Mai let out a moan. It spurred Naru on. With Mai's arms still wrapped around his neck, he was somehow able to lay her down on the floor, hovering over her. He then began kissing her neck.

Mai's hands slid down and rested on his chest. More noises of satisfaction issued from her throat. Naru kept his hands above her waist knowing not to go too far this time. Mai seemed to relax when she realized this. She was glad Naru wouldn't push her to go further than she was comfortable with. Naru broke from kissing her neck to look into her eyes.

"Stay with me Mai?" He asked. Blushing, Mai stared at him with passion and gave a hurried nod. "You...you will? You'll stay here with me?" He questioned as though he couldn't quite believe she'd said yes. Mai nodded again.

"I really didn't want to leave anyways." She admitted. Naru's face lit up with a genuine smile before he kissed her deeply. When they broke apart Mai sat up, making Naru scoot back a bit. He looked a bit confused. Mai blinked. "What?"

"Well we were kissing and then you sat up...why?" Mai laughed as she leaned towards him and wrapped her arms around his neck.

"I don't know about you, but I'm starving. I've been up for a while longer than you anyways." She answered then pecked him on the lips. "Besides, you said you wanted tea."

"I didn't say that. You said that." Mai blinked.

"Well...I know you want some anyways." She said, standing up. Naru reached out to stop her a moment but his hand only grazed her breast. Instinctively she slapped him as she had forgotten it was Naru not Gene. She immediately gasped when she realized what she had done. "Naru! I'm so sorry!"

Naru clutched his stinging cheek with a look of shock on his face. He couldn't believe she would do that to him. Although it didn't seem like she meant to with her reaction afterwards.

"Naru, I...I forgot it was you and I just reacted...I'm sorry." Naru blinked. Forgot it was him? He's the only other one in the bloody room! "Yeah, I needed to talk to you about that anyway." Mai continued on. Naru raised an eyebrow as Mai knelt back down beside him. "See when we were asleep I had a dream...well it wasn't exactly a dream but you get the idea right?"

Naru slowly nodded. He didn't exactly know but he had an idea. Basically she visited Gene was what she was trying to say.

"Well, Gene and I were talking and he insisted we celebrate and then he touched my boobs." Naru blinked, not sure if he heard her right. "And then he kept denying that he did it at all and..."

"Wait." Naru interrupted then lifted his hand saying to stop talking. "...What did you just say?"

"I said Gene touched my boobs. Now where was I? Yeah, then he..." Naru let this piece of information sink in. He wasn't exactly sure what to think or feel about this.

"Wait, wait, wait. Gene touched you? On your chest? Was it deliberate?" He questioned.

"Well. He says it wasn't, but I think it was." Mai answered, moving so she could sit in his lap. Truthfully she was tired of sitting on the floor especially since she fell earlier.

"How do you mean you think it was?"

"Because! When his hand landed on them I felt him pause and give them a squeeze!" Mai blushed when she actually said it out loud. It was embarrassing now... She was glad Naru couldn't see her face.

"I see." Mai suddenly found her pyjama shirt a lot more interesting. She was starting to wish she hadn't told Naru after all. What did she really expect anyways? Sure she knew he'd be angry but she now also felt ashamed. He was probably wondering why the heck she just told him that. She really didn't think this through.

"Ummm...so yeah, I think I'll...um, go make breakfast..." Mai stammered, standing up from Naru's lap. This time Naru made no move to stop her. Yep, she definitely regretted telling him now...

She sighed and went to the kitchen. 'Now Naru seems mad...' She filled and switched the kettle on. Biting her lip, Mai propped herself up on the counter. She didn't mean to make Naru mad like that but then again what exactly was she expecting from him? For him to have a jealous rage and demand that he talk to Gene?

Maybe him being silent and thoughtful about it with a quiet anger was a better way to go for him. Mai nodded to herself in agreement. 'Well, that is if he's even angry...' She hoped he wasn't. But what is he thinking? Maybe she should steel herself and ask him. Mai sighed as the whistle on the kettle went off. She began to prepare two cups of tea. As she poured the steaming water into the cups, she heard footsteps coming into the kitchen. They stopped behind her just as she had finished her task. Now she started to chew on her lip. What was she supposed to say? What was he going to do?

"Is the tea ready?" Naru asked. He didn't sound angry or anything in fact he sounded normal, as though she had never said anything. Okay, he was going to act normal then so would she. She could do it...Hopefully.

"Yep, just got finished." Mai said before she picked up his cup and turned around to give it to him. Unfortunately her normality went a little too far and she tripped, spilling the very hot tea all over Naru's front. Her eyes grew wide and she gasped as Naru jumped back with a yelp.

"Ah, ah, ah, hurts, ah, ah, ah." He panted as he jumped up and down a little in an effort to cool where the drink had hit him. Her finger went up to her mouth and she began to gently bite her fingernail in her nervous state.

"Oh, Naru, I'm so sorry!" She cried.

"Don't just stand there brainlessly, help me!" Naru snapped. Mai took a step forward but then paused. How exactly could she 'help'? "For goodness sake get some ice or something!"

"Oh, right!" Mai twirled around and went to the freezer. Though being in a hurry, she grabbed the first thing she saw which just so happened to be a tub of ice cream. She thrust the frozen treat towards Naru who stared at her like she'd gone mad. She shrugged in panic. She looked again but could only see ice cream so she thrust the tub she was holding at him again. He still wouldn't take it so she ripped the lid off and shoved the tub of ice cream onto his chest to cool it. Naru gave a small sigh of relief. Then he realized what she'd done. Mai's eyes widened further when she realized too. She slowly withdrew her hand with the ice cream tub to reveal a large smear of chocolate ice cream going down his front.

"I'm such...an idiot..." Mai breathed. She was too afraid to look at Naru's face so she just glued her eyes onto the chocolatey smear. It was starting to melt and dribble down Naru's stomach. Her mouth gaped open. A million thoughts popped into her mind about what she'd like to do, none of them appropriate for the situation. "I-I...um..." Mai stuttered. 'Yep...' She thought sarcastically. 'This sure is acting normal.'

"My eyes are up here Mai." Naru smirked. Mai screwed her eyes shut, still thinking Naru was going to be furious at her. Then she felt something very cold and wet on her nose and heard a chuckle. She opened her eyes to find Naru, still holding out his ice cream covered finger that he'd just swiped her nose with, laughing. She blinked in surprise before crossing her eyes to try and look at her nose. This made Naru laugh harder. Mai couldn't believe it. Naru was laughing?! Wait...did that mean he wasn't mad at her? That was a relief. It was also a relief to know Naru wasn't a robot. Mai let out an amused breath before she began to laugh as well. She too scooped some ice cream out of the tub with a finger and wiped it on Naru's nose.

"There." She grinned. Naru narrowed his eyes at her playfully. "I'm sorry." Mai apologized again but this time with a laugh. "I wasn't thinking." Naru just smirked with amusement.

"When do you ever?" He teased.

"Hey, that's not fair!" She complained. Which only caused his smirk to widen. "…Does this mean you're not mad at me...for anything?" Mai asked timidly after a few moments of silence.

"Of course I'm not mad at you Mai. Why did you think I was?"

"Well for one thing, I just spilled tea all over you and shoved ice cream at you...and about what I said earlier..." Mai mumbled as she looked around for a rag to clean up the spilled tea with.

"Mai, most of those things are rather trivial to be upset about." Mai sighed and nodded. It seemed Naru wasn't mad about what Gene did. She guessed Naru just wasn't the jealous and or possessive type. Or maybe he was but he just didn't feel threatened by the spirit of his dead brother. That did make sense. Nothing could actually happen between them on the astral plane anyways.

The ice cream was starting to drip off Naru and hit the floor to make a small puddle. Mai bit her lip once again and looked at him.
"You should go change while I clean all this mess up." She said. Naru nodded ignoring the fact he'd only been stood in some sweatpants anyway as he'd basically just gotten out of bed. Mai turned around to grab a towel. Naru started to leave the room. Before he left though, he spoke to Mai. His words made her blush.

"Oh, and Mai." Naru called causing her to turn around and blink at him in question. He smiled devilishly. "If that idiotic brother of mine ever touches you again, I'll find a way to make him experience extreme pain." He said before leaving the room. "Maybe I'll practice the nine cuts on him and see how he does without nuggets..." She heard him mumble as he went down the hall.

Mai felt a bloom of warmth swell up in her chest. He did care after all. A big smile spread across her face and she began humming as she got to work cleaning up the mess on the floor. She couldn't get the smile off her face. She would love to be a witness if Naru's threat did ever happen, especially considering some of the things Gene had owned up to. She had a feeling Gene wasn't going to be too happy with her the next time he saw her though. It was his fault she kept slapping him though, he shouldn't have grabbed her there. She was going to have to be more wary of him now. She didn't realize how handsy he was until now. He was such a pervert...she was glad Naru wasn't. She definitely fell in love with the better twin. There were more reasons than just that, that he was the better twin. Another reason was he provided her with a challenge, she wanted to get him to smile as much as possible. She didn't exactly know how but she was going to. She was determined to. Soon Mai finished cleaning up everything and Naru came back from taking a shower. He only had a towel wrapped around his waist. When she saw him, Mai's eyes widened in surprise and a blush instantly covered her face. She abruptly turned around hoping he wouldn't see it.

"Mai, what happened to all my clean underwear?" Naru asked, ignoring the fact that Mai was now having a meltdown due to his undressed state. Yes, she has already seen him fully naked but that was when she was in his body. She's in her body now...and has a full, very nice view of him. All it would take is one slip of that towel...

"Mai can you please look at me when I'm talking to you? What happened to all my underwear?"

"I..." Mai dragged out, squeezing her eyes shut. "I guess they're all dirty...I can go wash them if you want." Naru let out a huff. "Is that a no then?" She asked.

"I kind of need underwear now." Naru pointed out. "Unless of course you would like me to go around in a towel all day..." He added slyly. Mai suddenly turned around, her blush still in place.

"I highly doubt Lin would like that." She told him.

"What's it got to do with him?" He asked.

"Because aren't we supposed to go to the office?"

"Do you really want to face the wrath of Lin over his laptop?"

"So you're going to take another day off from work?" Mai blinked. 'What's wrong with him? He's a workaholic!' Naru raised an eyebrow.

"Does that really surprise you so much? Besides, who said anything about not working, I can work from home."

"You can?!"

"Of course. What do you think I do when I can't sleep?" Mai gave a reluctant shrug. Naru shook his head witheringly. "Clothes, Mai." He reminded her with a sigh.

"Oh...ah...um...right, I don't know what to do about your underwear." She responded.

"Wash them." It was a statement. Not a question.

"Yeah but you said you wanted them now and if I wash them they won't be dry for ages." Mai pointed out. Naru stared at her in slight irritation. He still needed them. It didn't matter if it wasn't instant or not. "I mean I can wash them but what will you do in the mean time?" She jabbered. Naru sighed, turning around.

"I'll figure something out." He stated. He didn't notice his towel had gotten caught as he was walking away so it slipped from around him and gave Mai a glorious view of his nude backside as he left now completely bare.
