Note* This chapter is a flashback. :)
"Amy, honey, come here." Amy's mother called. Amy approached her.
"Yes Mama?" She asked.
"Amy me and your father were talking, and we decided that we would call this place home." Amy's mother said.
"Okay." Amy said.
"Since were staying here you should go fly around and explore. Meet new birds instead of being cooped up in here." Amy's mother told her.
"But mama, it's cold outside." Amy complained.
"No buts, young lady. You need to atleast meet someone new. Find a girl your age and just have her show you around if you don't want to befriend her." Amy's mother said.
"Okay, mama." Amy said disheartidly.
"Come on, honey. Cheer up. You'll have fun here, I promise." Amy's mother said.
"Why'd we have to move anyway?" Amy asked.
"Because it was too dangerous where we were at." Amy's mom said.
"Okay. I guess I'll go see if I can find someone." Amy said. Her mom kissed her forehead.
"Be safe, dear." She said.
Amy flew around for a bit. She was amazed at how the humans acted. After a half hour of flying, she rested on top of a building. That's when two young geese flew beside her.
"Um, hi." Amy said to her.
"Hi? Is that all you gonna say?" Said one of the geese.
"Uh...how do you do?" Amy said to her. The geese laughed.
"Look at her, Chloe, she's hilarious!" Said one of the geese.
"Uh..I think I have to go now." Amy said.
"Aww you can't leave yet. Alice and I planned on having a little bit more fun with you." Said the other goose.
"Yep I'm definitely getting the heck out of here." Amy said, quickly flying flew as fast as she could to get away from those crazy birds. When she dared to steal a look behind her, she saw that the geese weren't following her.
She let out a sigh of relief as she slowed down. She did NOT want to run into those two again. She flew around for a bit, taking in the sights that only a bird can see. She smiled at the view.
Sadly, she didn't see any other birds. She decided to take a break and landed on a small platform on a building. She looked out into the streets. She sighed. She didn't want to have to tell her mother that the only birds she met were ones that scared her.
Suddenly she felt a tap on her shoulder. She jumped and quickly turned to see who or what it was. There she saw a tiny blue macaw. They stared at each other for a while.
"Um..hi there.." The macaw said quietly.
"Uh...hi." Amy said. More silence followed, as well as more staring.
"What's your name?" The macaw asked. Amy hesitated.
"It's...Amy. What's yours?" Amy asked.
"My name is Blu." The macaw said.
"Blue? Like the color?" Amy asked.
"No...like the cheese...y'know. The one with a mold on it." Blu said. Amy chuckled a bit.
"I see." She said.
"I don't mean to be rude...but why did you come here?" Blu asked.
"My mom told me to go meet some other birds." Amy said.
"Have you met any?" Blu asked.
"Yeah. Two mean birds who scared me." Amy said.
"Oh. That's bad." Blu said.
"Yeah it was." Amy said. There was a small silence.
"Are you sick?" Blu asked. Amy stared.
"Why do you ask?"
"Because your feathers are all different colors. You're not blue." Blu said.
"Well of course I'm not blue. I've always had these colors." Amy said.
"Are you sure?" Blu asked.
"As sure as can be." Amy said.
"I've always been blue. At least I think I have." Blu said.
"Really?" Amy asked.
"Yeah." Blu said.
"Cool. Hey how old are you?" Amy asked.
"I'm eight. What about you?" Blu said.
"I'm seven." Amy said.
"I'm a year older than you!" Blu exclaimed.
"I'm younger!" Amy said. They laughed.
"Amy." Blu said.
"Yeah?" Amy replied.
"Do you want to be friends?" Blu asked. Amy thought for a little bit.
"Yes! Yes I do!" Amy said. Blu and Amy cheered.
"Well I have to get going. I'll see you tomorrow!" Amy said.
"Aww do you have to?" Blu said.
"Yeah. But don't worry, I'll be right back here tomorrow." Amy said.
"Okay. Promise?" Blu asked.
"Promise." Amy said.
Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted in a couple months. No I haven't died. I have just been extremely busy. I'm constantly buried in homework from school (especially math). I almost never have time to get on fanfiction. If only grades didn't matter in school, I'd have a chapter posted almost every day. Anyway guys I hope you can forgive my non-posting. I really am gonna try to upload a chapter every week from now on. But please remember guys I can't make any guarantees. If I don't upload one week then I'll hopefully have it up the next week. Also if anything comes up that'll stop me from uploading, I'll keep you guys posted.
Anyway guys, I hope you enjoyed the chapter. Stay awesome, my fans, and I'll see you all in the next chapter.
