We do not own Ghost Hunt!

She went back into the living room and looked into another box. This one was filled with clothes so she took it to the bedroom.

Where was she supposed to place her clothes? She really didn't want to take up all of Naru's space for his. She bit her lip before deciding to hell with it, he would just have to learn to share. Half the drawers would be hers and half would be his, right down the middle. She nodded to herself and got started with moving his clothes first. He probably didn't have as much as her anyways.

She opened one of the drawers and it was filled with clothes. 'Well, there goes that theory.' She thought. She removed some of the clothes from the drawer. They were in various colours and still had the tags on. 'He hasn't even worn this stuff. Why?' Mai frowned. She guessed she could ask Naru about it. She didn't think they would be Gene's like the last time...

She looked at a label. They looked to be in Naru's size so why wasn't he wearing them? 'I'll just have to ask him when he returns then.' She nodded to herself before continuing to shuffle things around to make space for her own. Perhaps she should have brought her dresser with her. Maybe she could call Naru and ask him to get it for her... But what if he was already walking back from the office? She guessed it wouldn't hurt to try to call him. She quickly went to get her phone.

She dashed out of the bedroom and into the living room. She then pressed the buttons to speed dial Naru's number. It didn't take him long to answer at all.

"Mai, is something wrong? You haven't burned down my apartment have you?" He asked. Mai huffed as she plopped down on the couch.

"Noooo, I haven't thank you very much! I was calling to see where you were..."

"I'm almost halfway back to the apartment." Naru answered.

"Oh..." Well there wasn't no point now. He wasn't even close to her apartment. "Okay, never mind then."

"What were you going to ask me to do Mai?" He sighed.

"It's nothing, I was just wondering if you were close to my apartment. I kinda wanted my dresser..." She confessed.

"Why?" He asked.

"Because I wouldn't want to take up your space or anything." Mai decided to tell the half-truth. She didn't want him to know she already looked through his clothes.

"Mai, it's fine, you can move whatever you want in the drawers." He said. Mai bit her lip.

"...Anything?"

"Yes anything as long as you stay out of the closet as...well you know what's in there." Naru replied.

"Yes, right, of course." Mai quickly reassured him that she wouldn't dare touch it.

"Alright then. See you soon." He said before he hung up. Mai sighed as she ended the call. She got up and returned to the bedroom. Naru obviously wouldn't ever wear those brand new clothes she had found. She still wondered what the reason for that was. Whatever the reason, she decided she'd just move them from the drawers. She'd place them on the bed so he could decide what to do with them when he got back.

That done, she realized she had a lot more space now to place her clothes. She immediately got to throwing, I mean placing, her clothes in the now empty drawers. Now Naru's clothes were in the top drawers and hers were in the bottom. She had just closed the drawers when she heard the front door open. Mai beamed before walking out the room.

"Naru!" She squealed excitedly.

"Mai, is there a reason you have a pair of underpants on your head?" He asked. Mai abruptly stopped in confusion. She slowly lifted her hands to pat her head. A blush immediately adorned her face.

"Oops, guess I got carried away." She said meekly. Hastily she snatched the clothing from her head as she laughed nervously. Naru merely raised an eyebrow at her. She could be so weird at times. He wondered how the underpants had even gotten on her head to begin with. She really was a mystery. Still, he guessed he had the rest of his life to try and solve that mystery.

Naru watched as Mai glanced around the room, trying to avoid looking at him, with a blush on her face.

"It might help if you put the underpants back where they belong." He suggested with a smirk. Mai's eyes then snapped on to him, her blush flaring up. Her mouth opened and closed a few times but nothing came out. She then turned and went back to the bedroom. Naru's smirk only widened. He had to try and stop himself from laughing. Like he said before, weird. He could hear her opening and closing things and he decided to go and investigate. Who knows what that idiot is getting herself into? He arrived just as she opened and closed another drawer.

"Now what are you doing?" Naru asked, leaning against the doorway with crossed arms.

"Trying to remember where I put the rest of the underwear." She replied. Naru lifted a brow as he watched his girlfriend. She opened another drawer and rummaged through it before closing it again.

"Mai, there's not that many drawers."

"Well I can't seem to find the right one." How could she not...? He sighed and went over to help her. Then he caught sight of all those shirts his mother had bought him lying on the bed.

"Mai, what exactly have you been doing whilst I was gone?" He asked. Mai stopped what she was doing and turned around. She hoped she hadn't done anything wrong...

"I-I put my toiletries in the bathroom...then I began finding a place to put my clothes." She saw him looking at the clothes she had removed from the drawers. "You said I could move what I wanted..." Naru nodded slowly.

"So why are my clothes not in the drawers and instead strewn all over the bed?"

"Y-You never wore those...and I wouldn't have been able to fit all of my clothes in the dresser if I didn't take them out..." She replied quietly. "Why exactly didn't you wear any of those?" She then asked curiously. "I mean even the tag is still on them..."

"Because my mother bought them." He said simply.

"That doesn't explain anything." She declared after a moment of thought about his answer.

"Do you really think I'd willingly wear those?" Mai frowned at the question.

"I don't see anything wrong with them." She muttered. Naru sighed.

"Mai, I've already had a conversation with you about my clothes; I'm not having another one." He tried not to sound impatient.

"I was just curious, besides it isn't me you should be talking to about this it's your mother if these clothes are such a problem."

"She knows, she just doesn't listen too well."

"Oh." Mai replied as she fingered a midnight blue shirt. She thought it would look so nice on Naru what with his eye colour and it would accentuate his build a little. She'd like to see it on him at least once. She bit her lip as she thought about how to go about it then she suddenly had a thought. 'If Naru had these clothes all along why was he strutting around nude and saying he didn't have anything to wear when I forgot to wash his normal stuff?' Mai eyed him suspiciously.

"Now what?" Naru questioned.

"Why didn't you wear those this morning when you had 'claimed' you didn't have anything else to wear?"

"Because I don't like them." Mai closed her eyes in disbelief, a little taken aback. She couldn't believe he would rather wander around unclothed than temporarily wear something he disliked while he waited for something he was more comfortable to wear to be ready. And to think of all the embarrassment that could have been saved! Ugh, she felt so irritated now.

He could have worn those clothes for a little while! It would've saved her the image of him flaunting himself. Mai's eye twitched substantially. Naru huffed impatiently as though demanding to know what was wrong this time without saying it as Mai looked thunderous.

"I think you could've worn them that little bit when I was washing your clothes!"

"Why is it such a big deal?" He asked. Mai bit the inside of her cheek in growing anger. Naru shook his head. "Forget it, this argument is pointless." He said as he turned around and began to leave. Mai didn't stop him. She knew he needed to leave before she said something she regretted. But that didn't stop her from violently throwing a pillow at the door when he closed it.

Naru heard the thud of the pillow against the door and sighed. He hoped one day she would learn to rein her temper in and use her words instead. Maybe he should take her to anger management sessions...

Then again if she were sweet and mild all the time it would take all the fun out of teasing her. The only thing he could do now was wait for her to calm down a bit. He went in the living room and sat on the sofa. He leaned back, making himself comfortable before sighing again. He hoped Mai calmed down soon. To be honest he had gotten quite used to having her around, and it just seemed...boring without her in the room with him.

Maybe she had a point about the clothes but he couldn't wear them, he just couldn't. Yes his mother had bought them for him but to him it felt like there was an ulterior motive behind her getting him those clothes specifically. She always bought him one for every occasion and just about every time she got to see him. Despite the fact he tried to show her clothes he was interested in though, seeing as she insisted she buy him some, she always ignored him and bought him clothes that he felt would be more appropriate for Gene if he were here.

That was not going to happen though. He was not going to wear them and encourage her fantasies that he would become his brother. He wasn't going to change for anyone even if it is his mother. Nope, he would stick to clothing he felt comfortable with or he wouldn't wear any at all. The choice in his mind was simple.

Naru shifted his gaze back to his bedroom door. It was still closed with Mai still inside. She couldn't have that many clothes, right? He debated whether to get up and go check on her or not. If she was too angry she might destroy the room...

That's it, he was going to investigate! He hurried and strode back the bedroom. He opened the door and looked around. For one thing he didn't see Mai. He was confused. She hadn't exited, he knew that. There wasn't really anywhere in the room to hide so where was she? ...Unless she was in the closet. He walked over to it and slung the doors open. Strangely she wasn't there.

Naru was really starting to get confused now. He was really starting to worry about where she was. He surveyed the room once again. Then he saw a lump under the duvet on the bed. He raised a brow and quietly walked to it. As he got closer he could hear light snores coming from the lump. Naru sighed before grasping the blanket and pulling it back slightly. Mai was curled up on her side fast asleep. How she managed to fall asleep that fast he'll never know. He hadn't been sitting in the living room for long. Then again this was Mai. But why was she even sleeping in the first place? Surely she couldn't be that tired.

Naru frowned before taking a closer look at her. He reached out and touched her cheek. At that, Mai seemed to curl up in a ball a bit more. Naru debated whether to leave her be or not. There really wasn't anything he could do if he stayed though, besides from just watching her sleep. It did sound tempting. If he stayed, she'd either get really embarrassed or really angry when she woke up.

Sighing he decided to leave the room. Despite getting a chance to see her blush, he really didn't want to wait to see if she'd get mad or not. He walked to the door before looking back at her again. So tempting...No, no he must resist the urge to either watch her or wake her like Sleeping Beauty. She was already mad at him before she fell asleep so if he woke her up...

Yeah, he'd rather not contemplate the consequences. He believed the removal of his nuggets would be involved somewhere and he'd rather avoid that if he could. Naru sighed before shutting the door softly behind him. He went back to the sofa and sat on it. After a while he realized neither one of them had even eaten dinner yet. He couldn't cook and Mai was obviously exhausted. He didn't want to wake her in order to go out to eat but he couldn't really order food without knowing what she wanted. He was basically stuck for what to do.

He turned his head towards the kitchen. What was even in there anyways? He knew there was ice cream but that's as far as his knowledge went. And he didn't think Mai would approve of ice cream for dinner. Besides, she had complained enough about how much of it he was eating when he was in her body. He just wished he had something ready for her to eat when she wakes up. He could call someone to help but that wasn't like him... He was really at a loss for what to do. Wait a minute...someone to help...

John!

They completely forgot to tell him they had switched back! He wondered briefly if John could cook then shook the idea of asking him off and replaced it with merely informing him of the situation. The priest deserved to know that everything was okay now. He went to the phone and dialled John's number. Why didn't he remember to inform him sooner of this? Then again things had been rather hectic. Yesterday they had just spent the whole day wrapped up in each other's arms, not thinking about anything else really, and then they moved Mai in today. Still, he would inform John now and then it would be done. He waited for the priest to pick up. Since it was taking so long he thought that he wasn't, but the man finally did.
