Their afterschool training sessions continued, with Kaminari and Sero joining in sometimes. Minoko is proud to say that she can actually take hits now. Considering it was nearing the end of the month, and the Sports Festival was slowly closing in, she was in luck. Unfortunately, before the Sports Festival, they have to deal with this first.

It has been four weeks since the attack at USJ.Why are we back here again?Minoko thought as she and the rest of the class entered the dome shaped building.

"Well, that happened," Thirteen started, "but class is class. So let's get rescuing!"

So nonchalant,Minoko thought, but before they can even walk down the stairs, Midoriya voices out a concern, "Umm, isn't All Might supposed to be with us?"

"This is eerily familiar," Minoko muttered.

"I don't know," Mr. Aizawa said, "Forget about him."

Minoko raised an eyebrow, "That's…a strange response," she said before turning to her side and lightly shoving herself towards Ashido, "It's stange, right?"

"Yeah," Ashido said, crossing her arms as she began thinking, "Maybe something happened between them? Oh! What if—"

"I think it's best we don't speculate, ribbit," Tsuyu said.

They followed Thirteen towards…"Is that a chasm?" Minoko asked.

"Ah! It is," Ochako nodded, "I guess the injured civilians are gonna be down there and we're gonna have to bring them up."

Minoko snapped her fingers, "Ochako, your quirk will be great for ths," she said, "you can just let the people float."

Ochako nodded enthusiastically, "Yeah! But your quirk is good for rescuing too. I mean, you can just 'teleport' people up the chasm."

"Thatistrue," she said, "I probably shouldn't use it on people with head injuries or are unconscious."

"Why not?"

"Getting into and out of the pocket dimension is quite an experience," Minoko laughs, "It can make someone dizzy, especially first timers. Little five year old me puked when I first traveled there. Not all the time of course, people who can take on rollercoasters are often fine, but I wouldn't risk it."

"Oh," Ochako said, nodding. "Yeah, it would probably do them worse if you do."

Their conversation was interrupted when the group stopped walking. Thirteen faced them and explained the situation. "Below this chasm are four civilians. One is unconscious, the other will have a broken leg, the third will be concussed, and the last one will be very worried."

Minoko watched as Kirishima and Kaminari walked up to the edge of the chasm and looked over. They let out amused sounds, "That's some height!"

"It's a chasm, what did they expect?" Minoko sighed, watching as Iida rushed over to the two, reprimanding them before leaning over the edge, trying to reassure the not yet existent civilians.

Minoko giggled, "Iida's all or nothing as usual."

"Let's save them!" Ochako exclaimed, before looking over to her other side, "Deku! Let's do our best!"

"Before anything!" Thirteen exclaimed, "For the victims, it'll be you four!"

She pointed towards where Iida, Ochako, Midoriya and her stood. Minoko subtly tried separating herself from the group. "Minoko! You can't escape!" Ochako latched onto her arm.

Minoko whined as she was pulled towards the chasm, "I don't wanna be stuck there," she says, but follows anyway.

When they reached the bottom, Iida looked over to them, "We have to do our best!" he exclaimed.

"Best to be injured?" Minoko asked.

"Exactly!"

"That sounds ridiculous."

"It is part of our duty as students—"

"Let's do this injured thing!"

"Yeah!"

"So," Minoko asked, "Who's gonna be who?"

They drawed lots for it using paper from Minoko's inventory.

"How does a concussed person even act?" Minoko wondered as she sat next to Midoriya—who has a broken leg, which is quite fitting considering how many bones he's broken since the start of the school year.

"Well, concussed people often act confused or disoriented, have slurred speech, and poor coordination," Midoriya said, "that's all I can think of off the top of my head."

Minoko hummed, she was never a good actor. She took on acting with Aki once during her "Self Discovery Journey', and she quit not even two weeks later—better quit than get kicked out, right? She performed as a tree once and somehow she messed it up because she wasn't 'stiff enough' as they said.

"I think we're about to start. Take your roles seriously!" Iida said before facing up the chasm, "Help us! Please!" he called.

Minoko could see Todoroki peek over the edge before turning to whoever his teammates were. She can faintly hear yelling and explosions, meaning Bakugou was the other one—she somehow feels unsafe. Yaoyorozu peeks over the edge—somehow Minoko feels safer. That leaves one more person for rescue.

Yaomomo called out to them, "Everyone please stay calm! We will get to you right away."

"You're finally here! We're saved!" Iida exclaimed, making Ochako shake from biting back her laughter.

A few minutes later, the last rescuer was revealed to be Tokoyami—who was now climbing down with a rope. "Hey, Tokoyami," Midoriya greeted.

"Sorry about the wait," he said.

"Uraraka, do you hear that?" Iida exclaimed to the supposedly unconscious Ochako. "We're gonna be okay!"

"Alright, let's take Uraraka up first since she's unconscious," Tokoyami said.

"Understood," Midoriya said, "but we're hurt so we can't help."

Iida shook his head, "Is it alright for only one person to carry someone unconscious?"

"No worries," Tokoyami said, summoning Dark Shadow, "I'm two in one."

Tokoyami and Dark Shadow transferred Ochako to the carrier and Minoko watched as she was carried up the chasm. "Alright, next," Tokoyami said.

"I think Kaeda should go next," Midoriya said.

Iida nodded, "She's been very quiet."

Tokoyami walked over to where she sat and crouched down, "Kaeda, do you know where you are right now?"

Minoko's eyes wandered around trying to think of an answer. What did Midoriya say again?"Kaeda?" Tokoyami repeated.

Act dumb,"Kaeda who?" Minoko asked with slurred words as Midoriya suggested earlier.Fuck! This is why the drama club doesn't want you!

"I think she has a concussion," Tokoyami commented, ignoring how dumb how ridiculous the situation was. Bless him. "Dark Shadow."

Dark Shadow flew closer to Tokoyami, "What?"

"We're movin her next," Tokoyami said, commanding Dark Shadow to start carrying her.

"Ah, so cute," Minoko said with a giggle, petting the shadow's head.

"Stop it," a red blush spread across Dark Shadow's cheeks as he held her gently by the arms, preventing her from plummeting to the ground when she stumbled.

"Don't flatter him, it'll get to his head," Tokoyami said.

"Fumikage! Stop being rude, Iamcute," Dark Shadow exclaimed.

"Very," Minoko nodded her head, giggling.

"Don't move your head around too much," Tokoyami said, placing a hand on her forehead to stop her movements. He and Dark Shadow helped Minoko sit down on the carrier that Yaoyorozu had lowered after receiving Ochako.

Minoko held onto the sides as she was lifted up, squinting her eyes as the bright light hit her eyes. "Hello there," Yaoyorozu greeted her, "How are you feeling? Do you have any serious injuries?"

"You're really pretty," Minoko said, completely ignoring the questions.

"Thank you, and you are wonderful yourself," Yaoyorozu said, a patient smile on her lips. "Do you have any major injuries?" she repeated.

"I…" Minoko slurred, "No. I think? I dunno. Is that a plane? Oh wait, it's the lights."

"Since you are unsure, I will be checking for injuries myself," Yaoyorozu said, "Please tell me if you get uncomfortable."

Minoko let Yaoyorozu check her extremities only to find a few 'cuts' and 'bruises'—which she treated quickly—and a 'bump' on her head. She created an ice bag and passed it to her, "Please keep the ice bag on this spot," she instructed, helping the girl walk over to where Ochako was laying down. "I will be back in a bit, please do not fall asleep in the meantime," she said.

"Yo," Ochako whispered

"Aren't you supposed to be unconscious?" Minoko snickered, "Why were you laughing?"

"Aren't you supposed to be concussed?" Ochako said back, "Why were you acting like a giggly drunk?"

Minoko groaned, "Touche," she said. "I can't help it. Besides, you've been unconscious before, I've never been concussed."

"But have you been drunk?" Ochako asked, "That is the question."

"What have I walked into?" Midoriya asked.

"Nothing," Minoko said, "'cause you're supposed to have a broken leg, why are you 'walking'?"

"Oh, I forgot," he said, immediately plopping down beside them.

"We are terrible at this," Minoko sighed.

Midoriya nodded.

"Haveyou been—"

"No!"

"You three!" Iida's voice broke through the conversation. "Are you alright?"

"Yeah," Midoriya said, "What about you?"

"Of course!" Iida exclaimed, "We should thank our heroes after they debrief us."

And that they did. Afterwards, the class watched other performances such as Midoriya, Ojirou and Ochako's rescue of Tsuyu who had a broken leg. Thirteen clapped her hands, "Wonderful performance everyone. For our last group of rescuees, we have Sero, Ashido, Mineta and Aoyama performing the same scenario. While the rescuers are Jirou, Kaeda, Shouji, and Kaminari."

While waiting for the civilians to settle at the bottom of the chasm, the rescuers were devising a plan. "I can bring up the worried one and one with the broken leg without harming them using my quirk," Minoko said.

"Is that safe? Even for the one with the broken leg?" Jirou asked.

Minoko nodded, "As long as they don't move around, they'll arrive in the same positions they left."

"Okay, that'll save us a lot of time," Shouji nodded in approval. "Since they're all pretty light, I'll be staying up here to pull the carrier up."

"I'll do the first aid once they're up here," Jirou volunteered.

"Great that means," Minoko looked over to Kaminari who was already nodding his head.

"I'll go down with you," he said.

"Alright, start!"

Shouji—with Jirou's help—started lowering the carrier. Minoko peeked over the edge, "Everyone, please stay calm, we're coming to get you now."

"Kaeda! I wouldn't mind being carried to safety by a hot—" Mineta was cut off by the worried civilian.Thank goodness for that.

"Heroes! We're saved!" Ashido exclaimed. "Please come quick!"

"We will, I just have a question for you," Minoko said, "What is the situation down there?"

"I'm fine, Mineta has a broken leg, Sero's pretty unresponsive and Aoyama's unconscious."

"I can't hear her," Minoko grumbled, as Ashido trailed off voice getting softer and softer.

"You can swap with Mineta and Ashido," Jirou said, an earphone jack dug into the ground.

Minoko smiled, "Thanks." She then turned to the blond, "C'mon Kaminari."

She briefly explained to the victims what was gonna happen before she activated her quirk, sending herself to the pocket dimension before swapping with Mineta. Once at the bottom of the chasm, she swapped Ashido with a crumpled paper. "Kaminari!" She called, and the boy peaked over the edge.

Minoko focused on him before going into her pocket dimension and swapping with the boy. She was back at the top and using the crumpled paper and a bracelet, she brought Ashido and Mineta out. "Mineta and Ashido, received!" Jirou said, immediately tending to them.

Minoko then dropped a hair clip to the bottom of the chasm before swapping with it. She arrived at the bottom as Shouji finished lowering the carrier. She used another hair clip to bring Kaminari out. "That place had so much stuff!" he commented.

"We can talk about the roomafterthe training exercise," she pointed out, receiving an 'o' face from the boy.

"Hello, we're here to help," Kaminari started, walking over to Aoyama's unconscious body. "We start with the unconscious right?"

"Yeah," Minoko said, glancing over to Sero, "We'll get you out next," she assured before helping Kaminari carry Aoyama to the carrier.

She gave Shouji an okay sign, and the carrier started ascending. She asked Kaminari to look out for it in case anything happens while she talks to Sero. "Hello," she crouched down, "How are you feeling?"

"...fine, I think?" Sero said, slurring his speech exaggeratedly.

Minoko had to stop a laugh from escaping her.Professionalism even in training, she reminded herself. "Alright, my friend and I are gonna help you to that carrier and another hero will pull you up, is that okay?"

"...yeah."

Kaminari approached them, saying that the carrier was back. The two helped Sero to the carrier and let Shouji pull him up. Once the carrier was out of sight, Kaminari turned to her. "How are we gonna get up?"

"Shit," she mumbled.

Kaminari whined, "Don't tell me we're gonna have to be rescued. We're supposed to be the rescuers."

Minoko laughed, "Of course I have a way back. I wouldn't suggest this if I didn't," she said, grabbing two bracelets, throwing them up as far as she could.

She focused on them before getting her and Kaminari to the pocket dimension. She grabbed her hair clips and the one bracelet before exchanging herself and Kaminari with the bracelets. Kaminari didn't have the time to scream as they were positioned in midair as Minoko, briefly letting go of Kaminari, threw the hair clips up. She grabbed Kaminari again and taps her shoulder with her right hand sending them in and exchanged. They ended up way above the platform to which Minoko performed a final swap with another pair of bracelets, which she threw to the ground near Shouji.

When they landed, Kaminari held his heart, "I'm gonna start growing gray hair at age fifteen. This is the most horrible day for Kaminari Denki. A warning would be appreciated next time!"

"Sorry!" Minoko clapped her hands together.

"Absolutely amazing performance from our last group!" Thirteen praised, "Having two victims up and getting treatment immediately, while rescuing the other two at the same time was very efficient! As heroes, time is important as even a single second could cause someone's life."

Thirteen let everyone gather around her before continuing, "We have more battle scenarios prepared for you. Meaning, we're not through yet!"

"Don't relax," Mr. Aizawa said, making everyone tense up. "Class is still in session."

The class was led to a fake city which was in ruins. Everyone was ever so slightly chattering, and Minoko took this chance to retrieve all her accessories from the pocket dimension before coming back. "Now we're in this setting," Thirteen began, "The reason why we're here is to give a more genuine experience. The injured can be anywhere and we don't know what state they're in," she explained. "For this exercise, 4 of you are gonna act as rescuers, while the rest must hide wherever you want—with 8 of you unable to speak."

"It's like hide and seek!" Ashido exclaimed.

"Almost," Thirteen nodded, "Now, the four who will be searching will be, you four." She pointed at Bakugou, Mineta, Ochako, and Midoriya.

"Why do I have to search with Deku?!" Bakugou yelled.

"They're no helping it," Ochako started, " we're in the Anime Festa."

Minoko started looking around, as Bakugou yelled again, "Why do I feel like a wall just broke."

"Eh?" Kaminari looked around too, "Are we starting already?"

"When you carry the victims, you can touch their chest or ass!" Mineta started, staring at Ashido and Tsuyu's butts. "Is that considered an evil deed?!"

Minoko walked over and wrapped her cloak around the grape boy's face, blocking his eyes ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶b̶r̶e̶a̶t̶h̶i̶n̶g̶ "If that's the first thing you think of when we're not even starting then yeah!"

"You are forbidden to carry them, Mineta," Midoriya said, giving the boy who was struggling to remove the cloak a look.

"You have two minutes to hide, begin!"

Minoko immediately rushed off with the rest of the class. She separated from the group, trying to find a tall enough building with a broken wall she can call through, and a blocked entrance so the rescuers will have to find a way to get her down. Can't make it too easy for them now, can I?

She found a building with a gaping hole to the side, the debris from it, falling to block the entrance.Perfect, she thought, looking for a way up there. Minoko walked back until the inside of the building was visible. She spotted a fallen over filing cabinet and exchanged positions with it.

Minoko coughed as her nostrils were filled with dust, "Geez," she muttered, waving her hand around to swat away the dust. She settled on the floor next to a big tinted window, so she can still see what was happening outside, and at the same time stay hidden.

Two minutes should have passed by now, and seeing as Mineta and Midoriya passed her hiding spot, she can say that she's picked a great spot. A couple more minutes had passed and she was starting to get bored. "Maybe it'stoogood of a hiding spot," she muttered.

Minoko perked up when her ears picked up the sound of an engine. Looking out the window, she spots Iida running. He isn't part of the rescue team…what is he doing? From what she understood, they weren't supposed to change hiding spots once the two minutes were up. Minoko stood up,Something's wrong.Iida wasn't one to break rules.

"Iida!!" She called to her classmate, as she stood by the hole on the wall.

Iida searches for where the voice came from and spots her, "Kaeda! We have to go back!"

"Eh? Is the exercise over—"

"There's a villain!"

"Hah?!"

Minoko ran through the ruined city, exchanging herself with debris on the ground to move faster and keep up with Iida. "We have to inform the teachers immediately," he said.

"How did they even get in? Were they left behind from the USJ attack?" Minoko asked before shaking her head. She eyed another toppled over lamp post and exchanged with it. "That doesn't make sense, the attack was weeks ago!"

A huge gust of wind reached them as another building fell over. The villain was right behind them. Minoko swapped forward again, and spotted Ochako and Jirou. "Hey you two! We have to run!" she yelled, catching their attention.

"It's Keada and Iida," Jirou said, "why do we have to—"

She was cut off by Iida running faster to grab onto the three of them and push them away from the particularly strong attack in coming. "What's going on?" Ochako asked.

"It's a villain," Iida said.

Revealing himself, a bulky guy with a mask stepped out of the smoke, making everyone close by tense up."It can't be," Ochako said.

Minoko followed her line of sight, her eyes widening. There, held by the villain, was an unconscious Todoroki. "He's got the strongest in the class," Jirou muttered.

"That's why we have to call for a teacher," Iida said.

Looking around, Minoko sees Ojirou reach Mr. Aizawa and Thirteen, reporting the situation. "What a situation, we're injured and can't fight."

"We should run to the exit, quickly!" Thirteen exclaimed.

Before they could even make a move the villain spoke, "You can't escape, I will finish you all!"

Minoko hears her classmates, as well as herself, yell as the villain lands a kick to the ground, making everything rumble and buildings fall over.

Minoko coughs, swatting her hand to clear her vision. They were all in a clear area circled in by the buildings. "Alright, the terrain is clear. Now not even one can escape!"

Minoko's eyes searched frantically, and found the villain to be correct. There was nothing around them other than buildings too high for her to see the tops of, meaning she can't even use her quirk to get anyone up there.

Maybe I can…Minoko tried walking towards one of the buildings as subtly as she could. She could probably take one of the buildings in her pocket dimension and make a hole in the circle for the rest of them to go through.

Before she could reach the rows of buildings, Minoko yelped as the ground shook beneath her, cracking. She felt someone wrap their arms around her waist, dragging her with them before the ground opened up and swallowed her whole.Iida, she thought as the boy turned off his engines, letting her down to the ground.

"Like I said, there will be no escaping!" The villain announced.

"Everyone! Run away!" Just as Thirteen yelled this, Bakugou blasted himself towards the villain landing an explosion on him, yet he doesn't look affected at all.

"You run, I'll defeat him," Bakugou declared, landing on the ground away from the enemy.

If only it was that easy,Minoko thought. What's the point of having a quirk when I can't even use it.She thought about attempting her plan again, but she was sure that the villain had his eyes on her like he knew what she was planning.Which is odd, now that I think about it. Does he somehow know our quirks?

"You have guts to decide something like that in such a moment!" The villain yelled as Bakugou attacked him once more. Minoko watched as Bakugou jumped out of the way of an attack and shot himself above the villain, landing behind him and blasting an explosion to the enemy's back—which in turn, pushed Bakugou backwards.

The blond boy landed near her and Iida. "Hey! Don't just stand there and make the weaklings run!"

"Why do you have to insult others," Iida said.

"Oi, Bakugou!" A voice called from above them. Kirishima came into view, his hands on his hips, "Who are you calling weaklings?"

Yaoyorozu appeared beside him, "We are 21 students of UA's hero course, Class 1A."

"We're here to be heroes too!" Ochako exclaimed.

"Well, we did already fight villains before," Minoko said, with an exasperated look, "what's another one?" She was not at all looking forward to this fight.

"How brave," the villain said, "however…" he thrusted an arm up making bits of the ground hurl towards them.

Aoyama, Kirishima, and Satou broke them apart. Minoko collected the bigger broken down pieces as Sero went to wrap tape around the villain. Yaoyorozu made a cannon and shot a net out to the villain, and Minoko followed the net up by throwing her bracelets towards the villain, swapping them with the same bits of debris that he had thrown at them.

The debris was hurling towards the trapped villain as the others readied to attack him when he suddenly broke through the tape and net, punching the debris apart—creating a large gust of air, able to throw them back.

Minoko landed next to Tsuyu. She sat up, clicking her tongue at the villain who was once again avoiding Bakugou's explosions.

"Iida, Mineta, Uraraka, Kaeda, Asu—Tsuyu," Midoriya looked to them, "I have a plan."

Minoko, Mineta, and Iida, circled around the villain who was distracted by Bakugou's attacks. "This should be a good spot," Iida said, making them stop.

Minoko crouched to the ground and used her remaining accessories to exchange it with large pieces of debris she had gathered when she swapped herself with them as she moved across the ruined city earlier. It fell to the ground and they immediately started arranging it into an upright platform.

"Mineta," Minoko said, ushering him to complete the trap.

"I know, I know," he said, frantically throwing the sticky balls all over the platform.

In the distance, they hear Midoriya yell as he sped towards Todoroki. "We have to get away from here," Iida said, grabbing Mineta and Minoko, before speeding towards a safe zone, away from the blast of Midoriya's quirk.

"It's not moving him," Minoko said, watching the scene in front of her as Iida set her on the ground. The villain had both hands out, not even budging from his spot.

"DIE!" A loud explosion came to blast the villain from behind.

Minoko had to cover her ears and close her eyes as the bright explosion blew the villain away. She opened them again and found the villain stuck in their trap. "It worked!" she exclaimed, watching Bakugou march over to the villain who was struggling to get out of the trap.

"Now time for the final touch," Bakugou said, lighting explosions on his palm.

"Wait—I—I AM HERE!" The mask came off, revealing,

"ALL MIGHT?!"

The hero laughed, "I wanted to make a villain appear in the end as a surprise!" he exclaimed. "And as expected from the hero course, you handled the situation well!"

Everyone surrounded the hero with a dark look on their faces."...Sorry."

"You went overboard, moron!" Bakugou, Kirishima, Kaminari, and Sero exclaimed.

"Is he serious?" Minoko dropped to the floor, "are they trying to give us trauma?" she muttered to herself. "Go for the shoulders!" She called to the three giving a piece of their mind to All Might, with Bakugou standing over them, giving All Might his own scolding. No wonder he was too aware of our quirks.

In the corner of her eye, she spots red and white, "Ah! Todoroki! Were you in on this too?!" Minoko threw an accusing finger towards the boy.

"Sorry."

"Seriously?" Minoko sighed. "Well, even if you were in on this, I'm glad you're okay," she smiled at him.

"How cruel, All Might!" Ashido yelled.

"I'm sorry!"

"Midoriya harmed a finger because of this!" Iida reprimanded, "Don't you think this is a bad image for the school?!"

Ochacko hummed and gave him a pout, "Don't do that again!"" she said, then looking at Midoriya behind her, "Right, Deku?"

Midoriya fell to the ground, chuckling a bit, "I'm just glad it was just a surprise."

"Young Midoriya," All Might said, a relieved look on his face.

"Oi! All Might! You're not in any place to be playing favorites now!" Minoko exclaimed.

"Don't go 'Young Midoriya'!"

They continued to tell All Might off for the stunt he pulled before they were all calmed down by Thirteen. Once All Might was released from the trap, he was then told off by Mr. Aizawa.Maybe that's why he seemed pissed off when they asked where All Might was earlier,Moinoko thought. Mr. Aizawa didn't seem to like the exercise either.

"Well, everyone, that would be all for today," Thirteen said, leading them towards the exit. "You all did well for your first rescue training! There are some parts that could use a bit of work, but that's where more training will come in. Soon enough, rescue will come to you as naturally as breathing does!"

The bus arrived not too long after. "Everyone on," Mr. Aizawa said, ushering them inside.

Minoko sat at her seat between Sero and Kouda as she did when they first tried to conduct the rescue training, where she had a perfect view of the bus door. Before All Might could get in the bus with them, Mr Aizawa stood in his way. "You can walk back to campus, " he said, hitting a button and closing the bus' doors.

Twisting around on their seats, she and the other students waved goodbye at All Might who stood dumbfoundedly in front of the facility.

"EH?!"

I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter! Next up, we have the start of the Sports Festival ft. the Obstacle Course!

TRIVIA!!

After dropping her dream of wanting to be a hero during fifth grade, she went to look for other things to do, which is dubbed by Aki as her 'Self-Discovery Journey.' In these 4 years she has gone through multiple activities, including: Drawing, creative writing, ribbon dancing, cooking, baking, crocheting, sewing, music (guitar, and singing), acting, going to the gym, being class representative, track team, playing board games, volunteering.

Only a few of these lasted more than a month, including track team (3 months), gym (6 months), ribbon dancing (7 months), class representative (1 year), volunteering (2 years).

She cannot act for the life of her, making acting the shortest activity she tried, which only lasted for less than two weeks. This makes her tells when lying very obvious.
