Harry had never seemed to notice it before, but time passed fast when you spent it in shock.
He went from feral to a ghost, haunting the town without anyone noticing him. He stayed in people's dining rooms, curling up on their tables and leaving by the morning.
There was a piece of his invisibility cloak in his arm. No one would notice him, even if he tried. With no wand to control it, his magic had probably gone rampant and strengthened the cloak's effects.
It was hard to look into Harry's mind during the ideal. It was a jumble of constantly turning thoughts, none of which made much sense. Time blurred into nothingness as he wandered through Magnolia.
He always noticed the city growing out of the corner of his eyes. More wizards came and guilds formed and fell. Dragons attacked the city, but were repelled by a strange pink haired man. The pink haired family died out. Towers spiraled into the sky, only to fall to attacks by dark guilds. Everything was such a fast moving blur to Harry; he didn't understand, nor did he want to.
It was five years, fifty years, hundreds of years, one year before Harry snapped out of it. His hair hadn't grown an inch longer, and dirt once again caked his body like a cast.
There, on the corner to the pretty fairy building was a man. He had a shot glass in his hand and was nonchalantly sipping out of it. His red-brown hair was spiked up in all directions like a lion's mane, and he wore a pair of thin shades.
For a moment, Harry thought he saw Loke, but dusted off the notion.
Then, months later, Harry saw the same man by the side of a river. A blonde haired girl with a sailor-like uniform was running after him, yelling about problems and things being wrong.
Harry could have sworn he saw the man sulking like a little child, just like Loke used to do, but he had disappeared from sight before Harry could confirm anything.
Just to be safe, in case he met the man again, Harry took a bath in the river that day. His clothes were in tatters and barely covering his privates, but it was better than reverting back into animal mode if he hadn't already.
Close to two weeks later, the man almost got run over by a car. Harry tried to save the man, but he jumped out of the way in time and landed on the ground. The woman from before yelled at the man and scolded him for his tendency to space out.
Harry followed the man. He entered the Fairy Tail Guild building.
That night, Harry camped out on one of the park benches, reading up on 'Fairy Tail'. There were stories of porn stars and dragon slayers, masters and mysterious men who were there one day and gone the next, but no mention of a celestial spirit. There was a picture of the blonde haired woman holding up a golden celestial key, but the symbol upon it didn't hold any resemblance to the one on Loke's.
Weeks later- or was it days? Harry was still shaky on the whole time thing- Harry saw the man heading towards a psychiatrist's office of all things. Harry followed the man to the building and slipped inside. He maneuvered through the first floor until he came to a staircase. He ascended it and came onto the second floor, which had a large window that overlooked the outside. There was no real reason to look through it; if anything, Harry just wanted to get a good look at the man.
Loke had always had a certain type of posture that set him apart in a crowd, and Harry could see this man had one that was rather similar, if not identical. He had a slight bit of a slouch in his back, but he carried such pride with it.
Harry saw someone passing and yelled to them, but they ignored him.
"Can you help me?" he asked. "I need to know if you know the man down there."
Ignored by passerby one and passerby two, Harry turned to look out the window once more. There was the man, looking straight up at him with two brown eyes. Harry turned around and then looked back out the window. The man had changed his focus of attention from Harry to the office's door.
The man must not recognize him then, Harry reasoned. He's not Loke.
But the occurrences kept happening. Next there was a fight between the man and the blonde girl, and then the man fainted right in front of Harry.
Harry crouched down, and then got back up on his feet. His mouth dropped open.
"Loke?"
A man with blue hair and a rather busty woman rushed over to the man on the ground, the woman taking him in her arms and the blue haired man rushing off to find a 'Wendy'.
Harry panicked. His magic rewakened around him, transfiguring his tattered clothes into a modest black robe. He bit his lower lip, and his hair stood on end.
"God, Loke," he whispered. "You're Loke."
Loke stared up at him, eyes glassy and so afraid, yet hopeful at the same time. "Harry?" he whispered back. "I see you, Harry. Mira, can you see him?"
The woman turned around. "Loke, there's no one there," she soothed. "Just a pile of leaves."
"No," Loke argued, his head shaking from side to side. "There's Harry."
"Describe Harry to me, love."
"He's my Mage."
"Yeah," Harry whispered, knowing that only Loke could hear him. "I guess I still am."
Mira smiled and shook her head from side to side. "Loke, you have no Master or Mage. You have your key now, remember?"
"But he's there," Loke argued, giving Mira a pleading look. "He talks to me. He's still there; I'm not insane."
"No, you're not," Harry confirmed, kneeling down to cradle Loke's head with one small hand. "I'm right here. Can you feel me?"
"I can feel you," Loke said. "I can feel you. You're so alive. I'm not insane."
Mira pursed her lips. "Loke, no one's there. I already told you. There's just thin air!"
"No, there's Harry."
"Loke-"
"I can see him, Mira. I can feel him. I can remember him and I don't know why you don't see him. It's wonderful."
"Come on Loke. Let's get you to Wendy." Mira stood up, holding Loke in her arms. Harry was knocked backwards onto his rump by her motion. With that she left, Loke in tow.
Harry tried to get up, but no matter how hard he tried to move, his muscles refused to budge. He magic poured onto the ground around him.
"Harry!" Loke screamed from Mira's arms. "Mage! Harry! HARRY!"
Before he knew it, Loke and Mira were gone.
