Today I said goodbye to Erebor, the dwarves, your mother, and you. I went down and visited your tomb one last time. Did you hear me when I told you how much I love you?

I'm sorry I have to leave you now. I can't bear to stay any longer. The sun rises and sets, and the moon waxes and wanes, yet I find no joy or peace in the blackest night or the brightest day. When I look at the stars, I think about the sound of your voice when you called my name, and when I look at the sun, I remember your smile.

I want to remember you because I love you, but I want to forget you because I miss you so much.

It hurts so much. I want to die. I want to be with you.

Wish you were here,

Tauriel.
