November 3, 2941 T.A.
Today I asked the Lady if the things I saw in the mirror will come to pass. She only said, "Some things are certain, and some things are uncertain."
"Will the world end in a great battle?" I asked her.
"Yes," she said. "All worlds do."
"Will I be with Kili, at the end of the world?" I asked. I was so afraid to ask; I was so afraid that the answer would be no.
"Perhaps," she murmured. "Even I do not know all the secrets of the mirror."
We walked through the woods for a while, and I said to her, "Perhaps then I have found a reason to hope again."
She smiled at me and whispered, "There is always hope."
Wish you were here,
Tauriel.
