Chapter 1
The incident
It was commercial time and Castiel had already used some of it to refill his water. He turned to his co-host, Dean Winchester. The man was handsome and he'd been trying to get his attention romantically now for a few months. Crew members were running about before the next segment started.
"So, you want to go to the new BBQ place on third?" He started casually.
"Yeah, I've been trying to find time to go. Friday?" Dean asked.
"After our shift, sure." Castiel smiled.
Then Dean had to dash his hopes. "I think Sammy might like it too. Benny told me they have vegetable kebabs."
"Well, I kinda we could go there first and see if it's worth a second trip..." He trailed off.
"He won't mind. It's been a while since we hung out." Dean added.
Castiel finally snapped. "Dean Winchester, I'm trying to ask you out because I love you!"
In his ire, he failed to see the signals from the Floor Director. His confession was live on television. Dean, stunned and kinda confused, looked at the teleprompter.
"A semi truck carrying steel beams has stalled on I-66 and caused major delays." He announced.
In the back, Charlie screamed in despair. Castiel realized his mistake and wished be anywhere else.
