Chapter 16: Meeting the Sully Kids
The Doctor found herself in the company of the Sully kids: Lo'ak, Tuk, and Kiri. She was immediately impressed by how switched on they were, asking her numerous questions about time and space. Their enthusiasm was infectious, and even their brother Sam was embarrassed by their curiosity. He nodded and laughed along with the stories the Doctor shared with them.
Later on, Sam had a chance to meet Graham, Yaz, and Ryan. He greeted them in perfect Navi and engaged in a conversation with them. Afterward, he made a decision and told them that they should stay with the Doctor. However, he advised them to remember that while the worlds they would see and the people they would meet would be amazing, they couldn't choose how the story would end. Graham acknowledged his words, promising to keep that in mind.
The Doctor announced that it was time to leave, and Sam and Kate followed her. Just before they departed, the Doctor gave Sam a parting gift—a brand new sonic screwdriver, sleek with a blue tip and new settings. She explained that it was made in Sheffield. Sam smiled gratefully and suggested that the Doctor keep the other one and give it to someone who had earned it.
In a heartfelt moment, Sam hugged the Doctor and invited her to come back anytime. With a mischievous twinkle in her eyes, the Doctor replied, "Try and stop me." And with that, they bid their farewells and went their separate ways, knowing that their paths might cross again in the vastness of time and space.
