A SwanQueen fluffy/angst family story.
Set before the curse broke. Regina hears some one singing in the woods wile taking a walk so she goes to spy on whoever it is. It turns out to be Emma so Regina hides behind a bush and watches. Emma is singing "I want a Mom" ( the song from "Rugrats in Paris". Here's the lyrics)
I want a mom that will last forever
I want a mom to make it all better
I want a mom that will last forever
I want a mom who love me whatever
I want a mom to take my hand
and make me feel like a holiday
A mom to tuck me in at night
and chase the mosters away
I want a mom to read me stories
and sing a lullaby
And if I have a bad dream, to hold me when I cry
Oh, I want a mom that will last forever
I want a mom to make it all better
I want a mom that will last forever
I want a mom that will love me whatever, forever
And when she says to me that she'll always be there
To watch and protect me, I don't have to be scared
O, and when she says I will always love you,
I want need to worry cause i'll know that it's true
I want a mom when I get lonely, to take the time to play
A mom who can be a friend and find a rainbow when it gray
I want a mom to read me stories and sing a lullaby
And if I find a bad dream, to hold me when I cry
Chorus (repeat twice)
I want a mom
I want a mom
I want a mom that will last forever
I want a mom that will last forever
I want a mom
I want a mom
I want a mom that will last forever
I want a mom
I want a mom that will last forever
Wile Emma is singing she is also brushing a Barbie dolls hair.
Regina realizes that Emma wants to be mothered; wants a chance at being a child. Regina then comes up with a plan that when the curse brakes, Emma will think of Regina as her mom not Snow White. If Regina is going to lose her curse, then she will make it so that she also wins in the end.
So Regina starts sending her anonyms presents and notes to her house like clothes and accesories for her Barbie.
But Regina finds herself getting to into it. She starts bringing Emma lunch at the station.
In one of the notes Regina left, she left her phone number. Regina starts reading Emma bedtime stories over the phone. Emma isn't able to recognize her over the phone because she sounds different over the phone.
But Regina has to find a way to reveal herself to Emma for her plan to work.
