A/N: Hey guys! Another chapter, enjoy!

JJ didn't know who pulled back first but suddenly they were standing back, looking at each other for answers.

"What the hell JJ?" the man said, his voice raised slightly.

"I know, I'm sorry James." JJ said shaking her head in disgust at herself. She felt the tears building at the corner of her eyes but she willed them away.

James just sighed looking at the blonde agent. "Look, don't be sorry, I'm just worried."

JJ almost flinched at the softness of his voice. He had feelings for her and she had tried to use him. It was fine to do that years ago because they were both using each other and no one was getting hurt but now it was different.

"I'm still sorry, I shouldn't have done that." JJ said not able to look him in the eye. "I'm fine, you don't have to worry."

"I know you're not." James said giving her a knowing look. "We may not have worked together long but I know when something's not right." James said stepping towards her. "Just talk to someone, if not me, then anyone. Please." James said almost begging JJ. He was scared what would happen with all of these emotions built up.

"I've talked to Pen a bit." JJ shrugged, looking away.

James sighed knowing he wouldn't get anywhere. "Why'd you stop?" James said referring to the kiss, out of curiosity. JJ just shrugged her shoulders. "Was it because of your boss?" James asked knowingly.

"What?" JJ squeaked.

"Come on JJ, I see the way he looks at you! He's in love with you." James said, like it was the most obvious thing in the world. JJ just stared at him, dumbfounded. Hotch didn't love her, he couldn't.

"How do you know?" JJ managed to get out.

"Because, the way I look at you, he looks at you like that 1000 times more." James said with a smile. James wasn't sure if he loved JJ or not, he was pretty sure he just had feelings for her. But then again, he was taught not to fall in love so he probably wouldn't know how to distinguish between being in love and having feelings for someone. That didn't mean he couldn't see the love for JJ that her boss had though.

JJ just stared at him, shocked once again. She couldn't believe it.

"Do you love him?" James asked smirking because he knew the answer.

"Spies don't fall in love James." JJ said before turning away reaching for the bottle of scotch.

"That's not what I asked." James replied. "And don't you think you've had enough of that?" pointing to the half empty bottle and the smashed glass.

"Nope." JJ said with no room for argument, ignoring his earlier statement before pouring two glasses and passing one to James. They sat down on the couch next to each other in a comfortable silence. A few minutes passed when James spoke up.

"You're not a spy anymore." James said pointing out the obvious.

"What?" JJ asked confused at the statement.

"You said 'spies don't fall in love', you aren't one anymore." James said with a slight smirk. He really just wanted JJ to be happy and she would be happier with Hotch than she would be with him.

JJ rolled her eyes but she let a small smile appear on her face. "I think it's time for you to be going now." JJ said standing up.

James laughed. "Ok, ok." He said putting his hands up in defence. "I'll go." He opened his arms out for JJ to hug and she accepted.

She hugged him tight around his waist and laid her head on his chest for a few seconds, relishing the comfort his arms provided.

"Thanks James." JJ said kissing his cheek in a friendly manner before stepping back. James just nodded, glad he had made her feel better.

"Think about what I said." He said giving JJ a look before leaving the room.

JJ leaned against the door, eyes closed, breathing in and out. She already felt better.

JJ was woken up in the middle of the night by a loud shrill from her phone.

"Shit." JJ hissed as the pain shot through her shoulder as she sat up.

"Jareau." JJ said gritting her teeth due to the pain.

"Code red Jareau." The man said on the other end, his voice calm but there was slight panic evident.

JJ's eyes widened. She was in danger, possibly immediate danger.

"Sir?" JJ questioned before rushing as quickly as she could with her injury to gather her weapons and equipment.

"We have intel that a few of Slovak's employees have nearly figured out your identity. They've pieced together some information and they're close to finding out your job with the FBI and you're current undercover work with Hamba and Lafar." The man explained.

JJ's heart started beating fast and she could feel her hands begin to shake. The whole team could be in danger because of this.

"They haven't quite worked it out yet but it's only a matter of time. Hours to be precise. You're too valuable to us, we can't have your identity at risk or your life. And it could affect all your successful assignments, meaning criminals could walk free." The man said quickly. "Take them out. I'll send you a list of their profiles and locations. Good luck." He finished quickly before hanging up, not giving JJ the chance to reply.

A few moments later the profiles of her targets appeared on her tablet. There were four of them, three men and a woman. They were all at the same location, her eyes widen in shock, another warehouse a few blocks away from the one Hamba had been operating. 'Oh god, they're closer than I thought.' JJ thought to herself before taking a few deep breaths and calming herself down. She gathered the rest of her equipment including her sniper rifle, put her black coat on with much difficulty and swallowed two of her painkillers before heading off into the night.
