JJ became alert immediately as she saw Hotch's expression change.

"What is it Hotch?" JJ asked confused.

"President Obama has been taken hostage." Hotch replied and even he was unable to stop the panic showing in his voice.

JJ's face paled as soon as the words left his mouth. 'Oh god' JJ thought before Hotch's voice shook her out of her thoughts.

"I'll drive; it'll keep the pressure off your injuries." Hotch said before he got out of the car and they switched sides.

"Hamba and Lafar?" JJ asked although she was pretty sure it was.

"It seems most likely." Hotch said worried, as he started the car. "Look, normally I would tell you to go back to the hotel and not go back into the field given your injuries but we really need you here JJ." Hotch said frowning a little; he didn't want JJ hurt anymore.

"Say no more Hotch, you've got me." JJ said giving him a reassuring smile. "I'll be fine." She confirmed, confidently.

"Ok, good." Hotch nodded.

"Where are they holding The President?" JJ asked trying to stay as calm as possible.

"The DC Conference Hall." Hotch said. "It's not far from the Whitehouse." He explained even though JJ already knew that. "Prentiss said President Obama was holding a conference there for over a hundred politicians." Hotch said worried.

JJ's eyes went wide at that information. "You mean they have over a hundred politician's hostage as well." JJ asked shocked.

Hotch nodded hesitantly, confirming JJ's fear. "Prentiss didn't say much else but from what I gathered, no one escaped." Hotch explained.

"Jesus." JJ breathed out, hardly believing the whole situation.

"I know." Hotch nodded glancing over at her before turning back to the road. Meanwhile, JJ had a plan formulating in her head.

Ten minutes later, Hotch and JJ had arrived at the Conference Hall and the team greeted them as they came out the car.

"Oh god JJ, look at you." Emily gasped slightly when she saw the state of the blonde.

"I'm fine, really, it's just some cuts and bruises." JJ assured them not wanting them to make a fuss. "Let's just focus on this." JJ said motioning to the building behind them.

The team spoke for the next few minutes along with other agents and officers who were there. They had quickly confirmed that it was indeed Hamba and Lafar holding The President hostage. JJ got lost in thought for a few minutes. 'Do Hamba and Lafar know my real identity?' JJ thought. 'But then if they did, they would have killed me before they carried out their attack, they would have hated me for deceiving them, they wouldn't have let me get off lightly. But why didn't they tell me, about the attack they were planning?' JJ was leaning more towards that they didn't know about her identity but there was still no way of knowing.

"What are you thinking JJ?" Morgan asked startling JJ out of her thoughts and theories.

JJ hesitated. "I think I should go in." JJ said internally cringing at the suggestion, knowing it would not sit well with the team.

"Are you insane?!" Morgan exclaimed.

"Look, I'm pretty sure I haven't been made yet by Hamba and Lafar." JJ stated.

"And if you have been made?" Rossi asked calmer than Morgan.

"I'll deal with that if I have to." JJ said confidently.

"And how are you going to explain all these injuries or even be able to function with them?" Emily asked incredulously.

"The pain isn't that bad, the medication pretty much numbs it and as for explaining them…I lied for a living for years, I'm pretty sure I can explain a few cuts and scrapes." JJ said playing it down, she was confident this would work; she just needed the team on board.

"How are you even going to get in, I'm pretty sure Hamba and Lafar will have this place on lockdown." Morgan said.

JJ nodded. "Probably but I'm a spy, you don't lose that or forget it no matter how long you've been out of the spy game." JJ explained.

"How do you know they won't just shoot you as soon as you go in there?" Hotch questioned raising his voice in worry.

JJ swallowed hard, meeting his eyes. "I don't. But I am willing to risk my life if it means The President's safety." JJ said truthfully. "There are probably a million reasons why I shouldn't do this and all of your reasons are also pretty valid but we need President Obama safe." JJ said firmly and the team couldn't disagree with that.

"Ok. Do what you have to do JJ." Hotch agreed reluctantly.

Suddenly and idea came to JJ. "Do you have a quiet space where we can go?" JJ asked a nearby officer.

"Yes, follow me ma'am." The young officer said making JJ grit her teeth at the use of the word 'ma'am' but she followed him, along with the team. He guided them over to a soundproof cabin.

"Here we are." He said opening the door.

"Thanks officer." JJ said hinting at him to leave.

"No problem." He said before leaving quickly.

"What is it JJ?" Reid asked frowning, wondering why they were in here.

JJ stayed silent but reached into her pocket pulling out a phone, the one Hamba had called her on to cancel the meeting. "His number should still be on this and hopefully I can make contact before I go in." JJ said, glad her plan was starting to come together.

JJ quickly found the number and called it.

"Wait don't you think you should have some sort of plan or so-" Emily began but JJ shushed her and motioned for someone to lock the door so they wouldn't be disturbed.

After a few rings, Hamba answered on the other end.

"Jessica?" he questioned.

"Yeah, it's me." JJ said.

"What is it? I'm kind of busy here." Hamba said gruffly.

"I can see that." JJ smirked quickly adapting to the persona of Jessica. "You're all over the news Hamba." JJ stated.

Hamba grunted in response, seemingly unfazed.

"I'm not that far away, you know. It'll only take me 10 minutes to get there tops." JJ said leaving the statement hanging.

"You want in on this?" he asked.

"Yep." JJ replied simply. "I still want revenge." JJ stated, her voice suddenly dark and cold.

"Fine." Hamba nodded on the other end of the line. He knew Jessica could come in handy. "How are going to get in? Through the front? I can open the entrance." Hamba said.

"No, not through the fucking front door." JJ said rolling her eyes, Hamba was intelligent but he was dumb at times. "Not with all the cops." JJ explained. If he did open the front entrance for her, he would probably question how she got in so easily. "I'll find away."

"Ok, don't fuck this up for us. We've been waiting years for this." Hamba said his voice chilling.

"I won't." JJ said confidently, which was enough to convince him. "See you soon." JJ said hanging up and letting out a breath she didn't realise she had been holding.

"There we go, done." JJ said seemingly pleased with how the call went.

The team eyed her uncertainly. "How do you know he doesn't know your real identity yet?" Morgan asked.

"I don't know for definite. But I was with these guys for 24 hours a day, for months on end. I studied them throughout those months and I've been able to pick up when they're lying, bluffing or putting on an act. Hamba wasn't putting on an act then and although I can't be 100% sure from his voice alone, it's enough for me to be confident on this." JJ said firmly and convincingly. "There's always a risk, but we need to take it." JJ finished.

"Ok, we trust your judgement gumdrop." Penelope said looking at the rest of the team who nodded somewhat reluctantly.

They left the cabin and they were met with James along with several other agents.

"I managed to make contact with the hostage takers, I'm pretty sure my cover hasn't been blown yet so everything is still going ahead as planned." JJ explained to them and they all nodded. "James-" JJ began but James cut her off.

"Don't worry; I'll get you everything you'll need." James assured her, knowing what she was going to ask.

"Thanks." She said with a small, grateful smile. "I'm gonna go get prepared. I'll be back soon." JJ said addressing the team before walking away, leaving an anxious group of agents behind her.
