Narrator's POV
In what can currently be seen, all that exists is a black void. There is no sound, light, wind, or even stars, but most importantly, one lifeform.
This lifeform, which looks almost exactly like a four-foot-six, sixty-three pounds human female, has no name or any memories prior to this appearing in this world. Her appearance consists of pale skin that looks like it would burn easily. Her long hair is pure white, with no hints of other colors, and stops just slightly above her ankles with her closed eyes being the same. Her attire is rather s,imple, being a long-sleeved white evening gown, with no adornments or patterns, and she is not currently wearing any shoes, leaving her feet exposed to the void, and by extension, whatever counts for the elements here. Lastly, her expression appears blank,
And now, this lifeform awakens to her surroundings…
?'s (The Human Female Being) POV
"Hmm… Huh? Where am I?"
When my eyes open, I am greeted by… nothing. I look around in all directions, somewhat panicked, and yet, I see the same thing; nothing. I only relax after looking down at my body, to which I see my appearance. Given my surroundings, looking at my own appearance just feels… welcoming, somehow. Maybe it's the amount of white, including a strand of hair on my gown, though a mirror would help.
I try to think of something else that might calm me down, but nothing comes to mind, and most worryingly, that includes my name or any memories at all. This causes me to start getting nervous again, as my appearance is human, but being unable to remember my name or recall memories of past events? That's not natural.
"Who am I?" I ask myself, worrying increasingly over this. At that moment, however, I heard something. A sound of… a portal opening? I looked in front of me, and saw that an open portal, making the exact sound I heard. Something was also floating out of the portal, something made of pure white light. It appeared female, as well as mature, and was tall, being roughly seven feet and one hundred ninety-eight pounds. She had not said anything though, so I didn't know what she sounded like or wanted. "Who are you!? S-Stay back!" I yelled, the silence from her actively driving my worries even worse given her silence. The being of pure white light opened her hands, and suddenly beneath me, a plain, transparent circular disc formed beneath me, to which gravity responded by dragging me down quickly. Before I could fall too far, the being of pure white light caught me in her arms, saying, "Sorry about that. I forget sometimes that in a void like this, gravity immediately decides to be harsh when constructs like those are formed." The voice what that of an elderly female, and was very gentle, almost angelic. From there, the being of pure white light, carrying me in her arms like a bride, floated slowly downward, almost like she was an actual angel.
When she landed, she slowly removed her right arm from under my legs, allowing me to safely plant my feet on the ground. I lifted my left foot off the ground quickly, though, because the floor itself was extremely cold. I nearly fell over because of that, but again the being of pure white light caught me before I could do so. After that, however, I carefully asked her, "Who are you?" She finally spoke, saying, "My name is Whitglow. I am the creator of this void, but not its god." This led me to ask, "Then, did you create me?" After all, if she created this void, and I have no name or memories, then, that would me she created me, right? She answered, "Yes, I did create you as well. That reminds me, do you have a name?"
I simply frowned and said, "No, actually. I just woke up, and when I tried to calm myself with my thoughts, I realized there were none, not even a name or people I know." Whitglow, in a sad tone, said, "I'm sorry for that, dear child. I meant to check on you immediately, but something came up. I would be happy to give you a name if you want one." My eyes widened, and my mouth turned into a smile. "Yes! I would be incredibly thankful if you gave me one, Mother!" I covered my mouth after that, realizing what I implied by saying that. Whitglow, however, simply smiled, and even laughed a little, simply saying, "There's no need to be ashamed about calling me that. I find it quite nice to be called that. In fact, I have the perfect name for you, my child!" "Really?" I said, excited. I would have an actual name to call myself by.
Whitglow said, "I name you Clarus Domina, my child. Your name is actually based off a human language known as Latin, where Clarus means bright, which your mostly white appearance basically make it fitting, and Domina which means lady, an mostly outdated term for a woman, though sometimes it is used as a polite term of reference."
My response was to hug her, and say, "Thank you, Mom!" I remembered the rest of my surroundings, though, saying, "But, what about the rest of this… void? Not exactly much of a world in this state, you know?" Whitglow responded by merely proudly laughing, before saying, "Allow me to fix that!" After that she formed an X with her arms, glowing brighter all the while, before throwing her arms out in a T-shape, causing a mass of pure white light to burst into darts that started flying everywhere, all while the void itself was, somehow, shaking! The shaking caused me to fall on my back, all while Whitglow just kept sending light everywhere. "Whitglow! Stop!" I said, panicked. Thankfully, it did stop, after which Whitglow completely collapsed on the ground, exhausted, and I responded with a very appropriate-for-this-scenario, "Was THAT necessary? You could have blown the entire void to pieces, and that includes me!" Whitglow simply looked at me and said, in a somewhat gentle tone, "Just look at what's happening, my child."
I looked, and right in front of me, seven darts of light were circling in front of us, before merging into one sphere of light, and then creating a set of stairs, which like the disc, were plain, transparent, and white. From there, more things appeared: more platforms, albeit with technology that looked like it belonged in the year 2023, to alternate means of transport that also looked like they were from 2023, and so on. However, the last two things that were formed were a sort of circular device, which at the top said, "DIMENSIONAL PORTAL WARP", which was in all caps, and then a platform that seemed to be special. It was at the top of the two hundred thirteen (yes, I counted) floors that were made, but there were two things that I noticed, those being a desk so long it nearly reached the entrance, and well as some chairs, but the one at the far-right end, was designed somewhat like a throne, as if it was only for me, or Whitglow.
There were still eight hundred sparks left, however, and seven hundred of them proceeded to dart straight for the ground, to which I, understandably, reacted to by curling up into a ball and screaming, because, well, the floor looked like glass, and glass is VERY fragile, so, the floor would break, right? Well, no, actually, at least not here, thankfully. Instead, the platforms themselves were completely unharmed, but had a flat circle of white light on them, which then proceeded to form something.
That something was other lifeforms. Some looked human or were outright humans, but others looked like someone took a specific idea, like a tarot card, or even an animal, vehicle, or whatever and created an embodiment of that idea, meaning I saw reasonable things like a humanoid, two-legged tyrannosaurus rex skeleton, and completely impossible things, like a literal floating crown wearing spade with no face or limbs that was somehow holding a sword with wind blowing around it and a shield, that was somehow talking, saying, "I am thy king of swords! Where art me throne?" That's not a joke, I swear!
However, there were still one hundred darts left, all of which were still in the air. "This is the best part," Whitglow says, having recovered enough stamina to stand up on her own. I looked up and saw that the darts of light were forming into a giant sphere, one so big it practically was a sun to us. It then exploded, with the result being the void gaining several stars, and a view of the sun above us, the moon below us, and the rest of the Solar System, at least for the Milky Way, to form around us.
"So, do you like the set-up?" Whitglow asked, her tone utterly filled with teasing. My only response was, "Yeah, but… was that dramatic burst of energy necessary? You still scared the lights out of me!"
Suddenly, the light from her body disappeared, and her appearance was basically that of an older version of me, attire, and everything. "I do apologize for that, but unfortunately, it does indeed require literal world-shaking levels of power. As for my appearance, well, if you saw me without that light masking my appearance while you were still panicking over your lack of memories, well, let's just say you would reacted much worse." I couldn't argue with that.
"Now then, let's go to the very top platform. We have a LOT to discuss, Clarus." Whitglow said, using my name for the first time. I simply smiled, and followed along, all while making small talk.
And deep inside my heart?
I simply knew that everything, no matter what, would turn out just fine.
AN: Hello there, everyone. My name is Blazing Dinosaur Thing, and I'm a novice fanfiction writer whose been planning this story for a while. Four years to be exact, LONG before ever making an account or even hearing of this website or anything. It's also worth noting that this is my first fanfic that I've ever posted, so please be constructive with your criticisms, okay? I'm aware what people can act like on sites like this. Now as for something worth noting, the two categories I placed this story in were Mario and Web Shows. This is actually tying into something important that will happen in the next chapter, so make sure to remember it. Anyways, I'll stop this note here because it's getting long, so… don't get angry if I don't reply right away, I guess.
