Hey Guys! Here is the chapter of my theory of HRE. I really don't believe Germany is HRE so I made a theory to defy it. Beside, Imagine Hol Roman Empire as a side character of this book. Won't it be awesome? :D I did my best, I hope you like it! :)

Chapter 19: Return of HRE!

" Okay, that's enough training for today." Germany said. Ariel, Italy and I cheered in victory. Yes! The vigorous training is finally over. Brandon said " It wasn't that bad."

" I'm so tired I want to collapse!" Ariel exclaimed, then she lay on the ground tired.

" Don't collapse! Otherwise you'll end up like Germany!" I joked around.

" Don't, say a word. I want, to rest." Ariel panted. I laughed and said " Go ahead. I need to rest too." Then I sat down on a bench. That was one tiring day. Germany didn't seem a bit tired, I could see Japan and Brandon run out of steam too. Italy was lying on the ground next to me. I took a sip from my 100 plus bottle, that was tiring. Japan then sat next to me.

" Are you upset that you can't go home yet Kristina?" Japan asked me. I shook my head.

" No, not really." I panted.

" Why is that?" Japan asked looking at me.

" Well, I was sad at first when I thought I was going to leave, but relief I could go back home. When I found out we could stay a little longer, I was happy you know. I guess I've grown used to this place." I said. " Even the other ambassadors like this. Some even changed."

" Ve~" Italy snored. Germany sighed as he wiped off his sweat. " How can Italy sleep like this?" Germany asked.

" He's Italian." Brandon said plainly.

" I wonder what he ever dreams about." Japan said.

" Pasta?" Ariel suggested.

" Definitely." We all agreed.

" Maybe not all the time, it could be about his past." I said. " I wonder where Holy Roman Empire went. I've heard so much about him."

" Hai, I have only heard about him too." Japan said. Germany grew stiff. Ariel then asked Germany " Are you still thinking about it?"

" Yes… I still don't think I was Holy Roman Empire. It doesn't make sense." Germany said.

" How?" Brandon asked.

" Well I don't remember conquering anything or much of my childhood really. It is most likely Holy Roman Empire disappeared like the rest." Germany added.

" But I have not learn of anyone talking about young Germany." I said. " They all couldn't recall or tell me."

" How come no one as ever spoken about Holy Roman Empire now then?" Japan asked.

" I guess they wouldn't want to recall someone who disappeared." I said. Then I heard a rustling in the bushes. Huh? No one else seems to notice.

" Anyway, Ariel, you have improved. But you need to stop thinking of being lazy." Germany said to Ariel. There it is again, another rustle.

" Japan." I said.

" Hai, I heard it too." Japan said.

" What? I am trying hard enough!" Ariel complained. I turned around to look at the bushes. Japan reached for his katana. I reached for my wooden sword. Is someone spying on us. Suddenly, there was a large cracking and rustling and someone fell out off the bushes.

" What was that?" Brandon freaked out slightly.

" Please! I come in peace!" The boy exclaimed, covering his face his with hands.

" Who are you and what are you doing here!" Germany demanded. Germany stormed towards the boy.

" Germany!" Ariel called out.

" Ve~?" Italy said, waking up and rubbing his eyes.

" Holy Roman Empire! My name's Holy Roman Empire! I just came here to see Italy!" The boy said quickly. We all stopped. The boy can't be serious…did he say he is Holy Roman Empire? Germany blinked, the boy removed his hands slowly and looked at Germany, surprised.

The boy was around Italy's age, he was between Italy's and Germany's height. He had sandy brown hair and turquoise eyes which were struck with fear and surprise. He did look sort of like Germany. He wore a small black hat on his messy, cow-licked hair. His clothes looked tattered and dirty. He only wore a white shirt and black pants, his shoes were missing. The boy only muttered one word " L-Ludwig?"

" Ludwig?" Brandon asked.

" How did you know my human name?" Germany demanded.

" You kept calling yourself that. Don't you remember me? Your brother?" Holy Roman Empire asked as he got up. Italy got up too.

" Brother? I only have one." Germany said.

" How can this be? What happened to you?" Holy Roman Empire asked. " You used to be so scared… so desperate to find someone…"

" I don't know what you're talking about." Germany growled, I could see he was starting to get worried. At least he doesn't have to worry about if he's Holy Roman Empire or not.

" Relax, how did you get here?" Brandon asked, walking towards Holy Roman Empire.

" I-I have been wandering around since my empire fell. L-living with various families throughout the centuries whom a-all help me keep alive." Holy Roman Empire stammered. I looked at Italy. I could see he was shocked. He was just staring at Holy Roman Empire for a long time.

" Sorry, I just came here to see if Italy is fine. Where is she anyway?" Holy Roman Empire said.

" She?" Ariel asked. Then she whispered to me " Is he talking about Italy's counterpart?"

" HOLY ROME!" Italy exclaimed as he ran forward and hugged the boy. Holy Roman Empire was shocked. Then he pushed the Italy away and exclaimed " Who are you?!"

" Ve~? Don't you recognise me? It's me! Italy!" Italy exclaimed. Holy Roman Empire blinked. We were all silent for that moment. The Holy Roman Empire said " B-but Italy's a girl…"

" Italy has always been a boy. He was forced to dress as a girl for some reasons, don't ask why." I said. Holy Roman Empire blinked. Then suddenly, he collapsed right in front of us. Ariel and Italy freaked out. It was so silent and so sudden. We were all staring in shock.

" Oh no! Someone help him!" Ariel exclaimed as Germany and Japan swooped down to help. Then suddenly, we heard a loud growl… from Holy Roman Empire. I guess he's hungry.

" Don't worry Italy, he's fine." Germany said. Then Germany carried Holy Roman Empire in his arms and bring him home. The rest of us could only follow. Brandon ran ahead to tell Prussia and Amir about the situation. When we got to Germany's house, Germany lay Holy Roman Empire on the couch while Amir got out the wurst, bread and water for Holy Roman prepared a pillow and blanket for him.

" So you're telling me this is Holy Roman Empire?" Amir said as he put the water and the plate of food beside him.

" That's what he claims to be." Japan said. Prussia, who was worried when we got Holy Roman Empire was teary for once. He seemed emotional. Prussia tried not to show his tears and wiped them away, then he said " That's him alright."

" Look, he's waking up!" Italy said. Holy Roman Empire slowly opened his eyes. He looked around the room. He then said " W-where am I?"

" You're in my home." Germany said " You fainted in the field."

Holy Roman Empire looked at the couch, the food and the rest of us. When he saw Italy, his face went completely red and he covered his face with the pillow.

" H-holy Rome?" Italy stammered.

" I'm such an idiot!" Holy Roman Empire yelled through the pillow.

" No, you're not." Ariel said.

" What is going on?" Brandon asked.

" Um… Italy was mistaken as a girl by everyone when he was younger since he wore dresses." I said. " That includes Holy Roman Empire. Let's say he's… um… Italy's first love."

Everyone was quiet. Then Amir, Ariel, Japan and Brandon exclaimed " What?!"

" Ve~? You don't know?" Italy asked.

" Of course we don't!" Brandon said " No one told us!"

" You're gay?" Japan asked.

" Ve~ I was before." Italy said.

" So does that mean…?" Brandon asked as he looked at Holy Roman empire. I could tell Holy Roman Empire is even more embarrassed.

" Well, he did think Italy was a girl so not really." I said.

" Ve~ what's wrong Holy Rome?" Italy asked.

" I can never show my face again…" Holy Roman Empire said " Not after this…"

" Don't worry. I like someone else now." Italy said. Holy Roman Empire looked at Italy and said " You moved on?"

" I guess so." Italy said. I realised who he was talking about and blushed a deep red.

" Oh… I see…" Holy Roman Empire said, still blushing.

" Come on Holy Rome, eat up." Prussia said as he patted Holy Rome's back.

" Prussia, do you still remember me?" Holy Roman Empire asked.

" Of course! How can I not remember my own little brother!" Prussia exclaimed as he ruffled his hair.

" Brother!?" Amir exclaimed.

" Wait, how come I never knew we have another brother!?" Germany exclaimed. Prussia looked at Germany and sighed.

" Eat up! You need the energy!" Prussia said to Holy Rome. Holy Rome nodded and started to eat. He tried not to eat like a savage but he end up gobbling up the food. Wow, I guess he was really hungry. How long has he been wandering around, especially in this condition for centuries? Germany just seems shocked.

" Ha ha! You should see the look on your face West!" Prussia exclaimed and laughed out loud.

" This is not funny!" Germany exclaimed " Will you explain what the hell is going on!" Germany exclaimed.

" Kese~ I should. The awesome Prussia will explain everything!" Prussia exclaimed. Then he sat down next to Holy Roman Empire. Then Prussia started to explain his story.

" When I first found you West, Holy Roman Empire was with you. It was strange to see two countries at the same time, so I assumed you were twins. Sort of like Romano and Italy, look alike but not twins. Rightfully, Holy Roman Empire is the older brother since he became a real country first but age wise you are older." Prussia explained " Holy Roman Empire was like a new born child, around 6 years old. You were a year older. Rightfully, you were suppose to enter as a country in a blank minded state, only knowing your country name. Holy Roman Empire was just that, but you had received your past life memories immediately, something that is rare."

" You were panicking when I first met you. You kept talking about finding Luise, I have no idea who was that at first but I took you both in as my brothers. When I asked for your names, you gave me your human name. I asked for your country name and you didn't get it. I was worried but I took you in. Holy Roman Empire turned out to be a cool brother, with a good vision of being an empire. He was too kind and shy though."

" Hey! I did become an empire anyway." Holy Rome protested then ate.

" Yeah, that did happen huh." Prussia said " Back to the story. Germany, you were stuck in your room for hours on end, only coming to out to eat or for necessary things. You only came out after Holy Rome coaxed you out to play. As time passed, you kept on being depressed. I asked Hungary for help and she hadn't got a clue. I asked Spain and France and they hadn't got a clue ether. I kept talking to you, trying to find out your past life. You hardly talked about it, only to cry when I ask. I then found out Luise is your sister from your past life. Around the time Holy Rome started to conquer lands, you decided to go out and find Luise. I tried to warn you not to, since she's already dead. You refused and went out anyway. No one spoke about you again after you left, except Holy Rome. He wanted you to help him expand his empire, but soon gave up on it."

" Wait, how can't I not remember any of this?" Germany interrupted.

" I'll get there soon." Prussia said. " Time went on and soon after Holy Rome disappeared, you came back home. I was happy you went home, I even celebrated right then since Holy Rome was no where to be found. but you were crying. I stopped to ask what happened to you. You said you finally found your sister, not really. You spoke with a person in your hometown, he's suppose to be Ash's grandson. You never told me who Ash is though. He told you she was buried in a nearby cemetery by Ash himself, next to your body. You went there and cried a her tomb, you were shocked to see yours… then you came back. For the next few weeks, you were depressed. I tried to call you out but you wouldn't."

" One day, I was out. I didn't know what made you did it but when I came back. I could see you on top of the roof. I called you to come down and you said you would. You jumped off the roof. I tried to catch you but it was too fast. You hit the ground, I knew you couldn't die but I had to save you. When we brought you to the hospital, you did woke up again. I asked how you were but you asked who I was. I asked for your name and you said ' Germany' and told me that's all you remembered. You had finally came into the fresh start your were suppose to start with. I knew I had to work with it, I didn't want you to do something risky again. So I lied and hid about your past so you won't do the same again."

" Then, how about everyone else?" I asked. " Surely they know what's going on."

" Germany was very introverted then." Prussia explained. " Not many people know about him. To those who knew, I told them not to mention anything about his past."

" Why couldn't you tell me before?" Germany asked.

Prussia smirked and said " You never asked."

" Goddamn it!" Germany exclaimed " How can you hide this from me for so long?!"

" I didn't want you to become like before. I thought if you remember Holy Rome or Ash or Luise, you would become suicidal again!" Prussia exclaimed. Holy Rome had finished eating by now and looked at Germany.

Germany kicked the wall out of frustration, creating a huge crack. Amir and Brandon freaked out and exclaimed " Calm down!"

" Just to think before he yelled at me for damaging his walls…" Brandon said.

" Germany! he did it for your own good!" Ariel exclaimed " He may not have told you before but he did now!"

" You don't understand!" Germany yelled " I couldn't remember half of my life only to be told now?!"

" If you were told before, you would have been much worse off." I said.

" Ludwig!" Holy Rome exclaimed. Germany looked at Holy Rome. " You… have a new name?"

" He goes by Germany now." Prussia explained.

" So you've become a country like Prussia huh." Holy Rome said.

" Holy Rome… I'm no longer a country. After World War Two, I got conquered by Russia and announced I was no longer a country." Prussia said. Holy Rome went into shock. Then he said " You're no longer a country?!"

" He isn't. For for seventy years." Amir noted. Everyone went silent. Then Japan asked. " I am sorry for interrupting but I do not get one thing."

" What is it?" Prussia asked.

" If Holy Roman Empire existed all this time, why didn't he come home like Germany?" Japan asked. Holy Rome was silent.

" I didn't want to return to be a burden, nothing." Holy Rome said. " I couldn't face everyone, showing that a great empire has fallen. I couldn't bear to see anyone. So I left, completely."

" But you left everyone worried!" Prussia exclaimed.

" Sorry…" Holy Rome sad " I am so sorry…"

" I'm sure you didn't mean it." Amir said. " My parents would yell at me for being a failure."

Holy Roman Empire looked at Amir and said " I haven't seen at least half of you before. Who are you anyway?"

" Konichiwa, I am Japan. I am a country from Asia. I am an ally to both Germany and Italy." Japan said.

" I'm Amir, Prussia's ambassador." Amir said.

" Ambassador?" Holy Rome asked.

" Human who live like us." Prussia explained. " They are from another dimension who somehow got here. They don't age here like us and help the country who finds them. It's like personal assistance in work."

" I see…" Holy Rome said.

" I'm Brandon, Germany's ambassador." Brandon said.

" I'm Ariel, Japan's ambassador." Ariel said.

" I'm Kristina, Italy's ambassador and apparently the leader of the ambassadors." I said.

" Oh…" Holy Rome said " I thought Ariel was Lud-Germany's girlfriend and you were Japan's girlfriend… sorry…"

Ariel and I freaked out. I blushed a deep red. What the heck. Then I exclaimed " Why does every country meet think I'm someone's girlfriend?!"

" I said sorry!" Holy Rome exclaimed, hiding behind Prussia. " I just guessed!"

" I see what you mean…" Ariel said, blushing a deep red. I put up my hand waiting for a hi-five and said " Join the club."

" What did you mean by that anyway?" Amir asked.

" When I first came here, every country I met thought I was ether Italy's or Japan's girlfriend. Don't ask why…" I said, covering my face with my hand, blushing even harder. I looked between my fingers and saw both Italy and Japan blushing.

" She's the leader of the ambassadors?" Holy Rome asked.

" Kristina is the first person to come here, much earlier than the other ambassadors. This is her second time here. Naturally, she helps the other ambassadors with their problems hence the so-called leader." Germany said.

" What should we call we call you? We can't keep saying Holy Roman Empire. It's quite a mouthful." Amir said.

" Holy Rome, call me Holy Rome." Holy Roman Empire said.

For the past few days, we've been helping Holy Rome settle in Germany's home. Holy Rome wanted to run and hide again like before but Germany insisted that Holy Rome should live with him and Prussia from now on. Holy Rome agreed. Italy and I visited him everyday. Italy would try to bring back their friendship, but not their relationship of course. I slowly became friends with Holy Rome.

Holy Rome is actually a nice guy. He's sort of shy and he's really kind. He also wants to find a girl of his own now, since he found out Italy is actually a guy. Holy Rome also can fight really well when I was practicing my skills with him once. He doesn't run away easily but he does get scared once in while. He has a strong will but can be manipulated easily sometimes. He is glad to have me as a friend. Yuna does come by to visit once or twice too.

Hungary, Austria and Bec do come by once in awhile. Hungary became relief and happy when she saw Holy Rome. She was nearly in tears. Austria was shocked but them smiled at his presence. Bec didn't really care about Holy Rome much, but she did talk to him.

Holy Rome has become good friends with Italy and me. He also sees Prussia as an idol, except when it comes to his ego. Well, they are brothers who both lost their countries. I'm sure they know they share the pain. Germany also tried to recover the years he lost with Holy Rome.

Meanwhile, a few more ambassadors got their cats. Aria got a pink sleek cat with a red headband on it's head named Beauty, Penny got a light purple sleek cat named Cupcake, Kyanna got a small white fluffy cat named Dandelion, Sam got a black cat named Night and Bec got a red cat with a scar under it's right eye named DemonSlayer. The cats themselves seem to fit their owner's personalities.

Once when I was visiting Holy Rome, I couldn't find him in his room. I couldn't really find him at all. I became afraid and thought Holy Rome ran off. But I soon found him in the field, sitting down. I relaxed then went to him.

" Hey Holy Rome." I said. Holy Rome jumped in shock then looked at me. The moment he saw me, he relaxed.

" Oh, hello Kristina." Holy Rome said.

" Can I sit here?" I asked. Holy Rome nodded. I sat next to him with my legs crossed. Then I asked him " How are you coping with things?"

" I guess I am fine. Prussia and Lud- I mean Germany- have been good to me. It is nice to see everyone again. But so much has changed." Holy Rome said " I found out Italy all this time is a guy, there are many more countries, ambassadors, Prussia's no longer a country… it's like I entered a completely new world."

" I know what you mean. When I first got here, I was afraid of the world around me, confused. But I got used to it after a while, I didn't expect to have a life here." I said.

" Hey Kristina… have you been heartbroken before?" Holy Rome asked.

" Yeah, once." I said.

" Then I guess you understand what I'm experiencing. Italy's is a guy and likes someone else. It's like a hard blow on my heart. All this time… when we were kids… it was so perfect. It was like my entire past was made up, so much changed. Sometimes I wish to go back in time and enjoy the moments I had with her, I mean him, oh what the heck." Holy Rome said. I looked at Holy Rome… he seems to be crying.

" Holy Rome…" I said. He just kept crying. I guess he was really heartbroken. He didn't look like he was on the first day. His sandy hair was now neat and let down. His turquoise eyes now slightly red from crying, he was breathing heavily. He now wore a long sleeved white shirt and black pants, his sleeves stained with tears. Is being heartbroken… that painful. I know, I've experience this before. But not as bad as Holy Rome.

" Holy Rome." I said. Holy Rome looked at me. I blinked, his face was full of pain and sadness… is that how heartbreak is really like? I didn't know what to say.

" It's okay… you didn't know. Italy didn't mean to break your heart like this. Maybe he thought he himself is a girl, like Hungary thought she was a guy before. He never wanted to hurt you. Yes he's a guy and likes someone else." I said but then stopped myself. Am I the cause of Holy Rome's pain? Because Italy likes me? I felt something pierce my heart. I never wanted to fall in love. What is the use. Even if you do feel happiness, someone is always going to feel pain. It's best not to be involved at all. I kept talking " But that doesn't mean he doesn't care for you. You are still a special person in is heart. Gay or not. He would just feel more guilty if you keep crying about it. I know it is something worth crying about, but to see you smile and be alright… is comforting."

" You are a nice guy Holy Rome. You can find another girl." I continued " I know, it's hard to find love. Trust me, I know. But maybe… if you search hard, you will find someone who will love you back. That thought may be a fairytale, but knowing it is real… is a beautiful thing."

What am I saying? Aren't I going against my own words? It's hopeless. I know that. Someone will get hurt trying to find love. But… now I like two guys. Look how much pain I've caused. Holy Rome looked at me, smiled and said " Thank you Kristina."

" Sorry, I think I lied." I said " I am going against my own wisdom."

" But it is for the best right?" Holy Rome said. I looked at him.

" You can't follow your own wisdom all the time right? That won't make you wise. Sometimes it means going against your own wisdom to know the right thing. You say it, because you know it's true. No matter how much you deny it." Holy Rome said. I snorted. Wow, Holy Rome knows a few things too.

" Thanks, I think I need that." I said.

" No problem." Holy Rome said.

" Why are you here anyway?" I asked.

" I like to look at nature." Holy Rome said.

" Nature?" I asked.

" I like to travel. See the world. I didn't get to do much to that while I was conquering lands. I guess I just want to enjoy what I have." Holy Rome said, looking at the scenery.

" Yeah. That's nice." I said.

" Hey Kristina, just to ask, do you know who Italy likes?" Holy Rome ask. " I am just curious… Maybe it will help me leave the past behind me."

I was quiet at first. I am the cause of his pain, how can I tell him Italy likes me? I can't lie to him ether. Maybe it's best for him to know. But will he hate me? Holy Rome looked at me, he saw how uncomfortable I was. I closed my eyes, well I can't lie. He's bound to find out sooner or later.

Without thinking, I said " He's real name is Feliciano Vargas."

Holy Rome looked at me, quiet. He knew that a long time ago, but what caught him was me knowing it. Holy Rome looked at the sky and said " I see…"

" Sorry…" I said.

" You don't need to apologise." Holy Rome said. " But do you like him back?"

I was quiet, blushing. Then I said " I'm not sure." We both stared at the scenery for awhile.

" If it makes you better, you are not doing anything bad to me." Holy Rome said. I looked at him. What? I'm not? Then Holy Rome stood up and said " Let's go back. Germany's probably going to yell at me for not telling him where I am."

" He acts like a big brother doesn't he." I said as I stood up.

" Yeah, I can't tell who's older now." Holy Rome said as we walked back to Germany's house.

Everyone in the meeting room was silent. Suddenly England stood up and exclaimed " Holy Roman Empire is back!?"

" Who?" America asked.

" What the heck?!" Riana exclaimed.

" He looks pretty shy. He's suppose to disappear?" Aria asked.

" Ja, he was. But he managed to survive all this while." Germany explained.

" Wow, that must have been a tough journey aru." China said.

" Yeah… I guess…" Holy Rome said.

" At least he's back right?" Canada said.

" Woah Canadia! When did you get here?" America asked.

" I've always been here, and I'm Canada…" Canada said.

" Who?" Kumajiro said. Holy Rome nervously waved to Canada to acknowledge him.

" Hey dude!" Liang Hao said as he went behind Holy Rome and held his shoulders, Holy Rome jumped in shock " I'm Liang Hao! So you've been walking around for centuries? Wow! That has got to be awesome!"

" Oh no… spare Holy Rome guy from annoyance." Bryan said. Liang Hao rolled his eyes. Holy Rome looked nervous. Italy smiled, he must be glad to have Holy Rome back. I smiled too, looks like Holy Rome will be happy. I just know it.

So how do you like Holy Rome? :) I really like this chapter, I also added a little bit of Canada in there. I realised Canada, Turkey and Greece hasn't been mentioned much, so are Britain's brothers. I tried my best to put them in! I hope Holy Rome gets a girl someday. Next Chapter: ' W' academy! It's finally here! See ya soon! :)
