"Zach!" I turned. She gave me a genuine smile, "Find the key."
"Find the key to what?" I asked suspiciously.
"The key to my heart." She said softly. With that, she disappeared into her room.
Zach POV
After she said that, I went back to the mini CIA and plopped down onto the couch with Cammie's words replaying itself in my head.
"Well you look happy." Grant said. He jumped on the enormous couch. I turned to look at him.
"I'm confused." I replied hesitantly. We all know that Grant is the most experienced in girls. Even though he's the biggest doof in the whole world, he holds the record of dating girls.
"About?" Grant raised his eyebrow. Holy shit is everyone doing the Macey thing now? I thought. It's really intimidating.
"Cammie." I didn't even realize I said it until moments later. Oh shit. Instantly I hear everyone simultaneously stop what they're doing and walk towards the couch. One by one, they all decide to sit down and listen to what I had to say. I frowned. "Cammie is hiding something." I finally said.
Macey snorted, "You just noticed doofus?" Now I was the doing the eyebrow raising.
"You guys didn't tell me then?" I look at Jonas. He was the only one that always felt guilty after hearing a secret. He smiled apologetically.
"Sorry. You were always in the corner thinking about something that we didn't want to bother you with our suspicions about Cammie." He admitted. Well then.
"So much for being friends." I said sarcastically.
"Hey, shut up Zach. You would've blown a fuse." Grant said defensively. I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah sure. I've got to train. I heard that we've got quite an enemy." I stand up and decide to go to the weights.
"Never mind that Zach, spar with me. I need to let some of my steam off." Bex interrupted. I groaned inwardly. I'm going to get beat up again. As I was being pulled away, from the corner of my eye I can see Grant going upstairs. Probably going to talk to Cammie. Ha. Good luck with that.
Grant POV
I've got to be honest, I've never been so nervous in my life. Ever. Well, asking Bex was a challenge too but this is the first. I didn't know how to start my conversation with Cammie. Like, "Hey Cammie, I just found out you were my sister. Possibly twins. Ain't that great?" I nervously knock on her door. "Hey Cammie? You said we had to talk today or well yesterday or urr.." I scratched the back of my head nervously. The door slowly opens.
"Come on in." I walked in and stood there awkwardly while she was doing something on her computer. Probably trying to figure out something.
"I'm trying to hack into some of the security cameras at one of the Russian bases." She said as if she was really reading my mind. She swiveled her chair towards me, "Sit down." She instructed. I reluctantly sat down. Every nerve in my body kept on telling me to run out of the door and flirt with Bex.
I started, "So um.."She smiled at me.
"I can tell this is very very awkward for you," Well no shit. "So yeah, I guess we are related. We're fraternal twins.." She supplied.
I fumbled with my words, "Do I- I mean, do you know who my real parents are?" I asked nervously. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes. I waited there for about 3 minutes until she re-opened her eyes and looked straight into my blue/gray eyes.
"Once upon a time, there were two agents that fell hopelessly in love with each other. After a few years of marriage, they decide to have kids. Their names were Cameron Morgan and Grant Morgan," my breath hitched, "Though they loved both dearly with so much passion, they knew it was too dangerous to raise both so they decided to give one of us to their dearly loved friends who couldn't have kids of their own. They gave you. One that went to Gallagher and one that went to Blackthorne." She warily smiled at me.
"But- how?" I slowly processed the words in my head. She leaned and took my hand. She looked up at me, "Grant, they loved you so much. I've seen our family videos, our pictures. You don't know how hard it was for them to give you away. They were trying to protect us." She said softly.
"How come you knew before me? For god's sake, why didn't you tell me?" I demanded.
"You had to find out yourself. Plus, I didn't have the heart to tell you. I was still trying to get over our Dad's funeral."She says hesitantly. I dropped our entwined hands and looked out the window. Even though I've been preparing myself for this, the truth hurt a lot.
"So my Dad died, and I don't even remember anything about him? Even when he was alive, no visits from either of them?" I asked numbly. Cammie flinched at the first part of what I said. She also looked out the window.
"You just didn't know they were there." I brought my hands to face and covered my face. I groaned. "This is just so much to take in." I mumbled. Cammie put a comforting hand on my shoulder as she got up.
"There's only so much a person can take in Grant." With that, she made her way out to give me some alone time. Even I knew that time is what we desperately needed.
Cammie POV
I walked downstairs to go see if Liz and Jonas found anything good in the video. As I walked down the final steps of the stairs, Bex stops fighting with Zach and comes up to me.
"Well, did you have a talk with Grant? How is he? Is he ok?" She demanded. I hastily smiled at her.
"Yeah, he's up there. Maybe you should talk to him. He needs to be comforted." I supply hesitantly. For all I know, Bex will smack the side of his head and tell him to get over it. She pushed passed by me. As she reaches the last few stairs up I call out to her. "Be gentle Bex." She turns to me and grins.
"Thanks Cammie." I sigh in relief. I made my way to Liz and Jonas.
"Did you guys find anything that I didn't?" I asked hopefully. They both whip their heads up. Obviously they didn't hear me walk up to them.
"U-um," Liz stuttered. I narrowed my eyes.
"What did you guys find?" I asked.
Jonas fixed his obnoxious glasses, "We removed the video that replayed and looked at what really happened. You may want to look at it yourself." Liz scrambles to bring up the video and press the play button. I watched as I see Ashley making some tea then all of a sudden she pauses and sneaks across the room. She waits until three big, burly men come into the room. She takes them down easily. The not-so-easy part was when about five men came in and surrounded her. I clenched my fists and turned, I already anticipated what was going to happen. I just didn't want to see it.
"Cam?" Liz asked softly.
I turned back to her and gave her a grim smile, "It's time we start planning."
Hi! Ok so today was the weirdest. One of my friends started crying. He said he hasn't cried in two years and I believe him. Omg it was like being in an another dimension. I really wanted to laugh to break the tension though. I kept on biting my lip to stop from laughing. Then someone else told me to hug him. Honestly I was really hesitant even though I really wanted to.
