Sandman

First of all, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for sticking with this fanfiction. It's been the longest, most researched fiction I have ever written and by far, the most well received.

When I started it, I never imagined I would get that much positive feedback on it, nor had I expected to meet so many nice and interesting people. Most of them are now prowling on my facebook page, I guess^^

I'd also like to thank my Medical Advisor, Doctor Cordula F. , who was kind enough to listen to all my questions and always made sure I had the anatomy set straight. She patiently listened to me when I puzzled over how a certain type of injury might be received, how long it would take to heal and so forth. She also never worried about the fact that I was virtually planning torture and kidnapping, so I thank her for that as well. Maker knows, most people would have called the cops on me^^

Another person who deserves Thanks is TWILIGHTreader1, even though she's most likely not here to see it. In those countless messages and conversations we became friends and I truly would have liked to end this fiction with her. But nevertheless, without her, I never would have gotten this far and would most likely have abandoned it long ago. When I felt down, she gave me a pep-talk, when I felt weird, she set me straight again, and when I just needed to ramble about my daily life, she listened. I don't think even she herself realizes just how much that helped. To have someone to rant to, about the story or about life in general. I still haven't given up the hope that she might one day return and I get to talk to her again and just in case you're reading this, Twilight, my (figurative) door is always open for you.

I'd also like to thank Crimson Amarone, not only for the amazing cover-art she did for the Sandman, but also for her support in the last few months^^ The same goes for you, Neyane^^

To all of you, thank you for your support and your interest and the fact that you gave me leave to write as realistically as possible, while still keeping it (relatively) in character, at least for a Manga/Anime.

Perhaps, sometime in the future, I'll consider writing for the Conan Fandom again, but for now, the creative juices have dried up. I'm not certain I'll ever write a sequel to this, though the story does have some potential for that, but if I do, I make sure to finish it before I start posting. I'd not want you guys to endure that kind of waiting game again. And I bet it must have been hard for you all, knowing there was this one story that just refused to get finished^^

All in all, allow me to thank you all for your support, especially since the topic was somewhat grim, and I hope to see some of you on my fb page then^^ Just because one fiction is ended, does not mean, we have to ignore each other, right?

Sincerely yours,

Callie Winters
