Previously…
"Phew. Am I the first one?" I ask as I crash onto the couch.
"Nope." I hear a voice say. I turn my head to see who it is. Macey and Zach.
"Dammit." I mutter. Zach chuckles and Macey grins. Now, just to wait for the others.
Cammie POV
We all stood there, looking at our captives, evaluating them. By then, we dragged them off to an abandoned building not too far away from the hotel. "What should we do with them?" Liz asks me. I look at her, startled. Jonas and she were the ones who told us to get them.
"Interrogate them. Take the same person, we don't want them knowing that there are more of us." I order. They all nod. I sigh and pinch the bridge of my nose. Suddenly, I was tired, worn out. I felt a warm hand on my back, "You doing ok?" His deep voice ran through my body like bliss and I looked up at him.
"Yeah." I say a little breathlessly and I waved away his concern. I stepped away before he could say anything else and grabbed Dylan. I dragged him to a room and tied him to a chair. I huffed and slapped him as hard as I can.
"Huh? Wha-" He looks around the room before his eyes center to me. He snarls and strains against the rope. I raise an eyebrow.
"I'm glad to see you awake, Dylan. We have much to talk about."
"We have nothing to talk about." He snaps at me. Wow. There goes all the politeness. I crouch down and stare at him straight in the eyes.
"Oh, but we do. You have someone I want, and I want her now." I tell him, emotionlessly. No emotions. No emotions. I take a photo of Ashley out of my pocket and showed it to him. A flash of recognition is shown in his eyes before he glares at me.
"I don't know her."
"I don't like liars, Dylan. The thing is you DO know her. Tell me where she is and I'll spare your miserable life." I say coldly. He stares at me and laughs. I wait a moment till he's done and take a pocket knife out of my pocket and circle around him. "I wonder how long it will take before you perish. It will be a long process. This knife if pretty small but it can and will do the job. Unless, you tell me." I put the knife under his chin and lift his face up. I see fear etched in his face.
"She's in the hotel basement. Cell CH5." He says quickly. I tilt my head to the side, he cracked so easily.
"Where are they taking her?" I ask.
"Out of the country. I swear that's all I know." My prediction was right. I'm going to have to contact someone and to put more guards up at the borders. I nod slowly and start to walk out. "Wait! Aren't you going to release me?" I stop and turn around.
"You will be just not by me. Truthfully, where you and your little group is going… I would have died instead." I say. I was trying to scare him, maybe shake him up for further questions, straighten him up a little bit. His life is despicable. He could've had a stable job, a safe one, find love, have kids. I shake my head. Who am I kidding? There was no such thing as that. Love. I walk out and close the door firmly and look out to find that everyone else was waiting. Taking a break.
"I know where she is." I say softly. "Cell CH5, in the basement. We have to get back before anyone suspects anything. I'll contact someone and they'll pick these people up." I take my phone out and send out word and coordinates to someone in the agency. I look up to see everyone staring a little strangely at me. Except for Macey. They were watching me. It felt like a rock just dropped into my stomach. Their looks: disbelief, sorrow, horror. "They will never be there for you." I clench my teeth, turn around and did the one thing they knew me for, went for an exit.
Liz POV
We all saw her interrogation, and we were all shocked a bit. That person in that room was not our Cammie. I begin to question what really happened on her previous mission. What we learned in Gallagher was different, we were taught to be understanding, to never let the worst get to us. I shake my head sadly, looking after her disappearing figure as she gets out.
"She's changed so much." My voice cracks. I felt a grip on my hand, I look and see Jonas. His face, grim. I give him a smile through watery eyes.
"Well, that could have gone better. Now, let's scatter. I'm tired as hell." Grant declares, breaking the tension. Bex steps up and laces their hands together. They start to walk out and slowly we clear out. Cam was waiting in the car, just blankly staring ahead. Silently, we get in. It was a silent ride there and a silent ride up to our room. Cammie plops down onto a couch and stares at us. She tries for a smile.
"I guess it's about time I talk about my interrogation habits."
