Mika slowly looked at the locket. "This…. My name…." She looked at Sven slightly, and then opened the locket. Her eyes widened. "It's me!"
Sven smiled. "Mika!"
"How… how is this possible?!" She turned and yelled at Kenji. "Ken! You know them! What's going on?!"
"Uh… well…" Kenji shifted. He looked down.
"You know them!" Mika yelled at him. "Some of my memories are fuzzy! Do I know them?!"
"Well…"
"Yes, you do know us." Sven looked at her. "We have been traveling together for a while now! You and I... We…"
"I wasn't asking you!" Mika yelled at him. "KEN!"
"What does it matter?" Kaim frowned. "If they were anything important you would remember them. That's what I've always said. The reason none of us know our real families is because they weren't important."
"That's not true." Train frowned. "I don't know about the rest of you, but Mika's memories are tied in with her powers. Mika didn't have any memories of her younger young childhood. She only remembered from when she was eight and found lying in the middle of the street by her adopted father. Don't think that makes her memories unimportant."
"Stay out of this kid." Kaim growled.
"My adopted father?" Mika looked at Train. "All my memories go somewhat fuzzy…. Up until a little ago it's been fuzzy."
"That's because that scientist's experiment on you has messed with your memories." Train frowned.
Mika looked at Train. "Scientist?... Do you mean Zurui? He's the one who saved me!"
"He's also the one who kidnapped you from us!" Eve called.
Mika paused and looked in Zurui's direction. He had a calm expression that didn't look worried at all. "Zurui?"
"I brought you home."
Mika glanced at Sven again. His eye had a pleading look, a desperate look. "So I did know you…"
Sven smiled and took a step forward. "Yes, we were-."
"You WERE!" Kaim growled. "But Mika doesn't remember you so she's not going with you!" Kaim moved in front of Mika.
"Kaim look! They are in the picture too." Mika gripped the locket close. "It's recent, but my eyes…. are a little different. So is my hair…"
"When you lost your memories once with us your hair color changed. I think it has something to do with your powers."
"I lost my memories with you before?" Mika shifted. "Did I ever get them back?"
Sven smiled. "Yes."
Mika perked up. "How?!"
Sven shifted and he was blushing slightly. "They… came back after we kissed."
Before Mika could react to that, Kaim shot forward angrily. He swung his fist with intent to kill. Sven wasn't moving. "NO!" With her speed Mika was easily able to catch Kaim's fist and stop it an inch away from Sven's face.
"SVEN!" Eve called.
"Mika!" Kaim growled.
"I won't let you kill him. He might know how to help with my memories!"
"But!" Kaim growled at Sven. "I'm not trusting his words and having him kiss you!"
"Then I'll kiss you." Mika smiled and leaned up planting her lips on his. Kaim instantly relaxed and wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her closer. Mika pulled back from Kaim, her eyes closed.
"Mika?" Renji called out.
"I…" Mika gave it a moment, but frowned. Her memories were still fuzzy. "It didn't work." She glared at Sven. "Were you lying?"
"No. I don't know how it worked. I just know that when we kissed you remembered everything from when we meet and about your adopted father."
Mika let go of Kaim and pushed away from him. She moved up to Sven and glared. "What makes you special?!"
"I don't know." Sven looked at Mika calmly. "Maybe my feelings for you. Maybe it was a onetime thing. I don't know how and I don't care. I just want you to remember, Mika."
Mika looked at him for a moment and then moved closer and leaned in, kissing him. She heard a lot of gasps, a growl from Kaim, but she ignored it.
Kissing Sven was different from kissing Kaim. Sven was gentle and didn't hold her like she was about to run away. He was a gentleman even during the kiss. Mika froze and pulled back. Kaim caught her arm and held her protectively. "Mika?!"
"I…" Mika looked at Sven. Memories began to replay in her head.
