Mika was walking towards a restaurant table. "Here you go. I'm Mika and I'll be your server." She handed them the menus. "Can I get you any refreshments?"
"Milk." A spiked black haired man said.
"Train! I'm sorry about his attitude." The green haired eye patched man sighed. "Eve and I will have some water."
"Alright." Mika nodded and then headed towards the kitchen.
Mika shivered, scared for her life, as the man in front of her pulled out a knife. Her heart was starting to race. "HEY! Let the girl go!" It was the green haired man again. The man in front of her with the knife looked over his shoulder. "I said, let the girl go."
The man with the knife laughed. "And what do you plan to do old man?"
"If you don't let her go, my partner will shot."
Mika gasped as the knife man pulled her in front of him and held the knife to her neck. "What partner?" A bullet suddenly grazed the man's arm.
"Let her go." The green haired man said calmly tipping his hat.
The knife man looked between the two and cut a small bit of blood along Mika's neck. "Careful." The green haired man flinched slightly. "You have no plan to kill me. You want my reward. You're sweepers." He laughed. "Now move."
"Are you alright?" The green haired man asked Mika. He handed her a cloth to dab at her wound.
"… Thank you…" Mika shivered thinking of how close to death she had been.
"Are you alright?" He asked again.
"A little shaken up…" She collapsed to the ground and sighed.
"Train, Eve go take care of Brumon."
"Right." The young girl nodded and grabbed part of the net holding the man who had attacked Mika. The black haired man grabbed another part and together they dragged him off.
Mika watched them leave and then turned to her saver. He pulled out a cigarette and started smoking. She frowned at him. "That's bad for your health."
He looked at her and smiled. He sat down and crushed his cigarette. "Sorry if it offends you."
"It's not offending. I just don't like seeing people smoking. It's bad for their health."
He smiled. "I won't smoke around you then." Mika smiled, but shivered touching her wound.
"You okay?"
"After I got over the shock I'll be fine."
He nodded. "Oh! I'm Sven Vollified."
Mika looked at him for a second. She smiled. "Mika…" She shifted as Sven watched her. "I… I don't really have a last name…"
"What do you mean?"
"…I was adopted when I was 8… And I never really had a last name… I never cared about it."
"Okay." He smiled calmly. He stood up and helped her up. "Allow me to walk you home Mika."
She nodded shocked at how nice he was. "…Thank… you."
"It's nothing. Just a simple task. As a gentleman I couldn't leave you alone."
Mika smiled gently. "Gentleman huh?"
Sven smiled and walked her towards her house. Mika smiled feeling calm despite her near death experience. "Is this your place?"
"Huh? Oh yeah. Thank you." Mika nodded looking at her apartment. "Thanks for all the help."
"It was nothing…"
"I know 'Gentleman'."
Sven smiled. "Good bye Mika." He turned and walked off.
Mika watched silently and then went inside.
Mika smiled and started to walk off. She froze as a man stepped into her path. It was Zane. "Hi angel. Been a while." Mika took a step back. He followed and went to punch her. She barely dodged and gasped as the damage to the ground his fist had done. "Heh, fast as ever Mika. Now don't hold back and fight me."
"How… How do you know my name…?"
"Oh don't play dumb!"
"MIKA!" Sven and Train were suddenly there. "Back off!"
The man stared at Sven and frowned. "Back off. This is a personal matter between Mika and I."
Sven frowned. "Mika do you know this guy?"
"N-No…" Mika shivered.
"Mika, you little liar!" Zane growled. "Stop playing DUMB!"
"It can't be… I was wondering why you looked the same." Zane laughed. "You lost your memory!"
"MIKA!" The man frowned and looked over to see Sven. He was breathing heavily and clutching a gun, pointed at the man.
"You pest! Stop interrupting! This time you won't survive!" He pulled out a gun and pointed it at Sven. "Bye pest."
"So what are you going to do now?" Train asked.
"I… I don't know…" Mika sighed weakly. "I guess I'll have to leave…"
"He'll come after you again." Eve said calmly.
Mika flinched and looked down. Everyone was silent. "Why don't you travel with us?" Train said suddenly.
Mika looked up. "What?"
"Well we can protect you, and I'm itching to re-fight him." He smirked.
Sven was silent for a moment and then smiled. "We can also try to help you learn more about yourself and your powers. What do you say Mika?"
She was silent for a moment and looked down. "…But…. That guy… He was so strong…"
"We can handle him." Train smirked.
"And I have powers similar to yours." Eve said calmly. "So I can help you learn to control them."
"Uh…" Mika gulped and then nodded. "O…Okay." She smiled weakly, but was scared.
"Don't worry Mika. Everything will be okay." He looked at her and smiled gently.
"Uh… Right…" She smiled cheering up slightly.
"Don't worry." Sven smiled. "You'll be safe with us."
"MIKA!" Sven called out rushing towards her. Mika sat up rubbing her eyes. "Thank goodness."
"What?" She yawned.
Train rushed over to the window and looked out frowning. "He's gone!"
"What's going on?" Mika asked getting out of bed.
"Someone was here…. Did you open your window?" Sven asked frowning.
"No…" Mika tensed. "What do we do?"
"Figure out who it is…. Eve did you get a glimpse of him?"
"Not good enough to describe him." Eve frowned. "Do you think it was that man, Jargon?"
"No." Mika said calmly. "Jargon wouldn't leave me alive." She frowned.
"What is it Mika?" Sven asked looking at her.
"It's nothing… We should leave town and hope to lose him."
Sven nodded calmly, but could tell she was hiding something.
She flinched getting up and spun kicking Zane. He let go of her leg and jumped back. "Stop it Jargon!"
"No way." Zane laughed. "You're finally getting serious."
"I don't want to fight." She turned and ran. Zane slammed into her knocking her off balance. She got up and frowned. "Fine then!" She shot at him and kicked him into the wall. She sighed turning to leave.
"Is that all?" She froze turning as Zane got up calmly. "Your friends put up more of a fight then you."
Mika froze. "What… are you talking about?!"
"Those sweepers. I didn't want them interrupting us this time." He smirked. "So I took care of them."
"No…" Mika froze tears coming to her eyes. She closed her eyes.
"Heh. It was easy. I particularly enjoyed taking out that man with the eye patch." Mika froze.
"MIKA!" Mika turned and spotted Sven running towards her. He wrapped his arms around her suddenly. "Mika I found you! Thank goodness you're alright." He pulled back and fingered her hair. "What happened to your hair…. What happened to you in general?"
"I… uh…. Who are you?" Mika asked, a bit nervous. "And how do you know me?"
"Oh Mika…" He touched her check gently. "You lost your memories… You… You don't remember me…"
"Uh… No…. I'm sorry… But, who are you?"
"My name is Sven… I'm your friend. We've been traveling together for a while. We also travel with our friends Train and Eve… Mika."
"If we are friends… Prove it."
Sven blinked and then gently touched the locket. "I gave this to you before we lost you… We didn't get around to putting a picture in… But we are going to. Mika I promise." He sighed as she stared at him blankly. "I had your name carved onto the front, so if you lost your memories again… you'd at least know your name."
Mika took a step back. "Anyone can claim that… If you really know me, then you'll give me proof!"
"I have no physical proof." Sven sighed. "And I don't know how much about yourself you know… I don't want to scare or worry you…"
Mika frowned. "What do you mean by that?"
Sven looked at her. "Mika… Please don't run… I know about you… I know about your wings." She flinched and he smiled. "You know what I'm talking about!"
"How… How did you know?!"
"I told you." He hugged her suddenly. "I'm your friend. Mika?" He gently whipped the tears that were at the corners of her eyes. "Are you okay?"
"I…I don't know why I'm crying… Did something bad happen between us?"
Sven looked at her. "Mika… everything is okay now. I'm here for you."
"S…Sven…" She whispered gently. It came out so easily, as if she had said the name many times before.
"It's okay Mika…" He looked down at her, and then suddenly leaned in and kissed her.
"MIKA!" Sven yelled as Mika collapsed against his chest.
"SVEN!" She clung to him tightly. "Your alive… Your alive! Jargon didn't kill you… He didn't …." She paused and looked at him, face flushed. "Sven you… kissed me."
"Did… did your memories return?" Sven asked.
"…All the one's I had when I first met you… and the ones when we were together, yes… Sven do you… do you love me?" Mika whispered the question.
Sven smiled. "Yes… I love you Mika… And I promise you, I'll help you recover the rest of your memories." Mika smiled happily and wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing him again.
"Come on Mika…" Sven smiled. "Let's go find Train and Eve, and tell them the good news… And then we can continue on… We've got some memories to find."
Sven walked towards Mika slowly. "Mika… I'm alright. So is Eve." Mika was crying. Zane had almost killed him.
"This time… I don't …. I'm sorry Sven." She leaned in and kissed him. "I'll see you again…. After I've found the answers I'm looking for."
"Mika." Sven frowned.
"Sven…" Mika smiled gently and hugged him. "I can take care of myself… But not you and Eve… I wouldn't be able to stand it if anything happened to you… So please let me take care of this myself…" She took off her locket and handed it to him.
"Mika!"
"I'll be back for that." She smiled. "Until then will you hold onto it for me?"
"But!" He frowned.
"Don't worry. I wrote myself a note in my mini notebook. It tells me all about myself, including my love for you." She kissed him again. "Please let me go for now…"
"Alright." He sighed, hugging her tightly. "But please be careful… I couldn't live without you."
Mika smiled as she pulled back. "Train take care of him. Eve keep these two out of trouble."
Eve nodded and Train smiled. "You take care out there Mika… And we'll see you soon."
Mika smiled. Train understood her need to leave. "I won't be gone long hopefully… You keep up with your sweeper work and try to not go broke."
Sven sighed and looked at Train. "That will be hard."
"How are you going to get around?" Eve asked. "You don't have a car."
"But I have feet and wings." Mika smiled. "Don't worry. I know what I'm doing… Good bye." She nodded and turned walking off. "I will see you again… I promise."
Mika turned down another hallway and slowed to a halt as a more familiar scent hit her nose. Tears began to fill her eyes. She grinned and rushed forward towards the scent. She shot forward and wrapped her arms around the gentleman. "SVEN!"
The group came to a halt and Sven looked down. "Mika?!"
"Oh Sven!" Mika smiled happily. "I've found you! I've found you!"
"Mia, what are you doing here?" A woman with a tattoo number one on her forehead asked.
"It's a long story." Mika shrugged and looked over seeing another man with dark greenish black hair was walking up. "Hey!" She waved but half way collapsed to the ground.
"MIKA!" Sven yelled at the same time as the other man. Both rushed to her side.
"Mika, what happened?!" Sven asked. He touched her back gently and Mika flinched. It felt like her wings had been touched at the broken part.
"My wings were broken… when I was brought here by the guy named Doctor… They are still broken and it hurts if I force them out." She whispered.
"When you forced them out earlier!" Eve gasped. "You hurt them more didn't you?"
Mika nodded. "I'm stuck like this."
"I already called Rinslet! She's brining a helicopter here to pick up the injured." The other man said. "Mika, you can go there too!"
"No… I want to stay with Sven." Mika whispered and looked at Sven and smiled. "Sven…. I love you…"
Sven smiled down at her gently. "Oh Mika…"
"So this is the guy you left us for…" The other man looked at Sven and sighed. He stood up. "Hey Sephiria you okay?" He looked at the other woman.
She nodded. "Mika… I take it that you don't wish to join Chronos anymore."
Mika nodded. "I'm going to stay with Sven now… Him, Train, and Eve… They are my family."
Sephiria nodded. "Train, take care of her."
Train nodded and smiled. "Let's get off this island now and head home."
"Train your gun." Sephirira said suddenly. Mika looked down and saw it at Train's side. It was halfway destroyed.
"Oh yeah this." He shrugged. "It's no big deal."
"Come on then." Eve said. "Let's go now. We need to get Mika to a hospital."
"A hospital won't help me… I just need rest." Mika yawned to emphasize her point. She blushed as Sven picked her up, careful of avoiding her wing's spot.
"I'll take care of you Mika, I promise." She smiled and cuddled up in his chest.
Mika smiled as Sven kissed her gently as they walked. "I'm so glad we are back together." Mika smiled and kissed him back.
"So am I." She rested her head on his chest. "I love you so much Sven. I never want to be away from you again. I want to stay with you for the rest of my life."
"Mika… I love you." Sven leaned in and kissed her again. "I always will."
"Mika…" Sven took a step towards her.
"Don't come near her!" Kaim growled.
"Sven…" Mika whispered, tears rolling down her cheeks. It felt like she was watching a movie of her life. There were pieces missing, until she remembered her father and brother, then her mother. It was like once she saw their faces they filled back the beginning memories. "I remember…" Mika gasped. She leaned into Kaim's chest and looked at Sven feeling extremely weak. "I remember everything.
