I groaned, shifting myself on the ground. All I could remember was that Roodaka attacked me and Sydney, then the next thing I knew, I was here. Wherever 'here' is, I thought as I looked around and saw bars around me. I sat up again, tears welling up a little. I wanna see my friends again… Heck… I miss Syd's random hugs… I thought awkwardly as I stood up and passed. I was also getting some bad vibes from this room. Like people were there before I was.

"Ah, so you're finally awake," a voice said, and I turned to see a blue bat-like being enter through a hole in the ceiling. I gasped and went to the wall, eyes wide with horror.

"L-let me think-guess….. Y-y-you're a M-m-makuta." I stammered as I stepped back.

"You are correct on that." He said as he walked over to the bars, tilting his head as he studied me.

"My friends will seek-find me. And they will-"

"Do what? Make me tremble in fear?" He spat at me, grabbing the bars. I glared at him, feeling the static electricity flow.

"I don't want injure-hurt you…" I said bat-like Makuta growled.

"Don't you even think about it!" He hissed.

"Vamprah, knock it off. Teridax wants her alive." Another voice said, and a white mantis-like Makuta crawled out of the hole, dropping from the ceiling and landed next to Vamprah.

"Oh really? I heard Roodaka captured this one for her own amusement." Vamprah wined. "Can't I at least have a little fun before Mutran gets ahold of her?"

"I can still hear-listen you…" I muttered darkly. The two of them looked at me, and I sank down a little.

"Funny, didn't think that this one would talk back. Mutran is sure going to have fun with you." The white Makuta chuckled before leaving, shortly followed by Vamprah; who glared at me as he left.

"Don't get too comfy." Vamprah hissed as he left, then I was all alone again. Then again… better alone than with those creeps, I thought musingly, looking for a way to escape. I saw no door, but how did they manage to get me in here? They probably just dragged me down through the hole up there. I thought as I looked at the hole. I then looked over and saw a door. Or they used that...I rolled my eyes and went for looking for a lock or handle. I did find what looked like a keypad or hand scanner. I frowned at that, wondering how the heck I was supposed to open it, my eyes widened. Well that was a stupid-dumb thought… I grinned as I directed some of my element into the keypad and short-circuited it. Now to get out of here quick-fast. I thought as I bolted to the door, only to run head on into something.

"Owwww…" I groaned and looked up, paling at what I saw. A monstrous being stood before me, alongside him was Roodaka, who was smiling promptly. "Ahh….. Hi?" I managed to get out, crab-walking backwards.

"Did you think you could get away that easily?" Roodaka sneered, then pointed a finger at me. "Get her." Two Rahkshi advanced toward me as I stared up at the one Makuta that I could only guess was the reason why we were all here.

"Teridax?" I gulped as I backed away from the others.

"So one of the 'Toa Terra' has already heard of me." Teridax said, an evil grin crossing his face. I could on responded with a odd look at him. I could feel myself shaking in fear, But I refused to show them that I was afraid of them. I also had a feeling if I was failing horribly at that. The two Rahkshi grabbed my arms, resulting in the two of them being electrified. I couldn't help but to giggle as they twitched on the ground, which I knew wasn't right. Roodaka stared at me, a very agitated expression on her face. Teridax seemed bemused at the fact that I was annoying the crap out of her. But the amusement didn't last very long, for Roodaka grabbed me by the arm and started to drag me. I responded to that by planting my feet to the ground and making a face at her, causing for her to sneer at my actions.

"You maaaad?" I couldn't help but to ask, doing my best troll face at her. Roodaka finally seemed to blow a gasket, mostly because she finally just threw me out of the hall and pushed me into walking in front of her. I gulped, thinking that it was a bad idea to piss her off. But then again…. Better to make their life-dawn miserable if they make mine miserable. I thought to myself, earning another shove from the female Makuta. "I'm going, I'm going! Geez! Miss Bossy-pants, much?" I muttered the last bit, moving a little faster to avoid getting pushed again.

Our little walk didn't last very long, because within a minute, we were in lab. I looked around, and spotted something out of the corner of my eye, making me gasp. From what I could tell, the creature inside of the tank looked like a human, male apparently, only his arm and a small part of his torso was mechanical. A three fingered hand twitched, and I could hear the joints popping as they stretched out. But it wasn't that, it was his face. It looked like he was mutated into something before they did that to him.

"Mutran, it seems he's waking up." Roodaka said, a small but evil grin crossed her face.

"BAH! He's been doing that for the past couple of days. And it didn't help that Ruunaja almost killed him!" Another Makuta; only with a bat face, barked, but glanced up at the man's medical status before looking at me. "So this is the newest experiment? Kinda scrawny." Was his statement.

"Before you do anything with her, be careful, she may 'shock' you." Roodaka warned, and again I giggled at the image of the twitching Rahkshi on the ground. But the sudden feeling of weightlessness made me panic a little bit, before I realized I was on a table, back up to the ceiling. I focused my eyes on 'Mutran' as he held what looked like a measuring tape.

"Hmm… I may have to recalculate the dosage and part sizes." The Makuta muttered to himself, but I wasn't paying any attention to him. My focus was on the tank. The fingers gave another twitch.

Screams, tears, fading pain. That's all I remember at this point. Shita cryin', telling me to stay with her, and Michael. Poor kid, had a whole future ahead of him, now he's here, trapped with monsters. I would have snorted if I could, but the dead can't snort. But if this is death…. where are the others? I couldn't help but open my eyes slightly, and I could make out three shapes, but they were blurry. Not to mention that there were… Wait, bubbles? I attempted to blink the fuzziness out of my eyes. The gears in my head started to turn. The dead can't see, I should be dead. That one thought sent a twitch throughout my body. A faint sound reached my ears, followed by another one. The dead can't hear…. I should be dead. What sounded like mumbling started up. Another twitch. I… I…. I shouldn't even be alive. A trident to the stomach is considered fatal! My mind screamed .The beastly part of me was freaking started swirling around, movement started to return to my limbs. I finally raised my head and screamed. My arm lashed out, hitting something solid. I want out!

Mutran finally turned his head at the sound of glass cracking. I flinched at the sound, but to the Makuta, panic flooded his face.

"No!" I heard him gasp. The feeling of cold metal made me yelp a little. I watched the panicked Makuta dash over to check the mans status and swore. Pushing several buttons that I couldn't track, the tank started to drain. But not before the glass shattered and the man fell forward, landing on all fours, struggling to get up on two legs. It didn't help that he started to dry heave. Mutran immediately went over to him to check him over. I didn't understand what had but him in such a panic, but now he seemed to have calmed down a little.

"Next time, be a good experiment and not destroy the glass?" Mutran muttered to himself. He must have heard what Mutran had said, because he made a blind swipe at the Makuta. When he missed, he turned his head and spat on him. I couldn't help but to laugh.

"You show him!" I whooped in cheer. His angular head turned towards me and smiled, and I quickly took note that his eyes were hazy, as if he couldn't see just yet. Before he could say something to me, Mutran grabbed him and dragged him out of the lab, yelling something about incompetent experiments… or something like that. I looked around the lab, seeing that this might be my only chance at seeing it before I'm taken back to cells. Various sets of tools lay around, medical included. Chemicals in test tubes bubbled in response to something was put into it not that long ago. But the one thing that had me worried was the fact that there was what looked like to be a set of mechanical wings, far too large for a normal human. I froze, remembering what Mutran was muttering about before. I may have to recalculate the dosage and part sizes. "Oh no. He better-sure not be joke-kidding me." I muttered to myself.

"You bet, girlie. But I didn't guess that you were human when Roodaka brought you in. So it'll take a couple of hours before I'm ready to do the….. hmmm.." Mutran had walked back in, and heard my statement at what I had seen, and he couldn't seem to find a word for what he was going to call the surgery. Mutran finally went back to measuring my back, and scribbled down some notes. I shivered. I was scared; no… thats not the right word for this, I was petrified of what was going to happen to me after he was done. I didn't realize that I had shifted to my Toa form, because Mutran had a 'moment'.

"AHA! That's it! Maybe I don't have to change the older measurements!" He exclaimed, beaming with pride, but continued in his measuring, as in to make sure if he was wrong. After that the metal that held me down moved, and I was again lifted, but dropped to the ground. After I recovered from the sudden drop, a sharp push made me stumble forward.

"I'm going!" I muttered, but I went a little faster in my pace, I didn't want to be pushed again. Upon reaching the 'cell block'; as I decided to call it, I was pushed into the cell that I was in before. Only…. There was someone else inside of the cell with me.

I fought as I was dragged across the ground, and tossed into a cell. I did manage to piss off the Mukuta that dragged me, mostly because I spat on him. But now here I was, in a dark and damp cell. I did manage to get up and take a few wobbly steps to a corner of the cell and curled up the best I could. Everything was cold, but I was pretty sure that I was hot, mostly because the cell wall when I touched it was cool. I could finally see, too. I did a quick sweep of the room. Ah, the others did escape. I thought to myself, seeing that no one was in the cells. It's just me… That lone thought crossed my mind, made me wonder, what if the others are in those… things? I gave a low growl. I will show them the real meaning of pain. I thought; I swear, I made a promise-! My thoughts were interrupted as I heard the cell door open. I turned my head just enough to see who it was. It was the Mukuta who dragged me into the cell, and… another robotic being; same thing that Michael had turned into, only female. She glared at the Makuta as he shoved her into the cell.

"Now you two keep each other company, and I'll be back for you," He pointed to the female, "In a couple of hours." The cell doors closed, leaving the two of us alone.

"Yeah, right…. Please be bog-footed." She muttered, and leaned onto the cell bars, that was before she noticed I was in the corner and walked over to me. I didn't move, only following her with my eyes, up until she was kneeling in front of me and studying me.

"May I help you?" I asked out of pure nerves. The robot blinked, and her form wavered to a human form, I tilted my head at this. "You know…. there's a kid that I know… could do the same thing you can do." I stated, reaching over with my right arm. I froze half way, finally getting a good look at my whole arm. Mechanical. Those bastards cut off my arm and fashioned me a brand new one. I gave a quick gulp, and looked over at the girl. She didn't seem so phased by my appearance, at all.

Poor guy, was my first thought as he realized that his arm was completely mechanical. I winced, still thinking about the metal that was on his stomach. Made me wonder how he ended up like that.

"Ahh… Mister?" He flinched back to reality and looked at me. "Forgive me for speak-asking, but how did you end up here?" He only looked at me. I think that he was a bit stupefied by his new appearance.

"I'm a marine…. I was stationed in Afghanistan with a friend of mine, Tech." He started, ruffing his dirty brown-blond hair. "She… and I were on patrol when we heard something. That thing, came up from behind us. Got Sh-... Tech first… then me." He gave a sigh and turned back to his little corner. I then scooted next to him.

"I was at school me and my Toa-siblings where snatch-grabbed." I told him, trying to keep our conversation going. He gave a low growl, and I heard him muttering something under his breath, eyes changing from a jade color, to a sickly green. I gulped, and sat down next to him, suddenly realizing how cold it was. After several minutes, a sigh and a 'come here', an arm gently pulled me closer, as if to attempt to warm me up.

"Hey!" I started, but I looked at him, and saw that he had a very lonely expression on his face.

"It gets cold down in here… and my name's Mich… just so ya know." Mich said calmly. I could only blink. It made me wonder if my earlier prediction was right.

"Mine's Amanda…" I told Mich. Mich didn't say anything.

It seemed like it was only a couple of minutes, because not long after I closed my eyes, I was wrenched from Mich's grip. I screamed as I was pulled out of the safety of the cage. Mich had awoke at the feeling of me gone, because the second Mutran had dragged me out, he roared and lunged forward, only for the cell door to be shut on him, making him run into the bars face first. Mich grunted, and attempted to regain what little bit of balance he had. By then, I was still struggling to escape Mutran's grip. Finally, I decided to give him a taste of my element, when I realized something was wrong. Only a couple of sparks emitted from my body, I started to panic a little bit. Again I tried, same result, only less. I screamed; mostly in panic, and started to kick and punch. Mutran didn't seem all that phased, but he did throw me down on the the lab table. I started to struggle against his hold to strap me down the the table. Mutran finally was able to strap me down onto the table, but I had clearly put him in a very bad mood, mostly because he pulled up a syringe and drew out the contents in the bottle that was sitting next to it.

"Its clear that you're not going to be very cooperative with this operation, so I added a little something….. special, to it. Night night." My eyes widened, I couldn't move, a prick of a needle, numbness and sleepiness came over me. I fought to keep my eyes open. Too late, blackness greeted me.

Mich passed, holding his head, punching the cell bars, swearing on occasion and growling as well. He hated himself for not being prepared for the Makuta grabbing the girl while he was asleep, he should have been more prepared for this. No….. I can't deal with what he could be doing to Amanda… not after the twins and Nick.. Gears started to go faster, composing several different plans to get out, when the blue, bat-like Makuta entered. Mich stared at him, seeing that he'd brought him food.

"Ah, nice to see you up, wish that I could woken you up myself." He tutted at Mich, making the Hordika narrow his eyes. But when he opened a small door at the bottom, the Bat made a mistake. "Just don't fall back asleep, Chirox is going to come do a couple of tests on ya in a little while." Mich looked up at the Makuta as he left, a plan had formed, but it was going to involve a lot of punching.

Mutran hummed slightly, quite pleased on how this was going. Despite the shallow breathing, and a lot of blood, he was able to get the joints attached to the Toa of Lightning's shoulders, as well as the other parts of the wings as well. He was just fitting the last part, when he heard a roar, and Chirox scream, which was abruptly cut off. Mutran looked up after fitting the last part on. This experiment was complete, but it wasn't that, it was the roar that bothered him. Starting towards the entrance to the lab, he undid the girl's straps, knowing that she wasn't going to be waking up anytime soon, and slowly walked to the entrance. Nothing, not even the sound of breathing. Maybe he knocked out Chirox and took off. Bah, won't take that long to find him anyways. Mutran thought to himself, taking a look outside the lab. Again, nothing, not a sight of the Hordika. He shrugged and went back the sleeping Toa. A wing gave a slight twitch, the other flexing a little bit. Mutran's grin widened. He was thankful that Roodaka let him do the experiment, and not Chirox, and that the nerves in her body had accepted the new limbs.

"I mean, seriously? Put a jetpack on the Vo-Toa? Seriously? You might as well put a pair of arms on a Kikanalo and tell it to read!" He mused with himself, shaking his head and reaching for the unconscious Toa. That was his initial idea, until he was backhanded across the room. Mutran recovered enough to look up and see Mich flexing the joints in his mechanical arm.

"Thanks for the arm, asshole. It came in real handy knocking out your buddy back there." Mich seethed at the slightly baffled Makuta. Maybe letting Chirox give him that arm was a bad idea, Mutran thought before reaching up to grab something, hopefully a sedative to knock the angry 'marine' out. It was a medical mirror that he managed to grab. Mich grinned. "Bad luck?" Mich ponced on the startled Makuta. "Maybe so! But this is-" Mich stopped mid-sentence when Mutran pushed him off, jumping back onto his feet, hoping that he would have the upper hand now. "This is for all the deaths and pain you caused!" Mich roar, using his mechanical arm like a bat. The momentum was just enough to make Mutran lose his balance, but it was Mich needed. He grabbed the back of his head and bashed it off the table.

I watched the Makuta go into unconsciousness almost immediately, a large dent in his mask. Nows not the time to gloat over a victory, get the civilians out. The marine part of my mind spoke out, and I looked over at Amanda. A lot of blood, but whatever had been done by the Makuta was finished, the wound was sealed. I again looked at the Makuta, then went over to the unconscious teenager, and lifted her up, and I at least attempted to maneuver Amanda just right so I wasn't crushing her new limbs. I finally decided to carry her "bridal style", much to my distaste, but I have to deal with it until she came to. I started back towards the "energized protodermis" room, hoping that the hole that Kuzumi was still there. Thankfully, it was, but I was spotted by two other Makuta.

"HEY! Stop!" One shouted, but I didn't stop. I had to get the 'civilian' out of the red zone. What looked like over sized spheres and spinners fly over my head, I didn't stop, getting out of there, and to safety was my first objective.

I groaned and shivered, feeling the air getting colder against my body. Wait…. I'm moving? I thought oddly to myself, before slowly opening my eyes. Everything was blurry, but I could tell that we were moving as I felt a breeze against my skin. Low panting was also audible to me as well.

"Mich….? Is…. is that you?" I managed to get out, but it sounded very odd. The breeze slowly came to a stop, and I felt my body being set down carefully.

"Amanda? Can you hear me?" Mich started, and I felt his cold metallic hand touch my shoulder. I shivered at the touch, and groaned again, this time feeling something putting pressure onto my back. I again groaned, vision clearing. Mich was looking at me fairly worried, but gave a sigh of relief as he realized I was up. "Thank god, I was worried there for a while…" he muttered, ruffling his hair. I slowly got to a sitting position, and took in the area that we were in.

"Mich? My back….. are there….. umm… wings?" I whispered, scared. Mich flinched at the question, grit his teeth, and gave a sorrowful look directed towards me.

"I'm sorry 'manda….. I got there too late…" Mich started, but then made a sound that crossed a growl and a groan, his eyes giving off a sickly green color, and breathing harder. I gulped, trying to think of something to say, to calm the Hordika down.

"M-m-mich…. Please calm down…. you're scaring me." I whimpered, staring wide eyed at him. Mich's breathing did slow down, and he looked back at me.

"I'm sorry…" He apologised, looking away. I got up, and wobbly walked to Mich.

"It's not your fault that the Makuta did this to you, they're just evil-bad." I assured him. "And what they did to me, but that doesn't matter now, its what we deep-think about ourselves….." I said, offering my hand to him. He stared at the wall for a little while, but then directed his eyes to my offered hand. I smiled warmly, again extending my hand to him. Mich hesitates for a minute, but grabs my hand and nods. But before he lets go, I notice the unease in his eyes, as if he's…. afraid of what he's becoming. I grinned, mostly in an attempt to assure him. "Come on! Let's get out of these, umm…. caves?" I said, starting to led him further down the cave system.

Wallace looked around, ears pricked and tense. Ever since he was hurt, and unintentionally left behind(the others thought he was killed, but his mask only gave him the appearance of being dead), he was left to fend for himself. But he was thankful that he almost knew these tunnels within a short amount of time after a couple of days. One of the benefits of his new body was that he could hear, sense and smell if trouble was coming in any direction, even though it was going to be a while to get used to, advantage was the better than being comfortable with his enhanced senses. He sighed. It reminded Wallace what he had been through with his fellow team in their prime, being the caves, doofing off.… But now… He wasn't the man he used to be. Resorting to hiding from the Matoran, taking food from storage. But at this point, Wallace was going to do anything to survive. His ears gave a sudden twitch, putting him on high alert as he heard voices become closer to his position. As they got closer, Wallace could almost make out the shapes of two beings, one far larger than the second one, while the other had 'lumps' attached to the shadow. Going low, and hoping that it was two dark for the two beings to see him, Wallace waited for them to pass. But something caught his attention. One of the voices sounded familiar to him.

"Do you have any idea where we're going?" A female voice sounded nervously.

"Ahhhh….. Yes?" The other voice said, a slight rasp to it. Wallace felt his eyes widen. It can't be…. Mich died… How is he-! Wallace stopped himself, remembering that Mich's body was left behind with the Makuta to experiment with it.

"SST! Mich! Is that you?!" Wallace quietly called out, ears pricked. The two beings stopped, and amid the shadows, he could make out the shapes of them.

"George? Is that you?" Wallace sighed, feeling some what better that his suspicion was confirmed. Pulling out a light stone, Wallace lifted it up to see their faces. What he saw startled him. He was right about Mich being one of the beings, while the other was a teenage girl, staring wide-eyed at him. But it wasn't that. Mich made an awkward face. "It's….. A loooong story…" He stated, rubbing the back of his head. The girl remained silent, wings twitching. I took note of the irony smell, I went towards her, making the girl stiffen slightly.

"Are you alright?" He asked her, quickly thinking of ways to quail the girls nerves if need. She looked at me and Wallace swore slightly to himself, she looked just like Alice.

"My name is Amanda….. and I'm ok…" She looked at her new found wings. "But these are going to take a little getting used to." Amanda finished with a sheepish smile. Wallace smiled back and directed his attention to Mich.

"We should get moving, the Rahkshi patrol down in this tunnel every other hour, so we need to move now." Wallace stated. The two nodded, and he lead them towards his 'base camp'.

I'm really confused right now. This "George" person reminded me of Jessica, his eyes though, they seemed to be paling slightly. It didn't help comfort me any when Mich easily recognised him. Also the fact that he was covered in what looked like old wounds. Little spines on his back where broken in some places, and scars covered his neck.

"George, hate to ask you, but… where's the others?" Mich finally broke the silence with his question. George kept walking forward, but he did say this; "We got separated, Michael stayed behind to fight Ruuanja." I picked up at Michaels name.

"Michael? The last I saw him was in Ga-Metru, with the rest of us! I'm not sure is the Snake-faced lady got him or not." I told him. George looked at me, faded Ta Toa eyes staring at me.

"Others?" He whispered, and I nodded, he looked away, but then back at me. "We need to hurry." And with that George picked up the pace. Mich looked at me and started to follow, me in tow. I blinked, taking note that the caves started to change, what looked like stais tubes started to to pop up. I looked around even more, seeing what looked like graves with objects near them. Mich saw this as well, and stopped clearly in awe.

"George? What ar-"

"Matoran graves… ones that I'd found dead in here.. Poor souls…" George stopped Mich mid sentence, and looked back at them, sorrow in his eyes. I looked at him, again, filled with emotion, and way too much familiarity in them. Mich must have noticed my face making and said; "You, know, your face will get stuck like that if you keep that up." I stopped making faces and retorted.

"No it won't. I've done it so many times that it hasn't happened yet."

"Doesn't mean it won't happen." He chuckled, sending a smug grin at me. I stuck my tongue out at him.

"Hey, keep up will you? I maybe old, but it doesn't mean that I'm that slow." George called out, causing us to realize that he looked a bit annoyed. Mich and I just stared at him, then looked at each other. Devious grins crossed both of our faces. "... Ok….. What are you two planning?" George asked nervously.

"CHARGE!" I whooped, and Mich dashed forward, George's face at the time was…. Well, hysterical. His eyes boggled and he ducked behind the door he was behind. I laughed heartily as he did it. Mich laughed along.

"OH! Very funny you two, very funny!" George scolded, but I could tell that he wasn't that mad at us. Once we had settled down, George gave us both some food, which the two of us thankfully ate. I was patient enough to chew my food, Mich…. Mich swallowed his in a couple of measly bites. I stared at him, suddenly startled at his actions. But I was slowly starting to piece the puzzle together now.

"They…. did something to you…." I started, but trailed off. Even George looked a little shocked at Mich's actions, but as surprised as I'd thought he'd be. Mich looked a little ashamed, mostly because he bowed his head and looked away from us. Something had happened to him, and clearly his time in that tube didn't help at all really.

"I'm really not that sure of what they did to me… but… something about Kavi-nika genes? Something like that.." Mich muttered, looking away. George only blinked and carefully put away the remaining food that wasn't eaten.

"We should be moving now, we might find the others down here." This stirred my attention, making me wonder if there were more humans down here in the Archives.

"Wait? There's more?" I asked quickly, Mich nodded to my question.

"Yeah, remember what I told you about Tech?" He asked me, and I nodded. "There was also a couple of others with us as well. Three kids and four adults in total before our escape attempt." George only nodded in agreement, mostly because he looked deep in thought. I blinked and looked to Mich.

"Is he always deep-thinking?" I asked questionly, but quietly as well. Mich looked thoughtful for a second and gave a slight nod.

"Yeah, I guess he had family back home, I heard him a couple of times talking to himself." Mich shrugged. My brow furrowed a little bit, and I looked back at George, who started to mumble to himself. I made a face towards him, but sighed. George looked at the two of us.

"Its time to go, we need to move. I have a feeling that we might find your friends Amanda." I perked up slightly and smiled.

"Hey, we might also find Shita and the others too!" Mich exclaimed, giving a very enthusiastic grin. I grinned meekly at the Marine. Hopefully we could find a way out of these caves.

It's hard to believe, but…. I was actually happy with these new beings. George was definitely living up for his age, it might have been the mutation through, which he seemed not very pleased by it. Mich seemed just happy to see another human being, and he was able to talk like I was his fellow soldier. I was content, but the feeling about George was still there, when he suddenly stopped, halting the two of us. Mich must have gotten the vibe, because he started to growl.

"Quiet Mich, we don't want them to hear us." George hissed quietly, ushering us to a smaller entrance. I went still, listening to the sounds, and the hair on the back of my neck rose.

"Makuta-sons!" I gasped quietly, inching my back to the wall. Mich and George both gave low growls, only the red mutant caught himself and stopped. Mich's went to a very low growl, which I attempted to stop, only for a couple of them to step into view, as if sniffing the air and clutching their staffs. For one, I wasn't to keen on seeing those staffs to work their magic. When one of them neared our hiding spot, George crouched low, as if to ponce. But I was already two steps ahead of him. Using Mich to vault towards the Rahkshi, I sent a torrent of electricity at the one closest to me. One down, two to go, I thought, but before I could whip around to attack the other Rahkshi, something grabbed me by one of the wings. I gave a very sudden, and a very sharp yelp. Mich's sudden roar ripped through the air, and again I felt weightless, but I quickly realized that the Marine had pulled me from the black Rahkshi's grasp and was have what looked like a staring contest with it. I wiggled to escape, and took note that Mich was not the person to 'eff' with. Looking over at George, I saw that he had already defeated the other Rahkshi, and seemed very hesitant to intervene. I sudden dropped, and Mich was roaring like a lion, and the Rahkshi's scream cut through the air, but stopped suddenly. I looked up at Mich, who was standing over the now dead creature. It made me worry even more.

"Amanda. We need to go, now." I flinched back to reality as George carefully helped me up. I looked towards Mich, whom finally seemed to get ahold of himself, stood back a little ways, as if to stay well away from the two of us. Sanity was now at question, but then again….. Are we the sane ones? Or are we all slowly going insane?
