Hey Kablamoids. This chapter is for the 17th anniversary of Kablam! The non-flashback parts take place the same day as the episode "More happiness than allowed by law".
The show had wrapped up a few hours ago and June decided to go back home. She was sitting in her room looking at the new mood ring on her finger. The ring was currently the color blue which indicated that she was happy.
June smiled and looked over to the side of her bed. There was a picture framed on her nightstand and she picked it up to look at it. It was of her and Henry the day they met.
"I remember it like it was yesterday." she said out loud.
Her mind flashed back to that day. It was a little over a year ago. They were both going to audition to be the hosts of Kablam. Little June had her hair down to her thighs and had bows on the sides of her hair, Henry wore a suit and had his hair combed. The two sat in the audition room. They briefly acknowledged each other as they waited with several other kids.
After both of their turns (and multiple safes dropped on Henry) the two of them were called up. "Henry Segan and June McIlvaine, you are the new hosts of Kablam." the director announced. The kids looked overjoyed and celebrated to themselves as the other kids left the studio disappointed.
Henry turned to June and introduced himself "Hi I'm Henry, it's going to be fun working with you." June shook his hand and said "Glad to meet ya, I'm June. And back at ya Henry."
Back in the present June smiled and then look at herself in the mirror. "Then the day before filming I decided to cut my hair.." she felt her ponytail and remembered what happened next.
Henry had been standing in the studio with his normal look on, June tapped his shoulder and he turned around. "Can I help you?" he asked her confused. June was wearing her current attire and had her hair in its usual ponytail "Henry, it's me June." she told him. Henry looked at her shocked and asked "What happened to your hair?!" "I cut it." she bluntly told him. "I think you looked better before." he admitted. June felt a surge of anger and proceeded to whack him in the head with her script.
"And that was the first time I ever hit him." she fondly remembered. "Henry may be a moron most of the time." she looked at her ring "But I wouldn't change him for the world." she smiled. The ring turned purple and June took out the manual and looked up what purple meant.
"Let's see, purple means...love...wait what!?" she realized what it said. Love! She blushed at this and quickly took off the ring and placed it next to her bed. She laid down and covered her face as it blushed a bright red. 'I'm glad no ones here to see this.' she thought.
Suddenly, her door opened and Henry stepped in. "Hey, June. Your dad invited me over for cake." he told her. In a swift motion, June grabbed her pillow and threw it at Henry with great forced and yelled "Henry get out of my room!". The blow sent Henry flying into the wall as June managed to stop blushing and calmed down.
"Did you have to knock me into a wall?" Henry asked in a strained voice. "Sorry Henry."June said as she walked out. She then thought to herself 'you always hurt the ones you love.'
